"Ahh, Earth." The Countess said, smiling brightly as she stepped out of her TARDIS. She breathed in the air, and took in what people were wearing. "Right...so not the 21st Century then. Oh well!" Countess closed and locked the TARDIS behind her. Dropping her key firmly into her pocket, The Countess walked along, her black hair billowing around in her face. A smile was determinedly plastered on her face, making quite a few passers by smirk a little. This was most likely at her crazy look, but the Countess didn't care.
"Beautiful." she murmured under her breath as she saw a couple pass her, hand in hand. The woman was laughing and the man was grinning proudly. The Countess had always been fascinated by relationships. One day, when she met someone, she was going to let her name 'The Countess' go, and become Katie Doyle. Unless they got married. Then she'd be Katie HisLastName.
The Countess sighed dreamily at the thought, and she kept on walking. Taking the moment to breathe in the air once more, she looked around as she walked, studying her surroundings more carefully.
A frown appeared on the Countess' face when she heard a loud, petrified scream. Suddenly springing into action, the Time Lady fled towards the scream, her feet pounding on the ground as she picked up her speed, dodging and ducking past people to see what was going on.
Whisper had only just arrived, although, he was not entirely sure how. He'd misplaced his TARDIS.. Somehow. The memories were still a bit hazy. He adjusted the collar of his suit, realizing it was far too loose. As he looked down at his hands, he realized they were awkwardly tucked into his sleeves, like a child wearing their father's clothes. He frowned, realizing that he must have regenerated. That suit used to fit him perfectly and now he was practicably swimming in it.
With a groan he rolled of his sleeves to find a new set of hands. A rather small and delicate pair of hands with long well manicured nails. He paused as he stared at his hands, bewildered. "What is this?" And suddenly another bewildered pause. The tone that escaped from his lips was small and light and distinctly feminine. Bright blue eyes widened slightly "Oh no.. no no no! Have I... have I died? What happened? I can't remember a thing!"
He had to find a mirror. There was something wrong about this regeneration, everything felt out of place and strange. He quickened his pace until he found a reflective shop window. It would suffice as a mirror. What he saw made him gawk, a mix of confusion and horror. Those new and delicate fingers rent to touch the new face and he stared back and those wide round blue eyes.
The skin was soft and milky white and framed by gentle ringlets of dark auburn red hair that fell to his shoulders. Hands trailed down the new body. Yes, definitely different. Where there was once a firm and flat chest were now.. well, breasts. His.. no.. HER cheeks blushed a fierce crimson as the hands jerked away. "This.... isn't possible, is it?"
It was just too much for The Whisper to wrap his... er.. her mind a round. Referring to herself in the feminine form was going to take some getting used to. All she could do was let out a horrified shriek as she backed away from the reflection. This.. was going to be the most awkward day in The Whisper's life.
The Countess rounded the corner and the only thing she could pretty much see was a woman...in a suit? Standing slightly away from a shop window. Frowning as she looked around, Countess realized that nobody else seemed to be too...worried about anything, so she straightened her necklace and walked over to the woman.
"Excuse me...did you happen to scream, by any chance? I heard a sound from here and it sounded like somebody needed help. Are you okay?" she asked, finishing pretty lamely.
"And, I do hope you don't mind me asking, but....I heard you say 'died..' how can you have died if you are a human being? Plus...you're wearing a suit...sorry, I ask far too many questions. I'm the Countess, but you can call me either Countess or Katie. I like both." Countess smiled brightly.
She didn't mean to seem over excited, but there was a woman wearing a suit here, and she had said 'died'...so perhaps she was a Time Lord like the Countess herself? Oh, she did very much hope so.
She stared at her reflection, those new hands covering her mouth to refrain from crying out again. It was too drastic a change for her to wrap her mind around. "This... what?... I.." she muttered to herself, dumbfounded.
That was when she heard a concerned voice lightly chirp behind her and she spun around, in shoes that were much too big for her now petite feet. "Excuse me...did you happen to scream, by any chance? I heard a sound from here and it sounded like somebody needed help. Are you okay?"
The Whisper stared at her for a moment as if numb before shaking her head lightly trying to get a grip on herself. It was just something she was going to have to get used to now. No point in getting all wound up about it. "Oh.. No, sorry.. Just a bit of a shock is all." She replied, her round rosy cheeks flustering a bit
"And, I do hope you don't mind me asking, but....I heard you say 'died..' how can you have died if you are a human being?" Whisper cleared her through slightly but managed to keep a smile. "Well, actually I-" "Plus...you're wearing a suit"
And whisper chuckled slightly. She may have been a time lord but by Gallifreyan standards this little one was just a child. "Slow down, love.. I'm not human. I'm like you" The young time lady seemed to fluster as she continued "...sorry, I ask far too many questions. I'm the Countess, but you can call me either Countess or Katie. I like both."
"Well met, Katie.. I'm more commonly know as The Whisper.. But given out current location.. Perhaps Lysander would be more fitting... Oh.. Oh dear no... That wont do.. That's a man's name isn't it?" Her thin brows raised slightly as she pondered the predicament before offering a light smile "Lysandra! That's a nice and feminine name!"
"Like me?" Katie repeated, before breaking into a wide grin. "That's absolutely brilliant! I thought all the Galifreyans were dead...oh, this is amazing!" she said, and then she gave the woman a hug, before sheepishly pulling back. "Ah, my apologies...I got a little over-excited, since I've never met another Time Lord before." she explained, a light smile on her lips.
"Well met, Katie.. I'm more commonly know as The Whisper.. But given out current location.. Perhaps Lysander would be more fitting... Oh.. Oh dear no... That wont do.. That's a man's name isn't it? Lysandra! That's a nice and feminine name!
Countess giggled lightly. "Lysandra is a very beautiful name. I like it." she said, with a smile. Taking in the Whisper's appearance, Countess realized that she'd most likely need some clothes. There was always the wardrobe in her TARDIS, of course...
"Well, Lysandra, if you need some clothes, I will happily supply you with some, from my TARDIS wardrobe. Unless, of course, you have your own TARDIS to get clothes from. But we're attracting quite a bit of attention, I must say." the Countess spoke gently and after finishing, she looked around.
They were, indeed, attracting quite a bit of attention. This didn't usually bother the Countess, but lord knows how the humans in this time area would react to seeing a woman in a suit and another woman seemingly very hyper, or drunk in their opinion. Actually, this was normal for the Countess, though they didn't know that, turning her attention back to the Whisper, Countess awaited her decision patiently.
"TIME LORDS: EARTH. UNKNOWN DATE: BEFORE 21ST CENTURY. POWERFUL TIME LORDS." The IAC (http://chaosintime.proboards.com/thread/882/cipher-collective?page=1&scrollTo=4897) churned its information at amazing speeds. A few months ago, it would have dismissed this data as irrelevant, knowing that time-travel is beyond them. But an abandoned TARDIS managed to land near the main complex of the Cipher Collective, and was scavenged through and assimilated. Most TARDIS's would have the power to fight back, but this one didn't, possibly dying, or without the willpower to continue. Now, the Collective had access to Time-Travel, although only used in certain circumstances. The IAC sent multiple transmissions throughout the dates before the 21st Century, intent on finding these Time Lords...
