As far as plot goes, it is fairly free reign, with the occasional structured event. Storylines range from Canon to Alternate Universe tellings and anywhere in between! Imagination is your only limitation with the possibilities!

09/19/2017 Mandatory Activity Checks are now a thing of the past!!
No one enjoys doing RP posts when it feels like a chore. So we are doing away with it completely. There are still some posting requirements, but we hope this will make things feel much more relaxed. Be sure to review our rules to get all the details.

She was cold, why was she always so damned cold. Holding a cup of tea between her hands, Oracle watched the occupants of the market did their shopping. Humans, so fragile.
Being able to talk her way out of anything well, Oracle smiled to herself a little, almost anything Oracle had managed to secure her some transport off world, and now she was just biding her time till they got there.
She could have used her VM to get off the world, but it was so unpredictable she didn’t trust it for really long travels. Now, the only thing she needed was currency, pushing off the wall she was leaning on she drained her cup and tossed it into a nearby rubbish bin before starting off into the crowd.
Determined to pick a few pockets and have a bit of fun before she left this planet as far behind her as she possibly could. She would, however, miss the fireworks that Asia had with their festivals.
Looking up at the sky Oracle watched as the paper lanterns danced on their lines. Stop it Oracle, you’re getting nostalgic.

Aside from two small years, Lucy had never stopped working on the charity projects that she started as Lucy Cole. In some respects, of course, Lucy Cole was who she was to the public again. They didn't like being reminded of the small hiccup that was Harold Saxon.
And then and again, none of it happened. Not by some reckonings. There were days Lucy was sure Harriet Jones had still been prime minister.
Thoughts like that just made her headache worse.
Her father might have been dead, but Lucy's family had rallied around her. She was the baby of the family, and the marriage they'd thought was for mutual good had clearly wrought havoc on their daughter. Everyone knew she was too sweet for what they'd seen.
So she was loosely monitored for her own safety, but all it took was telling them how trapped she'd been with Harry to be allowed international visits for her charities. Finally.
Now, she lit her paper lantern and released it with the others. So many wishes, so much potential, burning up in the sky. It was familiar in a bittersweet way.

Holding her paper lantern in her hands, Oracle let a little bit of electricity go and into the paper lantern, causing it to cling to the fragile metal pieces on the inside, giving her light a little bit of a blue/whiteish glow as it floated off into the sky.
That's one thing she likes about Asia, to an extent she could use her abilities in the open and no one said anything they just took her for a demon, Oracle laughed to herself, or some of them thought she was a God, Oracle was neither.
Well, demon maybe but only in the broadest of terms, she wasn't human.
Turning, she walked back towards the crowd bumping lightly into someone one, placing her hand gently on their arm, she apologized.

The slight flicker of blue white across the way grabbed Lucy's attention. It was a familiar look, she'd seen it in her mirror from time to time. And on her own hands. Only, when she flickered it didn't carry an electric charge to anyone or anything else. It just left her feeling weak and hungry.
Lucy tilted her head slightly, wondering at what she'd witnessed.
Perhaps some wishes could be granted, she thought with a tiny smile. Answers of any sort would be helpful.
Her interest was only piqued more when someone near the source of that blue white lantern had clearly begun pickpocketing. What an admirable skill.
Slipping her hand into her pocket, Oracle deposited the goods in there and lowered her head a little she started to walk away. Oracle had a distinct feeling of being watched, making herself seem small Oracle began to walk away from the person if they followed she’d handle it if they didn’t then Oracle would just chalk it up to her being overly paranoid.
After a couple of minutes, Oracle stopped admiring a window display, the little puppets dancing around with strings, for some reason hit a nerve with Oracle, she didn’t understand why. Looking away for a second Oracle watched as the passersby walked by; What little of the universe they knew.

At first, Lucy contented herself with just watching. Getting involved with strangers that possessed unknown pows had burned her terribly before. But when she'd finally pinpointed the source of the pickpocketing staring at marionnettes, Lucy found herself drifting that way.
"They're beautiful but sad, aren't they?"
Lucy had never been all that smart, and she ignored the rational part of her mind asking her to stay far away. To just accept and move on, as she had been doing since the explosion.
When the stranger came up to where Oracle moved her eyes to look at her before turning her attention back to the marionettes "They're beautiful but sad, aren't they?" Oracle nodded a little "Very, though I've never been one for puppets."
She looked at the woman again, she looked familiar, but Oracle couldn't seem to place her, holding her hand out Oracle went to introduce herself "Oracle." they woman wasn't running away from her screaming so, she figured what the hell.

"I find myself relating to them more than humans some days," Oracle blew air out of her nose in a little bit of a laugh "Humans, can't live with them. Can't burn them from eternity....no offense." she shook the woman's hand.
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Lucy." her thoughts turned back momentarily to the marionettes "Funny thing about living puppets..." Oracle let an arch of electricity come off at here aiming it at the marionettes in the glass, in an attempt to catch them on fire. "We tend to bite back once in a while."

Lucy's expression was blank, mostly from habit, with only a slight hint of amusement glinting at the corner of her eyes.
"You're not wrong. My husband certainly tried." It was the best way she could think of to say she wasn't offended without sounding idiotic by asking why she even would be.
She watched the glass shatter, the strings and wood catching fire. Lucy wondered if they would feel as dead as she had on the Valiant.
"I was watching you dance," Lucy murmured, referring to the pickpocketing.

There was, the tiniest smiles that played across her face when Lucy stated that her husband had tried to burn humanity “…Who was your husband, maybe I’ve heard of him?" maybe she could take some pointers.
”I was watching you dance," Oracle cleared her throat before grabbing Lucy's hand and gently spinning the woman in a dance before placing her hand on her back and dipping Lucy.
All while trying to hide the fact she was looking for another mark “I could teach you if you’d like.” Oracle said with a mischievous smile

The blonde woman entertained the idea of not answering, simply dodging the question of who her husband was as easily as this woman coaxed her into actually dancing. (Not that it took much coaxing. Lucy loved rhythms, patterns, music, dance. All Oracle had to do was gently suggest with her body language, and here they were.) She smiled up to the other woman, returning to a full stand.
"He liked to call himself The Master," her tone implied that this was a great, cosmic joke, although that expression didn't fully follow through to her face. There was too much darkness wrapped up with that name and with those memories to really smile about it. "I've been told I'm a slow learner, but I make a point not to turn away friendly opportunities."
Oracle made a little bit of a face when Lucy said that her husband had liked to call himself The Master “Met a couple of them as well.” People didn’t like to use their real names as much as you would think she had noticed. But, the man's name didn’t really ring a bell, so she shrugged it off, she couldn’t pester someone about a name when she didn’t even know her own in truth.
"I've been told I'm a slow learner," Oracle frowned a little and tilted her head not completely understanding Lucys meaning “but I make a point not to turn away friendly opportunities." Smiling “Great.” She nodded towards a guy walking away from them “Watch carefully, I’ll try to go slow.”
Walking up past the guy Oracle turned a corner before doubling back, making it look like she was trying to find something in her bag Oracle almost full body checked the guy causing him to stumble a little in accost her clumsiness in Mandarin. Oracle bowed to apologize, saying that she was sorry and helping the man brush himself off, lifting his wallet and a watch off of him in the process.
Stepping to the side, she bowed again letting the man pass before straightening up and coming back over to Lucy, “Need a watch?”

The woman's face had contorted in interesting shapes; Lucy didn't particularly follow all of them. There wasn't anger there. But... confusion, perhaps.
Or perhaps that was her projecting.
Whatever it was, it seemed she would be getting a lesson. That piqued Lucy's attention quite well. She tried to follow all of Oracle's movements. The set up was easy enough. It was removing a watch more quickly than she'd ever seen.
All Lucy could do was smile in delight when Oracle returned.
"It's a beautiful piece. Maybe a little masculine for my taste," her smile, however small, was bright.
"It's a beautiful piece. Maybe a little masculine for my taste," Oracle shrugged and slipped the watch onto her wrist, looking at it and frowning a little,"Yeah, maybe you're right, it'll catch a couple of Renminbi." sliding it back off of her wrist she stuck it in one of her bags many pockets.
Oracle shrugged again and reached up scratching the back of her head "It ain't the most honest way to make a living, but it's a way to make cash." she wasn't proud of it, but she wasn't ashamed of it either.
