"Well, that all depends on where..." he points a finger. "Or when...you want to go."
He gave a grin at the idea of taking her somewhere. Even if it was a one trip only. At least this way they would both get something out of it. She'd be save, he'd have a trip through time and space. It was practically getting two things done at once. Plus, Jack would be happy about this, knowing getting his help worked. He fussed with a few things on the console, pretty much prepping the TARDIS for a jump. Or was it a skip? Or a hop? Oh well who cared! It was just getting ready to go somewhere, anywhere!
"I mean I could think of a few places here on Earth, if Earth still tickles your fancy. Otherwise there's plenty of hot or warm places in the universe. It's all up to you. So what'll it be?"
Oracle crossed her arms across her chest a little, she tried to hide the small look of disgust that flashed across her face when he said the bit about Earth, Oracle felt she’d had enough of humans and their prejudices for the time being.
Looking down for a moment she thought it over Earth had been the only planet she had ever known as home, there were small memories of her planet of origin but they where the memories of a very young child, that and she had met a few nice humans in her time. Reaching up Oracle rubbed her eye with her index finger thinking it over.
“Prove me wrong.” looking up Oracle met The Doctors eyes then felt like she should explain what she meant “Currently my outlook on humanity is, needless to say not the best right now…does that make sense?”

"Prove you wrong you say." the Doctor had to give some thought to it. It couldn't just be taking her around the earth somewhere else in the same time period, no that wouldn't do at all. It would be something just the same. He tilted his head in thought, his eyes fixated on the glowing central core in front of him. There had to be some place out there that could prove Oracle wrong. Some place that could give her faith that not all humanity was a lost cause. That there was some semblance of hope still for the ever diminishing world.
Humans were frustrating creatures at times. Some even down right rude and cruel. However, it left the rest to be just mundane and normal. Yet the Doctor was great and finding folks that were just that something extra special, even if it took a bit to weed out that special nature. Luckily the thinking he did over the matter was so fast that in real time, it would have seemed like no time at all, but in his head, it could have felt like minutes, hours even. That was how fast a time lord brain ran. It was to the point that although it seemed like no time passed at all with the companions he traveled with, things were more well thought out that his companions would honestly know.
"Well, I can think of a place or two where that is possible." he stated with a smile after he came back to reality. He finally put in what was hopefully to be proper coordinates and then looked at her with his hands on the lever that would make the TARDIS move through space and time. "You might wanna hold onto something...just sayin'."
He then pulled the lever, which made the TARDIS start up its vworping sound.
She watched The Doctor, studying his movements for a moment, moving a little closer to the controls she looked at the TARDIS controls as he looked at the console in the middle. "Penny for your thoughts Doctor?"
Sneaking a glance at the console Oracle frowned a little and couldn't help but walk around it some, she wouldn't lie, Oracle couldn't make heads or tails of what she was looking at and that slightly frustrated her some. Most human or alien tech she took to like a duck to water, assuming that is Oracle didn't accidentally fry it.
"Well, I can think of a place or two where that is possible." Blinking, Oracle stepped back from the console jerking herself out of her own thoughts, memories mostly. "Fabulous, she said quite audibly before adding more softly, more of an afterthought "I love being proven wrong."
"You might wanna hold onto something...just sayin'." Oracle jumped some she felt the ship shudder and heard the vworping start. Stepping out of the way she placed a hand lightly on the railing trying to stay out of The Doctors way.

Finally the TARDIS landed after a few moments with a resounding gong of a thud, the vworping sound of the central rotor having dissipated. The Doctor in his usual cheery way, gave Oracle a broad grin. He then looked at his instruments with even more glee. Right where they needed to be. Well of course usually that was always the case, but still it was to be noted and in this case because it was in his favor. He patted the console happy with the results and happy with his "old girl". She always took care of him when nothing else would.
"So." he turned to her with an eager expression. "Ready to go be proven wrong?"
He then walked up to her, gave a twitch of a mischievous face and walked onward to the door itself. Before he opened the door he looked over at her again and said, "Your destiny awaits..."
He then opened the door, which let light from the outside world, whatever it was, stream in. It could have for all anyone knew, been a star cluster or a planet with no oxygen or a station with bright lights. The Doctor knew though, but he was not about to kiss and tell to Orable. She'd just have to physically see it for herself. Seeing her not move right away he gave a nod of "well Allons-y!" to try and motivate. Sadly there was one thing about the Doctor that was very notorious for him in any regeneration, he was and could be an impatient man. Not that he doesn't care about the people he travels with, but he has a very hyper mind and needs to be kept entertained.
Oracle looked up for a second when the sound of a thud reverberated through the soles of her sneakers, the gong sound left a familiar echo in her soul that she couldn’t quite place right that second.
Returning her attention to The Doctor when she heard him speak to her; Oracle couldn’t help but smile when he asked her if she was ready to be proven wrong. “Doc, if you manage to change my mind, I will be in your debt.” she’d be surprised if he could but still, it was worth the trip all the same.
"Your destiny awaits..." Tilting her head a little when The Doctor asked her that Oracle smiled the tiniest bit. She had always had, a short attention span so The Doctor nodding his head in a way to motivate brought Oracles attention back to the present.
Walking over to the TARDIS door, Oracle stepped out into the light or where they were “Oh wow…it’s.” she was looking up at where they were then stopped, her eyes glowed for a second with electricity before Oracle bent double and flipped backwards as a man on a bicycle went speeding past. “heavily populated.”

The Doctor went and looked out the door, his gaze going both directions before he lightly stepped outside its frame to close the door behind him.
"Hmmm this isn't what I expected." he mused and then shrugged a bit. "Then again when is it ever..."
He continued to look around a bit more to gauge the area and even the time period they were in. Galifreyan's were good at that sort of thing. Even if their TARDISies seemed to take them off course. His especially was good at taking him places that seemed to need his help. Though in some cases he seemed to deny that fact. Even a time lord could have some short comings.
"No this isn't the temples of Azrofen at all. No this is...Galivera! I'd say early ... 2980's ...ish. Once a human colony now apparently major city. Amazing, simply amazing. Sorry it isn't exactly where I'd planned but, it gets warm ...ish here if we are in the region I think we are. Lot like California U.S.A. Welcome to the future."
“Sorry it isn't exactly where I'd planned but, it gets warm ...ish here if we are in the region I think we are. Lot like California U.S.A. Welcome to the future." Oracle shook her head and gently placed her hand on The Doctors forearm for a moment “No, it’s fine. It’s beautiful.”
”This is farther than I’ve ever been, vortex manipulator never…” it suddenly occurred to her that she no longer had her stuff on her and it caused her to pause for a second. “Shit, guess I’ll have to get another one of those somewhere.”

"Unless I convince you to maybe stick around." he grinned cheekily. "Besides, manipulators are such cheap ways of time travel. More unpredictable than the ol' girl by far."
Galivera was a bustling place. There was much they could see while there. He gave Oracle a bit of a grin. He even offered her an elbow to take if she'd like as they walked along the city. There were ground like cars, hover cars, people walking and talking with futuristic telephones. It literally was like Earth in many ways, but far flung from in others. The Doctor knew though, that there would be entertainment, food, exciting places to see. Not everything had to be running, though most of the time it was.
"Lets go see what Galivera has to offer shall we?" he offered up. His eyes glinted like a child in a candy store. He was ready to venture out, but he'd only do so if she was ready as well. After all Oracle was not his guest companion. "The place is teeming with things to do, places to be."
Potentially things to solve..., he sort of thought to himself because he always anticipated the best, but expected usually the worst to happen. If it didn't well, guess he could say he had a good day. And hell, maybe it would be a Tuesday.

”One thing you’ll learn about me Doctor, is the fact that I don’t stay anywhere long enough for people to notice me.” she let out a small laugh after he said the part about the manipulators before slipping her arm into his offered elbow. “Always the gentleman I see.” she sighed a little going back to the subject of the manipulator.
“I know, I know it’s a very inefficient way to get around but, some of us can’t jump in a blue box and run off…” she stopped for a moment realizing what she had said.
“I’m sorry, that was rude of me.” reaching up Oracle rubbed the bridge of her nose and shook her head “Sometimes my mouth runs faster than my brain processes.”
She’d admit though she was thoroughly enjoying herself, the sights alone were worth the trip “Question, however, how many years in the future is this from where we were?”

"it's alright, your not the first person to deal with a manipulator." he stated with a shrug.
"Well as I said before its about the 2980's so I'd say, about 970-80 ish about there years in the future from Earth." he mused with a tilt of his head. "It's amazing how far man has come since the early days of space travel. Humans really get out there ya know. Just keeps travelin' through the universe until they saturate a large amount of it. To be honest, i don't even know if they make it all the way to the edges of it even before the universe ends. And before you say anything, yes there really is an end, just as there was a beginning. All things have ends and beginnings. I just never think about which is which, prefer the stuff in the middle more to be honest, more exciting."
it was obvious that The Doctor really was a rambling dork who loved to hear himself talk, but as much as loved to hear himself talk he loved sharing knowledge with others. And discovering things that not even he'd seen yet. It was a big universe after all. Even a time lord could get surprised, even if it was rare as a star diamond.
"So, what would you like to see first?" The Doctor mused looking about himself at the fanfare of the area. "We could go to the opera. Let me tell you, opera's in the 30th century are absolutely out of this world. Well as long as your anywhere else but Earth. Anyway, there's that. There's also going to a game. 30th Century football, and I don't mean American style, is quite a sight with anti gravity added in. To be honest, i think its something closer to that sport in Harry Potter....Quiddich I think it was called. If that doesn't interest you, there is always cuisine. I've not tried Galliveran food, but I'm sure its amazing."
She was listening to The Doctor as he rambled with a slight smile on her face, it had become rarer lately that she was able to get off of Earth, her vortex manipulator had only been reliable for planet-wide trips when it was working lately, so this was a nice change of pace.
She stopped for a second, tilting her head Oracle looked at The Doctor confused for a second “Wait…Harry Potter was he the one with the ring or the… she closed one eye thinking about it for a second as if she was trying to remember ”or the ones with the wands?” however her stomach choose this time to make it known that food would probably be a good idea, “Well, I guess that kinda answers the question.” she said softly before shrugging.
“Food and then “Quidditch”?

"He was the one with the wands. You know, Lord Voldemort...he who must not be named. The infamous Hogwarts houses, stuff like that. The kid who lived and had that funny little scar that looked like a lightenin' bolt. Yeah that's Harry Potter. Got the books onboard the TARDIS if your interested. In multiple languages at that. The ring thing was Lord of the Rings. Got that too if interested. As well as its predecessor The Hobbit. Another good read."
He raised a brow at her stomach making the decision for them, "Anyway, food it is then! Oh I'm sure there are so many places to eat. Either you'll have to be specific to what you want or we could find a buffet type place to chow down at. I'm good with whatever. But if you have specifics your craving, I'm all ears. Choice is yours since your the guest aboard my TARDIS."
As it could be told as always he was really trying to appease to the better side of the person he traveled with. He had other companions to thank for that really. So naturally the guest or companion choosing where to go was something The Doctor took to heart. After all it was as much their adventure as it was his.
“A Buffet sounds good.” Oracle said with a small smile, to be honest, she couldn't remember the last time she ate a full meal she didn't have to steal, so a melting pot of different types of food sounded tremendously appealing.
"So tell me, Doc, how exactly does a non-Terran end up owing favors for Torchwood or really doing favors for good ol’ Jackie boy." she looked at him sideways for a moment, she knew she could probably get the answers through touch, but this way was more constructive for Oracle.
She was reaching the limits of her social skills, and they were starting to get to some crowded areas, causing her to default to her “Programming”, as it were, to get people talking, they’d tell you what you wanted to know.
