Original
Name:Andrea Jean
Age: 17
Gender:female
Species:human
Planet of Origin:Earth
Occupation: just out of school, job assistant librarian in London
Physical Description: Andrea is fairly average as far as human looks go; shoulder length blonde hair, and simple light brown eyes. She has tons of freckles; on her face, on her arms, ect. The fact that she calls her ams 'gummy worm arms' is a large indicator on her strength. She might have some leg strength, but her arms are all skinny with not much muscle. Could hardly do a pull-up to save her life.
Personality:Andrea is really varied with personalities. In school and public, she will keep to herself and her own thoughts, giving off the appearance that she is shy. But it couldn't be farther from the truth. At parties or just at home Andrea has enough energy to make even a Dalek be overwhelmed. Yep, talking a million and one miles an hour about a subject nobody knows anything about is her speciality; large big words about astrophysics and plays in football (American:soccer)
History:Andrea is a simple human of the 21st century, born and raised in Salisbury, Wiltshire, UK. The town was fairly small, but also very homey. Old, rustic looking shops selling everything from books to icecream could be found. Lonita and Adam, her parents, encouraged education as she grew up. Andrea was a good reader, and loved reading tales of fantasy and adventure and scifi. The scifi aspect, along with her mum being an engineer and her dad being a biologist, caused Andrea to take an interest in math and science around her preteen years. There were hardly any noteworthy incidents when she was young, though her mum convincing her that Santa would turn into a monster if she saw him (so that she woukdn't sneak downstairs to see her dad putting the presents in the stockings) was a highlight.
Things got wild when she was 16. Like the first alien spacecraft sighting. Wow, she went crazy ranting for weeks after that happened... though something less exciting and more terrifying than anything was the ghost shift. That day, along with the rest of the world, she was unaware of the events about to take place. She had gotten out of bed like usual. Slipped on her slippers like usual. Opened her bedroom door like usual...
The 'ghost' that walked right through her was not usual.
She took this pretty calmly at first. She had muttered a simple "oh" at first, then headed into the kitchen where her mum was eating breakfast, unaware of the ghost.
"Mum, there's a ghost in my bedroom, could you please ask him to leave?"
That's when she fainted.
As everyone got used to the ghosts, Andrea did not. Her scientific and curious mind HAD to know what was going on, and she wasn't saying it was supernatural, since she was non religious. She tried everything at the ghost shifts; she would video tape it. She would grab a beaker from her dad's lab and attempt to catch a bit of ghost inside. She even tried poking one numerous times, and sticking her tongue out. Not that it gave any response to it, anyways. Tasted like metal...
It wasn't too long till the ghosts were revealed to be cybermen. It was lucky those tin men had been carried back into the void when they did, because apparently they wanted to 'upgrade her', whatever that meant.
After that, things died down for a bit. She graduated, and decided to move to London where there might be some good job opportunities. Of course, the size of the London library attracted her, and she got a job working as an assistant at the library/bookstore. She has her own flat nearby, within walking distance.
Addition Medical Information: No tans. Ever. Andrea burns really badly, and her skin doesn't seem to get to be any other shade than moderately pale.
RP Sample:
"Thank you, and that book is due in 15 days"
Andrea handed the man the book, the Idiot's Guide to Aliens, reluctant to part with it. She winced as the yellow covered book left her hands, the paper sliding away from her grasp.
She had been reading that. Not that she was an idiot...but she had been reading that! Stupid public rights...
As soon as the stranger walked out, Andrea slumped and sighed into her arms, spinning back and forth lazily in the green spinny chair she sat on. It had been like this for a while, now. Ever since the whole spaceship incident with Big Ben, everybody had been over eager to read up on aliens and UFOs. And the cyberman invasion only made people more desperate to get their hands on the books. Andrea was the assistant librarian, so she couldn't horde books...but the alien section had practically been diminished to nothing. The section labeled 'extraterrestrial' only had a few books left in it, all of which were fantasy or graphic novel or SOME sort of fiction. The Idiot's Guide to Aliens had been the last one. And now she had nothing else to read about aliens. Unless you counted that stray Invader Zim graphic novel lying on the shelf, and she didn't. She got up and paced, frustrated. How was she supposed to know what was going on out there? You know, like in space! Stupid government, stupid lack on alien books, and stupid stranger that took the last one!
In frustration, the blonde kicked the table in front of her as hard as she could. It turned out to be not the most brilliant of ideas when she ended up hopping on her left foot, right foot smarting as she cradled it in her hands.
"Owowowowowowowow..."
She toppled over behind the desk, out of sight of the few people reading in the library at the moment that had looked up from their books to watch her display half curious, half amused.
