Luke was running from a rather large dog. He didn't like the dog, it was a bad dog, not like his dog K-9. Then again few things were like his K-9. For one thing his K-9 was robotic and not from Earth. This dog was big and scary, it was also loud. He had tried to talk to it like he talked to K-9 and it growled at him and started to chase him. He kept running until he came up near a building. He dived into the building and hid. When the barking died down he left the building.
The barking started and once again the boy took off running. This was worse than the bad aliens, he didn't know what he did wrong. He kept running until he found another building, this one unfamiliar. He debated but the feeling of the hot breath sped up his debate and he took off running again. He dove into the building and slammed the door closed. "Not all dogs are good."

Ace thought she heard barking over the soft music but shrugged it off and kept working on an upside down crunch, her legs bent at the knee over a metal rod she’d installed for pull ups and stuff like that. Pulling herself up level with the rod Ace relaxed and straightened out so she swung upside down for a minute, thinking.
Frowning she heard it again, definitely a dog barking keeping her eyes closed she listened to the tone of the dogs bark, it was chasing something. Ace knew she should let it go probably just a dog chasing a cat or something but for some reason she just couldn’t let it go.
Reaching up Ace grabbed ahold of the bar unhooking her legs and flipping back down to the floor. She knew some of the building didn’t have electricity so Ace went over and grabbed a torch before heading out to look around.

"I am NOT A PROBLEM! I’m a…tactical consideration!"
Luke ran into the warehouse and hid behind a box. He knew the dog would keep following him and a simple box wouldn't help him. He was scared, he didn't like being scared. "Help! Somebody please help!" What was he going to do now? He needed to find a way to get out of this. "Somebody please help me!" That was when he heard the dog's bark getting closer.
He darted up to the stairs and scrambled rather loudly up them. He reached the top just as the angry dog burst in. What was wrong with this dog? He scrambled back and began to wait. He was sure the dog did not know how to get up to him. Then he heard the clicking of the claws on wood. Oh know! The dog is trying to climb up here! What do I do now?
He had only been scared so many times before. Right now he was really scared. He sat down behind another crate and began to search for a possible weapon. He smiled grimly when he found a long metal pipe, he didn't want to hurt the dog but he would if he needed to.

"Help! Somebody please help!" Ace stopped for a moment because she wasn’t sure she heard right, when really she knew damn well she had heard correctly "Somebody please help me!" Ace took off in a dead sprint shining the flashlight down corridors as she came to them not checking to see if where she was had electricity or not just trying to find the source of the voice.
“I hear you, where are you?!” stopping Ace took a deep breath and listened again, she could hear what she thought was an animal walking around“Come on, once more pal, tell me where you are.”

Luke heard the woman calling for him. He gulped then gave another couple shouts for help. The dog below him whined and continued to try and get at him Luke felt the distinct feeling that the dog wanted to eat him, not exactly a pleasant feeling. “HEEEELLLP!!!” He scrambled back as the dog’s large jaw inched over the top of the ladder. “So the answer to my question is yes, dogs can climb.” He shuddered as he looked at the large dog coming for him, he frantically looked for anything to use as a weapon.

“HEEEELLLP!!!” Ace snapped open her eyes and took off in the direction she heard the boys voice, coming around the corner she watched for a second as a menacing looking dog climbed a ladder going after who, Ace had to hazard a guess 14 maybe 15 years old, oh to be that young again she wouldn’t even wish for that.
Moving her fingers to her lips Ace let out a loud whistle to get the dogs attention “Oi! Short, furry and ugly, how about you pick on someone your own size.” she could smell the dog from here and she didn’t like it.

Luke about leaped from his skin when he heard the whistle. So that’s what that metaphor means. He watched satisfied as the dog’s snuffling nose stopped and disappeared. Fore six whole seconds he feared the dog would continue for him. Then he saw the ladder give a jolt and then the soft clicking thud of the dog landing on the floor. He crawled to the ladder and saw the large dog staring at a woman and he gulped. He had endangered this woman. “LOOK OUT!”

Ace stood her ground and watched as the dog turned its attention to her “LOOK OUT!” holding up a hand in Lukes direction in a calm down I’ve got this gesture but never taking her eyes off the dog she started to move towards the animal slowly, softly “You don’t want to eat him, he’s still just a kid most you’re gonna get is gristle, how about I take you somewhere where you can hunt properly?”
Stay focused on me, you don’t want the kid. she was trying to coax then animal to move as she circled so she could put herself in between it and the kid. “Come on, I know you can understand me in some way.”

Luke watched as the dog focused on it’s new target. He felt terrible, it was his fault this dog was now going to eat this nice woman who had tried to save him. He flinched as the dog growled at her. Obviously the dog wanted to eat both of them. Wait why was she encouraging the big dog to hunt? Shouldn’t she be taking the creature to the pound or something? He looked at her in confusion. What was she on about?
“Come on, I know you can understand me in some way.”
He watched as the dog actually seemed to deliberate a bit, and then something incredible happened the dog actually began to speak. “I want to hunt freely, and I want to be able to hunt without humans bothering me.” Now Luke was even more confused, then he figured the dog must be an alien, and a hostile one too.

“I want to hunt freely, and I want to be able to hunt without humans bothering me.” Ace tried to keep her voice level, she’d thought this dog was special but not an alien so she’d admit she was a bit surprised “I can take you to a place like that, but it will take time for me to find one suitable for you.” She looked to Luke then back at the dog in front of her. “But first, you have to let get down and come over here out of your reach or not deal.”
Ace fixed the dog with her most don’t test me gaze before continuing “Please.”

“I can take you to a place like that, but it will take time for me to find one suitable for you.”
The dog almost smiled at the thought it seemed to Luke. He watched as the beast seemed to glare at him and then smiled an almost evil smile. “So then what will you do with me while we wait then? Am I to have to pretend to be your pet while we wait?” Luke found it odd the dog asked that. It was an obvious answer, they couldn’t let it just wander around, it might get hurt or a human might take it. The easiest solution was to take it in and for the times they go outside it pretend to be a family pet.
“But first, you have to let get down and come over here out of your reach or not deal.”
Luke watched as the dog seemed to deliberate and then he stepped aside. Luke wasted no time and darted to the woman’s side and away from the big dog. He hid slightly behind her and watched as the dog sat down and watched in an amused manner. “Thank you miss. I don’t know what I did to anger the dog.” The dog glared at him and growled.

“So then what will you do with me while we wait then? Am I to have to pretend to be your pet while we wait?” Ace tried to hide the distaste in her voice “No, not a dog person.” she thought about it for a second as Luke moved over to her and stood behind her. “Thank you miss. I don’t know what I did to anger the dog.” “You’re welcome kid, and don’t call me Miss, my names Ace.”
Returning her attention to the dog “On second thought it may not take all the long to find you a suitable system to hunt in. There’s this little planet that I know of, last I checked it was uninhabited by humanoids, forests and jungles as far as the eyes can see.” she tilted her head a little still looking at him “Would that be acceptable, I have a small one way transporter that should be able to transport you to it if you like.”
"I am NOT A PROBLEM! I’m a…tactical consideration!"
Luke agreed with the woman there, he only had K-9 and that was the only dog he liked at the moment. This dog was bad. “Do all dogs talk?” It was a reasonable question to him. The dog turned an evil glare on him. “Of course they don’t boy, I am special.” Luke backed up a bit. “No you’re not, my dog talks.” The dog sat and laughed. “How quaint.” The dog’s animosity confused Luke while he thanked the woman who had saved her.
“You’re welcome kid, and don’t call me Miss, my names Ace.”
He nodded his head at her. “Alright Ace I will not call you Miss. My name is Luke Smith.” He grinned at her and watched the dog warily. The dog stared at him, unblinking, lip half curled baring ivory teeth. Luke shuddered at the thought of those teeth ripping into his flesh. He did not like that dog.
“On second thought it may not take all the long to find you a suitable system to hunt in. There’s this little planet that I know of, last I checked it was uninhabited by humanoids, forests and jungles as far as the eyes can see.”
The dog stared at the woman, intelligent eyes flicked from Luke to Ace. He tilted his head in deep thought as he considered this idea. He shook his head a bit, not to say no though more to dislodge the bugs that had settled there. Luke watched the dog anxiously.
“Would that be acceptable, I have a small one way transporter that should be able to transport you to it if you like.”
The dog nodded his head and looked at her. “Yes it is acceptable.” Luke had to suppress a sigh of relief when the dog said he accepted the deal. He looked at the woman hoping she’d send the bad dog away before he was forced to explain to his mother why he had bites on his arms.

“Yes it is acceptable.” Ace nodded a thank you and reached into her back pocket pulling out a little box with coordinates rotating on the screen, she knew she had better ways to send the dog but she figured it would be better to get him off word as soon as possible in case he changed his mind and decided to go after Luke again “Ok, now you may feel a bit of a tingle but it’s nothing to be worried about.”
She put in the coordinates and hit a button on the little machine there was a small buzzing noise and the dog started to be surrounded by little lights and started to disappear. When he was gone Ace sighed a little and relaxed some “Well then, Master Luke, do you drink soda?” odd question she knew but so many kids now a days didn’t drink sodas anymore so she thought she’d ask before she offered.
"I am NOT A PROBLEM! I’m a…tactical consideration!"
Luke watched as the dog disappeared and smiled in relief. “Thank you for saving my live miss.” He tilted his head and smiled at the question. “I do not drink it often but yes I drink soda. Why do you ask?” He mad his way over to her. “I can’t repay you for this. What was that thing? It was not a real dog that much I could tell, but it doesn’t look like a Slitheen or any other alien I’ve met.” He then looked at the woman in shock. “Say how did you know what to do with that alien? Where are you from? Are you even human?” He stared at her and suddenly had the desire to start backing up.
