Rose Tyler woke in the early hours of the morning with a sore throat, and the sniffles. She rolled over to look at the clock, feeling rather miserable - even more so when she saw that it was two in the morning. She sighed, pulling her pillow over her head to try and get some more sleep.
Granted, it didn't work. When three in the morning came around, and she still hadn't fallen asleep, she sighed, and threw aside the covers, getting up and going off in search of the Doctor.
She came to his room rather quickly - something she figured was largely due to the TARDIS' help - and knocked on the door sleepily.
The Doctor was, at the time, in his room reading a book about the Thirtieth century. When the feint sound of sniffles was heard from outside his door, then a rather light knock.
He figured she had been crying about the last planet they were on. Wasn't his fault that the inhabitants there had a week long life cycle. It was just how their biometric code was create for them. So quickly preparing a rather long rant about how there was nothing he could've done about the whole thing, he opened the door.
"Rose, you do realize that there was absolutely nothing I could've done for them right?-" The Doctor had to pause suddenly, because of how Rose looked. She was a bit paler than normal, and had a bit of a runny nose. "Oh. Sick?"
His first reaction was to protest that there'd been nothing he could possibly do. Rose had known that, and it had bugged her for a while, but she supposed that was how it was with some species.
Then he figured it out, asking her if she was sick, and she nodded sleepily, bringing a hand up to rub her sore throat gingerly. "Not feelin' so good," she explained, in regards to her throat.
"Not feelin' so good," Rose explained as she gently rubbed her throat.
"Alright, first off.. How did this happen?" The Doctor asked, not entirely being sympathetic at the moment. "When did you get sick? ... wait... Is it contagious?"
It took him a moment before he realize he was doing that thing where he seems like he doesn't care. With a sigh, pointed towards himself mainly.
"Sorry, not really sure what to do here." He admitted, before an idea popped into his head. "Tea?"
