Armand smirked coldly as he heard the other man shuffle and trip. He clamly placed his booted foot to the center of The Nomad's chest and held him down.
"Tsk tsk.. Are you really so prepared to die for the American? Your sense of nationalist pride is admirable, if not a bit amusing." he replied with a scoff. He reached into his pockets to produce a single match, he beant down over The Nomad and scraped the match against the man's jaw to ignite it and offer some illumination to the room. It turned out, that Leo had tripped over a stack of small logs for the fireplace. There was a blood stain on the mantle where he had hit his head.
"Oh, well that certainly must have been painful." he mocked coldly, taking the match to light a candelabra that was set upon the mantle to offer some light. With his boot still firmly placed in the center of Leo's chest, Armand shook his head to send the long flowing blond hair over his shoulders and took his rapier blade to trail the cold steel against the man's jaw and throat.
"Normally, You would have been dead by now. But I think we should liven things up.. I was once a skilled inquisitor. I think I would like to hear you beg for death before I kill you"
Nomad tried to sit up, his hand to the back of his head. But was back to the floor as The Reaper put a boot to his chest to hold him down. His vision was still somewhat blurred. His head felt like it was warm and wet, looking to his hand Leo saw a lot of red.
"Tsk tsk.. Are you really so prepared to die for the American? Your sense of nationalist pride is admirable, if not a bit amusing."
Leo wondered if Reaper could tell that he was in fact not a human at all, but then he did hide his own natural scent very well to blend in, "It's a little more than that I'm afraid." He felt a little slight skin burn as The Reaper ran a match along his jaw. He then lit something that had a bunch of candles on it, but it looked like one big flame thanks to his vision being blurred.
"Oh, well that certainly must have been painful." he mocked coldly.
Leo blinked a couple times and his vision fixed itself, and now could see The Reaper, watching as he pulled his blade out, "It actually does not hurt that bad.." Of course he was lying, the back of his head was still throbbing. He moved his head away from the blade as Reaper ran it along. He took a deep breath and grabbed at Reaper's ankle and shoved the man away, scrambling to his own two feet.
The moment the Time Lord grasped his ankle and shoved his foot away, The Reaper clicked his tongue in annoyance. He chuckled softly as the man clumsily scrambled to his feet.
"Oh come now.. That's not how the game is played. There are rules, you know" he mocked as he lifted the sword to block his path. "Now this can be swift and painless.. Or I can draw this out, extracting every last ounce of agony before I.. oh so mercifully.. let you die"
He tightly gripped The Nomad by the lapels of his shirt and forced him against the mantle and grinned, those long blond tendrils of hair falling lightly over pale blue eyes.
"Now.. here is how the game s played. I ask a question and you will answer. And you will answer me truthfully. I know when I am being lied to. And I promise, you will regret interfering with my target."
He suddenly took The Nomad's wrist and grappled with him, forcing the hand against the wall before producing a serrated dagger from the sheath in his waistcoat and slamming the blade into The Nomad's palm, pinning his hand to the wall.
"Now.. Question one, My Fellow Lord of Time.. Where is your TARDIS?"
"Oh come now.. That's not how the game is played. There are rules, you know" he mocked as he lifted the sword to block his path. "Now this can be swift and painless.. Or I can draw this out, extracting every last ounce of agony before I.. oh so mercifully.. let you die"
Nomad stopped himself as the blade blocked his path, "Maybe I don't like playing by the rules, you know.. Sore loser..." He Put his hands to The Reaper's wrists as the man grabbed him tightly by the collar of his shirt and pinned him to the mantle, stars shooting into his eyes as he hit his head.
"Now.. here is how the game s played. I ask a question and you will answer. And you will answer me truthfully. I know when I am being lied to. And I promise, you will regret interfering with my target."
"And as you are about to find out, I am very stubborn, you will be lucky to get me to tell you the truth or to regret sending your target away right from under your nose." Leo replied, trying to get out of The Reaper's grip, yelling out loudly as a blade was rammed into his hand. Breathing heavily as he listened to The Reaper's first Question.
"Now.. Question one, My Fellow Lord of Time.. Where is your TARDIS?"
Leo closed his eyes tightly as he tried to think up a reply to the question, he looked outside. He honestly did not know if his TARDIS was still out there.. especially if he forgot to turn the breaks on. He shook his head, "I am not sure where my TARDIS is.. if I forgot to turn the breaks on she will be either at the other side of the world or on another planet.. When she is being temperamental she will change into something that cannot be accessed."Leo replied slowly, more because of the pain and he wanted to drag this out to see if he can somehow escape from this other Time Lord.
"I am not sure where my TARDIS is.. if I forgot to turn the breaks on she will be either at the other side of the world or on another planet.. When she is being temperamental she will change into something that cannot be accessed."
Armand arched a brow at the other time lord as he prattled on. Fortunately for him, This incarnation of The Reaper was a fairly patient man. At least, when it came to trying to get something he wanted.. And that was a TARDIS that actually worked, not the crumbling mausoleum he was now saddled with. "Ah.. Well, if that is the case then you are of no further use to me."
With that, Armand wrenched the blade from the man's hand and with one fluid movement, thrust the blade squarely into his chest, feeling the cartilage of his sternum crack under the force of the blow. He smirked as he took a step back to observe the man's reactions.
"It's a pity, really. I was so looking forward to leaving this dismal timeline."
The Nomad looked through tear fogged eyes as the other Time Lord continued to speak, the pain in his hand.. it felt like it was on fire. He shook his head, “No.. I’m not anymore use to you than a donkey with a broken back.” He panted leaning his head back, “So why not end this? I’m of no use to you.”
The Time Lord yelled out in agony as the knife was wrenched from his hand, not even five seconds later he felt another pain. But it was not a limb. It was his chest as the knife penetrated his chest, at first it was he had the wind knocked out of him.. Then sudden excruciating pain. In all honesty now he was begging to be killed. As The Reaper released him, the older Time Lord stood there for a couple seconds before dropping to the floor. His hand reached to pull the blade, but it appeared to be tightly wedge in. Coughing, blood now stained his lips.
He looked up at The Reaper, “Just.. End it now. “ Was all that he could whisper to the other Time Lord. He figured that the other Time Lord would just rather stand there and watch him die instead of giving him another fatal blow, "Yeah.. scumbags like you don't get what you want.. So why not change the way you do things?"
"Yeah.. scumbags like you don't get what you want.. So why not change the way you do things?"
Icy blue eyes fixed on the other Time Lord and a soft smirk spread across his lips. “My methods, while severe, have yet to prove ineffective. You, on the other hand, Monsieur, How many regenerations have you wasted away now? I'm nearly two hundred and still in my first. Perhaps it is not my methods you should be questioning.” he mocked as he suddenly closed in on the man once more, pale fingers clutching the blade he had plunged into The Nomad's chest. With one quick jerk, he ripped the blade free, and pulled the man into an eerily comforting embrace, his lips softly trailing The Nomad's throat as he whispered.
“It is a pity we could not have met under better circumstances.” It was then a familiar scent was detected. Someone from his days in the academy. He smirked before taking that blade and stabbing Leo fiercely in the lower back. “Give The Phantom my regards... We will meet again, I am sure, Nomad.” and with that he stepped back, leaving the blade where he had stuck it. “It may be in your best interest to try to find your TARDIS now.. I imagine you'll be regenerating soon.”
And without another word, The Reaper casually brushed his long blond hair over his shoulder and left the estate, returning to the cemetery.
The Nomad winced a little, really clutching teeth. He was trying to remember how long he lasted during his first regeneration until he regenerated. But all he got was a brick wall, like that part of his past was erased some how. The Nomad tried a different route to remember but got the same result. But in all reality, the pain was distracting him from what he was trying to do. It was as though his mind was clouded, "I-I don't remember my life as my first incarnation.. Nothing at all." He watched the other Time Lord approach him once again, "All I know is that I am in my Fifth.." He gasped for some air once again, almost directly after each word he said.
He yelled out as the blade was suddenly ripped from his chest, he could feel things tearing and cutting as it was forcefully removed from his body. His hand immediately moving to his chest, in a failed attempt to keep the inevitable from happening. Just what would Maria think? How would his daughter react? The thought of their reaction broke his hearts. But his train of thought was stopped as The Reaper strangely embraced him, but he could not reply to what the other Time Lord was saying. Just to yell out as he was stabbed in the lower back. His jaw clenched tightly as a new pain ran throughout his body, but there was another problem.. he couldn't really feel his legs.
The Nomad blinked in confusion, how did this Time Lord know his wife? He then wondered if Maria had.. no she could not have! He watched, his vision blurred as the other Time Lord got up and left. Leo laid there for what felt like was forever before attempting to get to his feet, and made the long struggle back to his TARDIS. He hoped the entire way that The Reaper was not watching him.
