Elliot was walking back to his apartment from the College, it was fairly dark out. Well it was dark as it was half past nine o'clock. Even though he was only fifteen years old the young man had completed primary and secondary school and was no attending a college. He found it to be a pain in the rear to constantly tell authorities when ever he was stopped that he was a college student and regularly took some night classes. The young man pulled his messenger bag closer to him as he neared a group of people, but they were not the regular folk that he would normally see on a night like this.. One of them was wearing an old military coat that looked from the 1940's or so.. Elliot thought that perhaps the man just liked that style of clothing.
He paid no attention as to why they were out or what they were looking for. He did not even know that there was a violent species of alien out and about on the streets. Of course if there was something strange going on the streets the newspapers were not saying anything anyways. The young man just kept on walking, only stopping at a bookstore that was holding a book for him, "Yes thank you wery much." Elliot was so excited about the book that he failed to correct his accent as he spoke. But the owner seemed to not care about his accent or the fact that he could barely understand what the young man was saying. Elliot paid for the book and stepped back outside. He looked back to the door as he heard the door lock behind him before walking down the street again.
Elliot did not get that far, having rounded a corner to take a back alley that he regularly used as a shortcut to get to the apartment complex he lived at, when he heard someone following him. He glanced back to see a somewhat hunched over figure, but thought it was simply a person trying to scare him. Really it was starting to work as Elliot wondered if he should just keep walking or if he should start running. As whoever it was got closer to him, the idea of running won the debate and Elliot broke into a run, holding the bag close to his side, "It will be alright Stella.. Just feeling somezing wrong about who is behind us." He could see his little Adipose friend was scared as the young man looked down to the little alien that rode along in his bag.
He glanced back to see that there was now two more.. no three were chasing him, "Hold on Stella!" He quickly climbed up a fire escape ladder to the rooftop before using another on the other side of the roof to climb back down. Elliot sighed with relief when he did not see any of the three people nearby and slumped against the building, "Lost them.. Perfect.." The young man looked to his left to see one of them again before he was able to catch his breath. Elliot wondered if he was going to be able to run anymore. Elliot took Stella out of his bag and placed her on his shoulder as he slipped his somewhat heavy messenger bag off of his shoulder, getting ready to use it as a weapon if he needed to since it was heavy enough to do some sort of damage due to how heavy the bag was thanks to all the books inside.
The creature got closer and Elliot could really tell now that it was not a human in a costume at all, but he could not process any more information as it lunged at it. He swung his bag as hard as he could, nailing it in the head before taking off into another sprint. At least he tried to before another one got in his way, "Oh bugger.." Elliot put Stella inside his coat, into a pocket on the inside as he backed away from the second Weevil, "It's like they are hunting.. What do I do?" He asked as he watched a third one appear. Then all three took a lunge, the young man ducked down low and crawled away to get behind a dumpster that he thought could be used as a shield from them.
