Tosh yawned to herself as she dragged herself to her work station, holding a coffee in her hand. She finished the last bit of it and then chucked the empty cup into the bin. She sat at her workstation lazily and rubbed her eyes. Her computer beeped with a new email message, although really it just seemed like it was trying to wake her up. Glowering at her screen, she opened the email. A deep frown appeared on her features. "That's not right at all." she said to herself, then she got up. The first person she thought of was, weirdly, Ianto, to talk to about this. "Ianto!" she called out. "You here yet?"
The question of whether or not Ianto is present brought an amused smile to his lips. With a deep breath he adjusted his tie and stepped out of Jack's office. The hope he doesn't appear as disheveled as he feels has the Welshman looking disgruntled briefly. (Thank you, Jack.) The brunet approached Tosh with a soft smile. “Of course I'm here, when am I not?” The dry and playful demeanor changed into something more serious as Ianto noted the look on the brilliant woman's face. “Is something wrong?”
Tosh grinned as he approached her. Ianto was one of her best friends and initially like her brother. Her smile dropped when he asked her what was wrong and she beckoned him to follow her. "I got an email from an anonymous source. I thought you should take a look. Tosh re-opened the email on her laptop and some pictures appeared; an alien of some sort, seeming to be walking along. There were bloodied bodies behind it, and big red letters appeared on the screen. 'BE CAREFUL, TORCHWOOD. HE'S COMING FOR YOUR FRIEND.' She looked at Ianto. That isn't the worst of it. The person sent a video..." Tosh pressed play and it showed the alien destroying cities, and in one, there was a take of what looked like Gwen and Owen, walking down the street together. This made Tosh stiffen slightly at how happy they looked. She then straightened up and tried to relax.

The drop in Tosh's smile is more than enough to tell Ianto he wouldn't like whatever she had to show him. “Hm.” Although he appeared calm outwardly anyone who knew him would be able to see the clear signs of concern. It is more about posture than anything... “Do you think the IP address this was sent from may be traceable?” As the tea boy leaned in close to look for any clear clues he brushed Tosh's arm. The touch light and just enough to be comforting. “We might want to get Jack's opinion on this...”
Tosh nodded. "It may be traceable, yes, but it may take a while." she then nodded. Tosh looked at him and gave a grateful smile, before typing in something. Some text appeared 'Tracing IP address...' "Is Jack actually around? I can call him if not." she said. "Oh, and we might need some coffee. This may take a while." she said, flashing a weak smile before sitting down on her chair. "Meanwhile, I'll go through the pictures and video again and check for any clues I may have missed." she said.
"Did someone call for me?" Jack called from his office looking chipper and alert. His hair was a little messier than usual but the bright grin pulled away from the look. He smiled down at Tosh and Ianto before he realized it wasn't a friendly call that had drawn him out but a work one. He hurried down the stairs.
"Ian? Tosh? Is everything okay down here? You look worried," he said looked at the Japanese woman. He laid a gentle, warm hand on her shoulder and hoped this wouldn't be anything too trying on the poor woman he thought of like family.
Tosh looked up as Jack laid a hand on her shoulder. She looked over at Ianto before looking up at Jack again, then to the computer. "We got this email...or well, I did. It's a video, to be precise." she said calmly, before playing the video. The bloodied bodies appeared again and the big red letters. Then, of course, Owen and Gwen. Tosh didn't let her feelings show this time, or she did her best not to, but she felt a wave of annoyance. They kept on doing this...and they weren't careful...
Shrugging off the thought, Tosh looked at the tracking results. It was 50% done, but she couldn't estimate how long it would take. Like downloads, with tracking, it can go very slow for the first few minutes and finish up super fast, or the opposite. "I'm just waiting to see if I can track the IP address of the person who sent the email."
