15. What an age to be, huh? Best age ever. Clementine tossed her blonde hair as she ran across a cobbled street, laughing and twirling. She'd just realized; she was fully qualified (well, almost) in her witch powers today, so she was officially a witch! A smile played across her lips as she flapped her hands, making a huge gust of wind knock over some chairs and umbrellas. Laughing, Clementine ran with extra speed, loving every moment of it. She breathed in.
That salty, sea smell from the harbor she was in made her desperately want to just jump in the sea. It was very rough and violent today, but Clementine was in the stage of her life where she was basically living for danger. A smile flicked across her lips once more as she clicked her fingers, making the waves get even huger than they already were, making people scream and start rushing to get out of the sea.
Clementine chuckled softly, her eyes bright green. Her eyes, now that she was older, changed color according to her mood, but their natural, happy color was bright green, just like her father's eyes. A sudden tap on her shoulder made Clementine turn around, eyebrows raised a little in question, to see who was behind her, hoping they hadn't seen any of that.
Leo watched as Rio and Magpie walked off, yeah he just got here and came across his daughter.. who was happily married and found out that they had a daughter, making him once again a happy man as he found that he was now a grandfather! Who would not be happy about that? He looked over to Magpie and Rio as they walked up some stairs to the town, smiling warmly as he watched them until they were out of view.
The Time Lord then looked over to Clementine as the child played around on the beach, being sure that he did not lose site of her for even a second. He watched with curiosity as for some strange reason as the wave got higher than what it already was, and recognized it as a power that Magpie had.
Walking over to her he gently tapped her on the shoulder, when she was turned around he got down to her level, "Hello Clementine.. I'm your grandfather." He said with a warm smile. He noticed her eyes were almost like her mothers, yeah she was adopted but Clementine looked so much like Magpie.
She recognized him instantly; her mother had described her grandfather to her and she'd seen pictures of him many times. Clementine smiled warmly. "I know who you are." she informed him. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, grandfather!" she said, and despite barely knowing him, she gave him a hug.
"I've heard so much about you!" she exclaimed when she pulled away, and her eyes were green from her being happy. "My mum speaks very highly of you, and tells me many stories." This was true; her mother was often telling her stories of her grandfather, and Clementine always enjoyed hearing them.
Because after all, who wouldn't? With an imagination like Clementine's it was impossible not to think about stories.
Clementine smiled warmly. "I know who you are." she informed him. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, grandfather!" she said, and despite barely knowing him, she gave him a hug.
Leo immediately threw his arms around his granddaughter, smiling wide, and warmly. Almost cradling her, rocking some as the Time Lord held her. He cleared his throat as he pulled away from her.

Leo smiled at the mention of that, the last time Magpie was in front of him, she was yelling at him and left using her vortex manipulator. He was glad to know that she was talking about him, but wondered just what stories she was telling though. He came to a full stand, groaning some, curse these old knees! But then again he is now 1,000 years old there was bound to be some reminders right?
"What stories does she tell you Clementine?" He asked her with curiosity. He moved to a spot and sat down on the sand, and motioned for her to sit down next to him, "I am pretty sure she is telling you stories of when I would chase your father off almost every time he came to visit.. am I right?"
Clementine sat down next to him, facing her grandfather with a smile. She then giggled softly. "Yes, she does often tell me those kind of stories, but she tells me also about your adventures in your TARDIS. Those are my favorites. i love adventures." she said, smiling, her old inner child returning despite herself.
"But why did you chase my papa away every time he went to visit you?" she asked curiously. "Tell me the story!" she grinned. "Please." she added quickly. After all, she loved stories, and she needed to be polite if she wanted to hear one. She was always polite when asking her parents to tell her a story, too.

The Nomad smiled, "I am glad you like them." He took it that Clementine's mom and dad did not take her out on adventures.. maybe when Clementine is old enough he will take her out on an adventure. One of these days he will.

Right there he wondered if Magpie gave Clementine the same talk to that he gave Magpie when she was this child's age, it was.. painfully awkward for the Time Lord to talk to Magpie about it but Maria and him were not officially together until Magpie was well into her teens and was getting ready to leave the nest. He chuckled some, "Well Clementine love.. erm the one thing you have to know about dad's is that they are very protective of their daughters.. we tend to chase boys away.. although not all of them are intentional.. we like to test to see which ones have back bones and which ones don't." He told her with a cheeky grin, "Trust me.. you will understand when you become a mother." He pointed a finger at her, "Now.. no worrying about that until you are at least twenty-five. Deal?"
Clementine nodded and smiled, then listened to what her grandfather was saying and she giggled. "Hmm, maybe. But then again, maybe not." she said, grinning cheekily. "We'll have to put that deal on hold for a while." she said with a giggle.
She turned to look at the sea, waving her hand so that the waves were about 10 foot high. She then looked at her grandfather. "What do you think? Shall we go for a swim?" she said, gesturing at the sea with a grin. It was actually very dangerous in there, and anyone who went for a swim now could actually die.

Leo raised an eyebrow, "Alright.." He waved a finger, "Don't go thinking that I will forget now."

Leo looked out at the water, ok maybe the times when he was crazy enough to do such a thing is long gone, he shook his head, "No thank you.. not with waters like that.. although there is a sheltered cove nearby that we can swim in." He told Clementine.
Clementine laughed." Are you scared Grandfather?" she asked, ever so slightly teasing. "It is dangerous out there, though, too dangerous for anybody." she said, smiling. "Even me, although I created it." she said, nodding.
Clementine suddenly felt a wave of daring. She got to her feet in a flash. "Maybe you'd like to watch me go?" And, before he could try to stop her, Clementine ran across the decks and dived into the 10-foot-high deadly waves with a splash/

The Nomad jumped to his feet, "Clementine!! Don't you dare!" But it was too late, she was in the wave, "Clementine!" He took his jacket off and jumped into the water, swimming towards where his granddaughter disappeared at. The waves were making it near impossible to find a calm area to get some air, he needed air though. Coming up he took a quick gasp before being dragged back under.
Seeing his grandchild, he swam over, grabbed her arm and dragged her back to the shore, his legs gave some when on the beach, "Do not.. ever do that again child!" He exclaimed, "No doing that.. you almost got yourself killed!" He looked at her angrily, his hands on his hips, "Do that again and you will be punished.. got it?" Making sure that he sounded angry.
Clementine giggled and swam about, but before she could swim faster away her grandfather was pulling her out. Once he set her down, she used magic to dry herself off, giggling. Then she looked down to hide her smirk. "Yes, grandfather. Sorry, grandfather." she said in a sweet tone, rolling her eyes to herself before looking up, wiping the smirk off her face.
"I was trying to have an adventure, is all." she said, making the wind play around with Nomad's hair. "Is that so, so very wrong?" she asked, her eyes wide in puppy-dog begging form. She smiled again, sweetly, trying to win him over. "Please don't be mad, grandfather."
Then she looked down to hide her smirk. "Yes, grandfather. Sorry, grandfather." she said in a sweet tone, rolling her eyes to herself before looking up, wiping the smirk off her face.
Leo looked down at her, he has seen this before with Magpie and Mark, he knew what she was up to, "Yeah.. we will see.." he said quietly, still sounding serious, "You almost got yourself killed Clementine! What would I tell your mother and your father? Answer me that Clem." He demanded, the Time Lord wanted to make her aware of what she almost did. What pain she would have caused if she did get hurt or worse.
"I was trying to have an adventure, is all." she said, making the wind play around with Nomad's hair. "Is that so, so very wrong?" she asked, her eyes wide in puppy-dog begging form. She smiled again, sweetly, trying to win him over. "Please don't be mad, grandfather."
"What? Good gracious child!" He yelled, "Do you really think the stories that your mother was telling you as fairy tales?" He looked at her with disbelief in what he heard from her, "Clem.. I watched as people and other beings die.. I lost friends.. family.. I lost my home planet.. I have even wiped out entire races and killed.. Did you honestly think I was just going to let you run off and get hurt?" He took a step towards her, making sure she was looking him in the eyes, "Do I look happy? No.. I am very upset with you Clementine."
"I'm sorry, okay? But you know, living in a family that I know isn't technically my own isn't easy!" Clementine shouted back. "and it's about time you lot started understanding that I have problems too! You guys aren't the only ones around here!"
"You, mum, dad...none of you ever ask me what I want! You never even knew about me for a long time. That made me feel REALLY special." she said, sarcasm dripping off of her tone. She then sighed deeply and lay back on the sand.

"Clementine! I adopted your mother.. I know how you feel!" He told her, "Maybe it is you that needs to get your head out of the sand and realize that everyone has problems..."
"You, mum, dad...none of you ever ask me what I want! You never even knew about me for a long time. That made me feel REALLY special." she said, sarcasm dripping off of her tone. She then sighed deeply and lay back on the sand.
"Watch your tone of voice young lady."The Time Lord was not sure of what else to say to the child at all, "Child.. I gave your mother everything she wanted when I adopted her and took her away from that orphanage.." With that he sat down, looking out at the water, trying to calm down.
Clementine's eyes turned red. "Not everyone!" she shouted, her voice turning into a deep and scary one. "You and my family are too wrapped up to notice MY problems!" the voice stayed deep and angry and booming.
"I don't care! She was lucky, and I'm lucky, but none of you listen to me properly!" and with that, Clementine jumped up and stormed away, the ground shaking with every footstep that she took. She rushed off to try and find her mother.
