The shouts of people were giving the blonde girl chills as she ran behind a tree, hanging onto her bag tightly as she sat down. Her breathing became a little heavier as she heard little girls screaming as the robots glided down the streets, but she couldn't save them. She needed to save herself.
Rachel figured that this was like another World War. The Daleks were taking over, seemingly, and there wasn't much she, or anybody else, could do about it. She slung her bag onto her back and made a run for it, her blonde hair flying out behind her.
17 years old...Rachel didn't know this, but she was one year away from becoming evil and insane...but because she didn't know, she wasn't really making the most of her life.Rachel suddenly realized the Daleks had spotted her and she broke into a faster run, ducking and diving past people, and dodging the Daleks' shots.
"EXTERMINATE!" they shouted behind her. Rachel looked back, causing her hair to tangle round her face, and she ended up tumbling down a hill. She hid behind a nearby tree, cursing under her breath as she saw her leg.
"Shit." she whispered. Blood was rushing down it, and there was a stick full of thorns stuck. It was painful, but Rachel focused, and she ,limped until she was at the deserted part of the city. Or, at least, the safe part.
The Daleks hadn't come here yet, and there were barriers and walls and stuff to keep them out. Rachel let herself in a metal door and instantly, Emily came rushing up to her, making Rachel swoop her up in a hug. Emily was a 7 year old girl who had grown very attached to Rachel while they'd been hiding out.
"Rachel! Rachel, guess what? We saw another human out there, and there are some people trying to get them in!" Emily said as Rachel set her on her feet.
"That's great, honey. Why don't you go see if Beccy wants to play?' As soon as Rachel finished speaking, Emily rushed away. Rachel limped over to a nearby chair and sat down. With a bit of difficulty she pulled up her leg, and began trying to remove the thorn-stick.
