Silas grinned as he walked through the streets of London. Something he didn't do very often but hey, he couldn't just stick to other planets. Right? Besides, Earth had it's own unique charm.
He fixed the coller of his brown leather jacket before walking into a coffee shop. Ah, the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans. It was sure to pick anyone up, who needed it, or anyone who actually liked coffee.
After ordering a grande mocha latte, he took a seat by the window. Just trying to figure out his next game plan.
She'd been enjoying her little outing. She'd managed to slip out of the TARDIS after bribing Nadia not to say anything to her dad by promising to try and hunt down the missing book that was needed to complete Nadia's rather cheesy collection of romance novels. For a old War TARDIS, Tara was convinced that Nadia actually had the soul of some sweet old lady that was just a hopeless romantic. Whatever it was, Tara was just glad she knew how to get her way with Nadia.
She paid for a newspaper and gave it a quick once over. Mainly for the date and any major events she should know about. Not seeing anything particularly important, she opened the paper to the comic section. She wasn't paying much attention when the blond plopped down at a cafe table, swinging her legs absently out of habit, when her foot roughly connected with someone's shin. She immediately lowered the paper and gawked. “Oh god, I'm sorry. I didn't even realize someone was sitting here!” and she made an awkward shuffle to move to a different table.
Well, as luck would have it, that plan he was waiting for had just walked into the coffee shop. A young lady with blonde curls had apparently been too absorbed in her newspaper to have realized that she took a seat at his table. It hadn't been until she had accidently kicked his shin, (causing him to take a sharp breath,) that she actually noticed him.
Silas chuckled, and waved it off as he ignored the slight throbbing in his leg. “You don't have to apologize; it’s not the worst that’s ever happened.” He replied with a quick wink, “and I don't mind sharing the table.” He yawned, stretching his arms above him before moving his hands behind his head as he leaned back in his chair.
Looking over at her newspaper, he noted that it was from the current date. Hopefully he could use that as a possible conversation interest. “Read anything interesting in that ol’ thing?” He asked, trying to get his plan; adventure; trip; started.
Tara just blinked at him for a moment, tilting her head to the side. Did... he just flirt with her? She'd never been flirted with before. Hell, she'd never been around anyone besides her dad and N.J. before. She wasn't sure but.. That sounded like a flirt. Her cheeks colored slightly as she scrunched down behind her newspaper and gave an awkward giggle.
"Nothing too interesting." she lied, gently. She mainly needed it for the year and the recent events. She folded the paper and set it upon the table and leaned in, resting her elbows on the table and resting her chin in her palms. "So.. Who're you, then?"
