Ianto hated it when he got out of breath from so much running. It was those times where he wished he was young and fit and....he had no time to think of another adjective as the alien he was chasing took off again and he only had two seconds to rest before having to run after it again. He glared and cursed under his breath. He loved his job, but he did much better as tea boy. He much preferred the tea boy part. The running...he wasn't really a fan of the running. Saving the world, easy enough when you knew how. But the running. The running was the worst part. But, not being able to keep his thoughts on that for too long, the Welshman just ran faster. Just as he was about to catch up with the damn thing, however, it shot round the corner and when Ianto went round that corner, it had vanished. He huffed and leaned against a wall, breathing heavily and biting his lip at the thought of how much trouble he'd be in for losing the alien. Oh no. This wasn't good.
Ianto left the warehouse he'd been in and wondered what he should do. Lying would be no good - he was bad at lying anyway - and going back would just get him in trouble. So he decided to wander around. Just for a while. So he did. He headed down to the Bay and began to wander, keeping his distance from the Hub because he was paranoid. And he was a bit lazy to go back to work, but that wasn't something he was going to mention because usually Ianto didn't get lazy and it was a strange and new feeling for him. So Ianto wandered into a cafe, got a coffee (granted, not as good as his coffees, but he had to make do for now) and just wandered around the bay sipping it, before eventually just sitting down somewhere and wondering how long he should stay away from the Hub. It didn't occur to him that it was silly for him to be doing this.
