Character Image:
Name: The (Eleventh) Doctor
Age: 1103 at last mention
Gender: Male
Species: Time Lord
Planet of Origin: Gallifrey
Occupation: Time traveller, protector of the universe, wearer of cool clothes such as bowties, fezzes and stetsons.
Physical Description: Quite tall, thin (though not as thin as his previous incarnation), large chin, green eyes, long brown hair. Wears a brown tweed jacket, white shirt, either red or blue bowtie and braces, black trousers, black boots and a gold wristwatch. He sometimes wears fezzes and stetsons as well, and sometimes replaces his jacket with a dark green greatcoat.
Personality: The eleventh incarnation was highly energetic and very lively, with additional liveliness during his post-regenerative period. He was extremely brash and unafraid to show his eccentricities, appearing to act alien. He was extremely resourceful and quick thinking, able to spin things to his point of view, and could find positive outlooks in negative situations. When thinking about a problem, he blocked out all outside distractions, to the point where he told Amy "you're dying, shut up" so he could solely concentrate on working out how to save her. The eleventh incarnation had also shown a tendency to refer to Amy by her surname as he found her new nickname boring. This Doctor was not keen on hiding his emotions, usually making his anger obvious. However, unlike his previous incarnation, he wasn't very adept at handling romance and reacted awkwardly when Amy Pond and River Song kissed him. The eleventh Doctor was very selfless and willing to sacrifice himself for his friends or for the greater good. He was responsible for closing the cracks in time despite the fact that he knew he was going to end up on the wrong side of the cracks.
History: The Doctor's tenth incarnation regenerated some time after absorbing a vast amount of radiation. He returned to his TARDIS to do so and the energy release caused significant damage to the TARDIS. Slightly addled by the regeneration, the new incarnation did not immediately realize the TARDIS was on fire and about to crash. Once he did, he actually seemed to enjoy the thrill of the moment, gleefully calling out "Geronimo!" as his TARDIS plummeted to Earth.
Crash landing on Earth, the Doctor met Amelia Pond, a lonely little Scottish girl with a mysterious crack in her bedroom wall. He welcomed her to travel in the TARDIS and promised to return in five minutes, but the TARDIS' failing engines led him to accidently travel twelve years into the future. Amelia was now a young woman going by the diminutive "Amy". She was initially very bitter towards the Doctor over his absence and how her childhood encounter with him had affected her life. Nevertheless, Amy helped him to capture Prisoner Zero for the Atraxi. After that the Doctor departed for a short journey to the moon to run in his newly rebuilt TARDIS, with the intentions of returning to Amy and inviting her to join him on his travels. However, the TARDIS went of course again and he appeared at a point in time two years after the Atraxi escapade. Amy was sceptical after all her years of waiting, but the Doctor was eager for her to become his companion and managed to talk her on board. Unknown to him, the Doctor had arrived the night before her wedding.
After this, the Doctor went to many places with Amy; the Starship UK, meeting Dakeks in WWII, another encounter with River Song and the Weeping Angels, Venice in 1589, Silurians in a Welsh village, discovering the mysterious Pandorica, and sealing the cracks in the universe. Amy's fiancé Rory became part of the TARDIS crew, and the three of them went to America in 1969, a pirate ship, an asteroid outside the universe, and fought Gangers in the near-future. But their most recent adventure was the most explosive one yet.
The Doctor spent a month's worth of time collecting on old debts owed to him by various species, putting together an army to rescue Amy and her new born baby. After masquerading as a Headless monk to cause chaos amongst them and the Church, the Doctor won the battle without bloodshed in under 4 minutes. However, this ended up being a trap set by Madame Kovarian, who escaped with the real Melody after dissolving the Ganger she left in place of her. It was then River Song appeared, angering the Doctor as a future version of herself had not come when she was asked to help. Despite his anger, the Doctor calmed down after River revealed herself to be adult Melody Pond and that they have/will have a romantic relationship. His hope renewed, the Doctor had an idea where baby Melody is and left to find and save her from Kovarian while adult River returns his friends to their proper times.
Unfortunately, the Doctor couldn't find baby Melody, and was called back to Earth by Amy and River. Then they then travelled (and crash-landed) to Berlin in 1938 when the Ponds' friend, Mels, shot the TARDIS. They met Hitler, who shot Mels, who then regenerated into the River Song the Eleventh Doctor knew. Amy had named her daughter after her daughter. But this River had been trained to kill the Doctor, and she poisoned him. It was only when it was revealed to Melody that she was the 'River' the Doctor kept mentioning that she used her remaining regenerations to bring him back to life. While the Doctor and the Ponds went back to their travels, River spent time learning archeology and learning more about the Doctor.
The Eleventh Doctor and his companions went to many more places, including a boy's bedroom where the monsters he imagined he saw were real, the planet Apalapuchia where they met an older Amy, and a spaceship made to look like an Earth hotel where people's worst fears hid in the rooms. After that adventure, the Doctor left Amy and Rory back home and left them, knowing that he was about to die. 200 years or so later he met up with his old friend Craig for one last adventure and defeated the Cybermen. Then the Doctor travelled to Lake Silencio, Utah, where he would face his death. Before that he spent time learning about the Silence with aid from (the head of) Dorium in order to understand why he had to die.
The day with the astronaut by the lake came, and the astronaut was River Song. The Doctor was ready to die, but then River refused to kill him, changing a fixed point in time. This resulted in a warped reality being created where different periods of time, past, present and future, existed at the same time, and this world was always stuck in the time of 5.02pm, the time of the Doctor's death. The Doctor himself was a prisoner of the great Roman Emperor Winston Churchill, until he was found by Amy Pond, Rory Williams and River Song. They were head of the force fighting the Silence and had taken Madame Kovarian and many Silents captive. When the Doctor arrived the Silents broke free to kill the Doctor, and Amy killed Kovarian. The Doctor managed to restore the universe back to normal by marrying River, in which they kissed, which changed the universe back.
And so the astronaut at the lake killed the Doctor. Or so it seemed. In their shotgun wedding, the Doctor revealed to River that the Doctor that was with them was the Teselecta, the shape-shifting robot they met in Berlin, and that he was inside it. It was the Teselecta that was killed at the lake, while the Doctor hid, making the universe think he was dead while keeping time normal. Now he's still travelling on his own, and River has revealed to her parents that he's still alive.

Role Play Sample: "No, no, no! Don't do that!" The Doctor slammed his hands down on the TARDIS console, which resulted in more sparks flying from the console. She was spinning out of control, something she seemed to be doing frequently as of late. A little too frequently if you asked the Doctor. "Look, it's not my fault if you're moody," he grumbled, which resulted in his ship rocking again and making him fall on the ground. "Alright, alright! At least land us somewhere nice this time." He got back up and worked furiously at the controls, trying to control the blue box. Eventually, she settled down with a large THUD. The Doctor was once again knocked to the ground. "Right...let's see where you've landed me this time." Taking his greatcoat off the railings and flinging it on, he tore open the TARDIS doors and stepped outside.
The first thing he noticed was the frizzy blond hair, and he grinned. "Hello sweetie."
