Face Claim: Aisha Dee
Name: Genesis Dahlia Knight
Alias: Gen, 'Genna'

Gender: Female
Species: Solarii
Planet of Origin: Solaria. (Born on Earth)
Occupation: Part time Waitress
Physical Description: Genesis is petite but curvaceous young woman with a creamy mocha complexion. She had thick tight ringlets of jet black curls that fall to her shoulders.. Of course if you were to try and straighten her hair (good luck with that, by the way) her hair would cascade nearly to her hips. Her eyes are her only odd feature. They are a pale golden color, like a bright amber. She has a coy smile and always seems to be up to something. She has a heavy Australian accent.
She has a rather casual sense of style; A brightly colored tank top with a pair of worn denim jeans and a pair of converse trainers. In all honesty, she just wears what's comfortable and doesn't really care much for looks. It gives her a somewhat haphazard appearance. She always has a pair of headphones either plugged into her ears or dangling from her neck, ready for use.
Personality: Genesis considers herself rather clever and always seems to have a quick comeback when someone tries to insult her or says something stupid. She doesn't mean to come across as rude, but the way she figures, if people cant handle what they dish out, they should shut their mouths. Because of this, she can't stand people who bully others. She's quick to defend a total stranger and while she's not a very physical being if comes down to a fight, Genesis figures most bullies are all talk and tend to back down when someone stands up to them.
Genesis prefers to do things her own way in her own sweet time. Her mind has always worked a little differently and she really doesn't expect people to understand that. This gives her the appearance of being aloof when in reality she generally likes being around other people. Genesis dislikes nosy people. She doesn't like answering questions about herself because it really isn't anyone's business. When people just randomly introduce themselves to her, she simply replies with a disinterested 'Good for you, love.' When people persist with questions, she likes to turn it into a game by asking questions of her own, ignoring their previously asked questions. But despite her secretive nature, she is unfailingly kind with a smile always tugging at the corner of her mouth. She enjoys the company of others so long as they dont try to turn it into a game of '20 questions about Genesis' Life'.
From a young age, due to her upbringing, Genesis has had a passion for music in all it's forms. She always has headphones in, listening to music, and scribbling endlessly in a small pocket notebook. Of course her notes mostly look like sheet music drawn onto the provided lines. She has several hundred notebooks like this filled with musical compositions that she has been coming up with since she was four years old. While her father has always said her works were simply brilliant, she has never had the courage to show them to anyone else.
History: Genesis was born April 13th to the proud parents Frederich and Javaria Knight. She was actually due the first of March. There were no complications other than Genesis was a rather large baby and had to be delivered via cesarean. Genesis grew up with music all around her. Her father was a conductor for The London Philharmonic Orchestra and her mother was a college professor who taught Musical Theory as well as gave piano lessons. Given these circumstances, it was little surprise to anyone when Genesis took an interest in music and wrote her first composition when she was four. Her parents made the joke that they should have named her Amadeus.
Genesis was given a lot of freedom at home, her parents not wanting to smother her creativity and independence. This actually proved to be a problem when it came time for Genesis to begin school. With all the rules and systematic way they did things, it made Genesis feel very smothered, as thought they were trying to snuff out her individuality by making her just another mindless drone in the education system. Yes, at five years of age, this is exactly how she thought. She pleaded her parents to withdraw her from school and let her stay at home, but her parents insisted that a proper education was important and that she needed to stay.
So, Genesis retaliated. She began speaking strictly in anagrams. When her teachers would ask her to complete an assignment, she would sweetly reply “Ifs Fops”. For those of you not wise in the ways of Anagrams, she was saying “Piss Off”. After some time, her teachers became convinced that Genesis had some form of learning disability. Her parents, being free spirits, found their daughter's antics amusing and told the teachers that if they were too stupid that they couldn't figure out the mind of a six year old child, they needed to consider resigning from their teaching positions. One teacher finally realized what Genesis was doing and realized just how bright she really was. The teacher eventually recommended Genesis be placed in a Magnet School for exceptionally bright children. Genesis excelled.
The years rolled on, her parents were extremely busy with their careers so Genesis was left to her own devices. Genesis didn't really mind, until she got older and started to feel a little ignored. But rather than bother her parents with her feelings, she simply bottled them up and used that to fuel her love of writing music. All her pieces were filled with so much raw emotion. To Genesis, it was a good outlet. Her equivalent of a diary. Something she could express herself with, but unlike a diary, no one could come snooping about and read what she had written. And if you couldn't read sheet music, her writing made even less sense.
A few months after Genesis' 13th birthday, her mother died of brain aneurysm while Genesis was at school. Everyone was a bit surprised when Genesis showed no signs of sadness or mourning. She just kept on as though nothing had changed. On the inside, Genesis was crushed, but with her independent nature, she got very good and keeping her feelings to herself. The years rolled by, much as they always had, with the exception of her mother being around. Due to accelerated curriculum, being in a Magnet School, Genesis has already achieved her A-Levels. She works part time as a waitress in a cafe and in her free time, writes musical compositions, most of which she refuses to show to anyone.
Additional Medical Information: Genesis' body is designed to withstand extreme heat. Her parents hail from a planet with three suns and the landscape was mostly desert. Her eyes are designed to function in glaringly bright light, but she is practically blind in dim light. When she gets too cold (50°F / 10°C) she gets extremely tired and goes into a hibernation state. She has no control over this.
