We are a small but welcoming group of Doctor Who enthusiasts that also share a love for Roleplay! We have members of all sorts of RP styles and levels of experience, so don't be shy if you're new! We all start somewhere!
As far as plot goes, it is fairly free reign, with the occasional structured event. Storylines range from Canon to Alternate Universe tellings and anywhere in between! Imagination is your only limitation with the possibilities!

09/19/2017 Mandatory Activity Checks are now a thing of the past!!
No one enjoys doing RP posts when it feels like a chore. So we are doing away with it completely. There are still some posting requirements, but we hope this will make things feel much more relaxed. Be sure to review our rules to get all the details.

"You must have really pushed yourself then. I hear they had a little trouble stopping it at the other end of the line. No one was hurt, but they had to use both sets of breaks. They were on the short list of survivors that day, but everyone on the Trolly survived."
She was inordinately pleased when the young woman agreed to eat with her. This wasn't the sort of mystery one hunted down and scanned. Oracle was the type you wooed into information. She wasn't sure yet if she was meeting an allie for the Earth itself, or some one who simply made the best of what was set before her. Either way, someone owed this girl a bit of tea.
"Portos" she promised in return as she began to walk. Hand made sandwiches, thick on homemade bread, soups, fried finger foods, soda fountain . .a fine and sunny place. It was only a couple blocks away. "You didn't seem overly surprised by the Angels, or the various TARDIS. I would have remembered if you'd called it "bigger on the inside. How did you know?"
Oracle couldn’t help but smile a tiny bit to herself, the people on the trolly had been fine, good that was her intent.
"Portos" without thinking about it Oracle was quick to catch up with Sarah Jane, the woman seemed nice enough.
Instinctively she stopped for a moment when Sarah Jane talked about the angels and the various TARDIS’s and asked how she’d known. Sticking her hands in her pockets she shrugged and went to keep up with Sarah Jane. “I knew a guy back in the day who had one. Plus it takes more than a bunch of graveyard rejects to surprise me.” Oracle shrugged again watching Sarah Janes reaction to what she said as they walked.

They strode along together. They both walked like people who often walked. Long easy strides. For their collective height anyway, which didn't amount to much. She was guessing the girl didn't spend much time in the back of someone's car staring into a small electric device however. Oracle was present.
"You knew a guy, hu?" She said, feeling a lightness of heart. It wasn't often she came across someone who could understand. Who had the same perspective on Earth's place in the universe as she did.
Fragile. Special.
"I 'knew a guy' with a TARDIS too. The Doctor." Her statement implied question as she searched the girl's brilliant eyes for recognition.
"I 'knew a guy' with a TARDIS too. The Doctor." Oracle smiled a little before she looked at Sarah Jane and saw that the older woman was looking at her “Met him too, he’s cool…to an extent.” for a moment she let it hang before realizing that she probably should elaborate on what she meant.
“Um…by that I mean I’ve met a couple of versions of him and for the most part, all of them I’ve gotten along with. Just for some reason the one of him in the tweed with the bow tie.” she held up her hands and tried to do a pantomime of hissing cats.

There was a certain shine to Earthlings who knew the Doctor. This girl had it too. At once, she was both pleased to meet someone she knew would be interesting, would understand things about her others would not. At the same time, she just looked too young. Younger than she'd been. Younger than Rose had been. Well, he hadn't gotten her killed at any rate, but she intended to give her friend a piece of her mind next time she saw him.
When Oracle hissed, she found herself breaking into a laugh. When she caught her breath she empathized with the ginger.
"Well, yes, but as aliens go, he's pretty good."
They'd reached Portos. An old brick building with vaulted ceilings. It had been built as a bakery, and had stayed one, but now it included a very busy deli. Lines were long, but they moved forward at a slow walk, there were so many paper hatted service folks working behind the counter.
She pressed the girl to order anything she liked, twisted her arm to allow it to be her treat. Service was quick. She claimed a booth where they took their plates back. High bricked booths. Private enough to speak of time, space, and relative dimensions.
"Your parents let you travel with the Doctor?" It was a loaded question and she knew it.
Oracle smiled when Sarah Jane broke into a laugh at her pantomime of the hissing cats "Well, yes, but as aliens go, he's pretty good." she smiled in agreement as they walked.
No matter how many buildings she saw were ever she was every new experience Oracle treated as if she’d never seen anything like it. “It’s so pretty.” she said softly she loved the smells coming from the place as well as all the colors on everything.
Having picked out what she wanted which pretty much came down to a Tuna salad croissant and a Raspberry shaped cookie Oracle followed Sarah Jane to the booth and sat down across from the older woman.
Oracle started in on the tuna slowly after she sat down "Your parents let you travel with the Doctor?" without missing a beat as if to her is was a common thing “I don’t have any parents.” swallowing she bit of tuna she had in her mouth “And as in traveling with him, I’ve not so much traveled it’s more along the lines of a lot of the trouble I find, he’s been there being, well.” she paused trying to think of how to word it “The Doctor.” Oracle shrugged hoping that would explain.
There was a certain Anne of Green Gables quality to her that plucked at her heartstrings a bit. She did her best to ignore it. It helped that Oracle had a cool edge to her that made her seem every bit as capable as she appeared. So the Doctor found her. On more than one occasion. Very interesting. Other matter seemed more pressing, even with her own sandwich before her.
"Well, maybe not parents, but there must have been some one looking out for you when you were younger?" Egads, how much younger could she be? "Someone who maybe you still call sometimes now?"
She took a bite. Crusty flaky perfect on the inside, warm steaming fluff on the inside. Brie and cucumbers with garlic.
"Well, maybe not parents, but there must have been someone looking out for you when you were younger?" Oracle fidgeted a little, she found it hard to talk her past it brought up old memories that she’d rather leave buried, nor was she used to people asking her things about it.
"Someone who maybe you still call sometimes now?" she quickly locked away the nervousness it gave her about talking about the past and looked at Sarah Jane before leaning back in the booth a little tilting her head “There is a group of misfits I tend to run around with, we call ourselves Bangarang, but no, no family.” she shrugged a little picking at her food some “No way to find out anyway.”
Narrowing her brow a little Oracle leaned forward, she knew Sarah Jane had seen aliens before so she figured it wouldn’t come as a surprise to her “You’re still under the impression I’m human aren’t you?”

Apparently, it was a touchy question. She'd have to sneak up on it, now that she knew a mystery lay there. The girl's last question was tantamount to permission and she took it. It had been an act of will not to scan her before now.
I'm not threatening you. Her eyes said clearly, and she didn't bother saying it aloud. The ginger was a clever girl.
Sarah Jane gave her arm a practiced shake, to get the cuff back, and flipped open her detector watch, her dark hazel eyes darting between the read out and the girl's face to see if she objected. Then she stared longer, because she'd never seen such confusing readings in all the time she'd had this lovely little device.
She flipped it closed, her confusion clear on her face. An Alien from Earth. She didn't understand it and wondered if the thing was malfunctioning. Considering the girl's connection to the Doctor she doubted it. She had a sudden sinking feeling in her gut. Her face went cold.
"Did he hurt you? Did the Doctor do something to you?" Oh, him and his ways with young girls. She could feel her blood start to boil. Her last words were most bitter. "Did he up and leave you somewhere?"
Oracle nodded and pulled her leg up a little resting her arm on her knee as Sarah Jane scanned her with her little wrist watch thing, she’d have to remember to ask her about that later it looked fairly interesting but delicate, that thought caused Oracle to smirk a little bit she couldn’t help but think no probably not knowing her luck with electronics.
Seeing Sarah Jane was satisfied with her readings, whatever they were that her watch had shown her Oracle let her leg back down and had started to take another bite out of her sandwich when Sarah Jane asked her question.
"Did he hurt you? Did the Doctor do something to you? Did he up and leave you somewhere?" that took her by surprise, coughing a little she held up her hand for a second and shook her no. Finally swallowing “Wooooah no, nooooo The Doctor has never been anything but nice to me the few times I’ve met him. He had nothing to do with anything that happened to me or has happened.” she raised her eyebrows in a clam down gesture “I promise.”

An iron grip let go her heart at Oracles vehemence. Whatever sort of scoundrel this girl was, she wasn't lying about this. She looked a bit defensive for the Doctor. Sarah Jane let out a slow breath between pursed lips and leaned back in her chair.
"Well. Thats good." she said with enough verve that it was clear there would be a price to pay if it hadn't been 'good'.
She had a bite of sandwich, and caught her breath.
"Oracle, I can't make heads or tails out of what my detector tells me. That's never happened before. Would you be willing to flesh things out for me a bit?" She asked, ever so casually, still chewing. "You're from Earth perhaps, but as you say, I'm no longer under the impression that you're human."
"I hope you don't mind, it's a long way to the nearest repair shop for this handy gaget." She gave a little jiggle of her wrist.
"Well. That’s good." at that Oracle couldn’t help but laugh a little for some reason if any harm had come to her with The Doctor around Oracle had a feeling Sarah Jane would have boxed his ears good or something of that nature.
She started to finish up her sandwich "Oracle, I can't make heads or tails out of what my detector tells me. That's never happened before. Would you be willing to flesh things out for me a bit?" Oracle suddenly wasn’t hungry anymore "You're from Earth perhaps, but as you say, I'm no longer under the impression that you're human." she really, really didn’t want to go this route but, she had a feeling Sarah Jane wouldn’t let it go.
“Raised on Earth, yes.” she winced slightly the voices flooded her mind as if screaming in her ears, reaching up Oracle rubbed the bridge of nose trying to forcefully move them to back of her mind like she’d done so many times before. She opened her eyes and continued “From what I was told the little shuttle craft I was in crashed landed here.” Oracle shrugged hoping that would suffice for now.
Softly more to herself then out loud “Maybe this was a bad idea.”

Such a sophisticated face on such a young woman. Pain rose up and was pressed back down in a way Sarah Jane had not managed to manifest so well until she'd reached her forties. She realized she was walking on very shaky ground. Not fair, not while Oracle was eating. She looked like she could eat more. A change in subject was in order.
"Do you live around here now?
A waitress came along to interrupt and flash a menu at her.
"Lemon cream pie." She said with just enough question mark in it as she glanced at Oracle, offering for her to make some other suggestion.
"Do you live around here now?” Oracle shook her head “Not any more, no. Used to, several years ago but the place I owned, I got rid of. Felt like it caused too many connections to me.” good lord saying that out loud made Oracle sound nuts even to herself and she was the one who sold the place.
She looked up at the waitress as she flashed a menu at Sarah Jane "Lemon cream pie." she noticed Sarah Jane was looking at her as if wanting her to make some suggestion. Oracle shook her head as if to say no she was good for her to go ahead “What about you? Kids, family?”

Child Woman. Oracle was both. The remark about owning a house several years ago confused her. There was a look of a timeless traveler to her that was very intriguing.
At the young woman's question, Sarah Jane broke into an uncontained smile.
"I have a son. Luke. Fine young man. And special. Like you."
She gave a nose wrinkle and a little shake of her head to the waitress when Oracle was uninterested in the pie. For her part, Sarah Jane had a pair of pants from 35 years ago she used for calibration, and she was determined to stay fit enough for them.
This conversation was vexing her. Part of her wanted to grill the girl as she would any other no-human. The rest of her knew she'd have to be polite about it.
"So? Are you just passing through then?" Subtle as she tried to be, it was hard for her to tone the hawk out of her gaze.
