It was dark, and it was cold when Oracle woke up, her first instinct was to panic mostly because she could only remember snippets of how Oracle had gotten where she was, and she could smell water, lots or water below her. Her head was killing her causing the voices in her head to scream at her like they were on loud speakers, her neck hurt in one spot, so that narrowed it down to a couple of possibilities, drugged being the most likely.
Taking a deep breath, Oracle moved her fear and the panic that was rising in her, to the back of her mind and popped her neck while she waited for her vision to clear and her eyes to adjust to the darkness.
Looking down she saw that the water thing was right, as well as rocks, ok so if she did fall if the rocks didn’t kill her, the water would. Whoever had done this did their research she couldn’t help but think as she looked up at the night sky.
Looking around Oracle could see a cage made out of some kind of bone, tied with leather. The same kind of leather that held her hands bound to the sides of the cage. Trying to run some of her body electric charge, that she had built up in her body through her skin to give her, some kind of light but found she had none. Ok, that means she’d been there for a while without moving.
Oracle tried to remember how she’d gotten there again and started getting more and more information she’d decommissioned another facility from doing the same thing to other people that they’d done to her as a kid. Fixing her eyes forward she could feel a rage raising within like she hadn’t felt in a long, long time. Softly, “Oh, They should have killed me when they had the chance” Oracle laughed some before a cough started rocking through her body violently.
Moving from side to side a little Oracle had managed to build up enough energy in her body to send a small glow from her body, it was weak, but that was all she could get at the moment till she could get out of the cage and up the rope holding it over the water. Oracle kept pulling little by little trying to force the straps to break, she may have been weak, but she would be damned if a couple of freaking leather straps were going to beat her. She huffed out a breath and let out a battle cry that she could hear echo above her. Pulling as hard as she could till she heard the popping of one of the straps. Smirking a little still using the anger she felt deep inside she started to kick a couple of the bones so she could make a hole small enough for her to get through.
Ok, maybe she’d gotten a little over zealous with making a hole in the cage. Oracle felt the cage shudder “Crap.” Welp, time to see if she could move as fast as she normally could. Making sure she had a good hold Oracle dropped down catching herself some on the jagged edges of the bone, Oracle could feel her arms shaking as she swung her arms and climbed the side as quickly as she could.
Her vision swam as she pulled herself onto the top of the cage. Feeling the cage start to drop Oracle dove for the rope grabbing it just as the cage feel, Her arms shook as she hung there for a second before starting the slow trek up the line to the opening up above.

At the top, a figure silhouetted the dark skyline, was waiting. Their shape was hard to see due to the lighting, but none the less it was there like a silent onlooker. It watched with intense eyes as the figure below clamored up towards them. It was noted that the person seemed clever enough to get themselves out, which had been a debate of theirs moments prior. Now all they'd have to do was help them up and over the ledge. Once the other person would reach the top a hand would go out for them to help pull them up and over. Once they thought they were close enough the hand extended in a gesture of hope.
"Grab my hand!" a voice as clear as possible called out, a thick accent wavering off the tone in its echo. The person was crouched down, their weight supported enough to lift the individual.
She knew her light had flickered a couple of times on her climb up the rope. Laying her forehead on the rope for a second she was tired, dog tired. She had almost said screw it and just let go when she heard it "Grab my hand!" Oracle jerked her head up and saw the hand and almost cried.
She wasn’t one to look a gift horse in the mouth straight off the bat, so she reached up and grabbed ahold of the stranger's hand and let them help her over the edge of the hole. Collapsing on the ground when she came over the side.
Rolling onto her back, Oracle held up a finger her smartass shining through “Ok, but I have one request before you try to finish what they started. Let me, let me lay here for a second so I can get strength back, so it’s a fair fight yeah?”

The figure looked at her closely with concern, amused and saddened at the same time by her words. Whoever, had done this to her, they were really nasty people. in the strangers thought's they had almost forgotten the fact that humans could be just as cruel as any other specie. The fact that they protected Earth often clouded judgement sometimes on such. However, this was one clear wake up call on the matter. There was no struggle though for the girl, no fight implied. She was allowed the moment to breathe and get her bearings. The figure had gone from the crouching position to a more sitting one with knees bent and pointed to the air, an arm draped over the tops in a laze while visually tracking her every movement to see if she was alright. By all means their first role in life wasn't to be a physician, but the training was there, and they could always note anything that could be wrong. Luckily for her they couldn't see anything outright wrong with her.
"It's alright, I'm not here to harm you. I'm here to help." he stated not as out of breath as she had seemed to be. "Honestly I'l like to say my timing was pretty spot on in fact. Aside from that cage almost dropping out from underneath you."
He gave her a little smile, "I'm the Doctor by the way."
The man had a hunch that it was coming, that comment, the one that was always given when he'd give his title slash name. To be honest as more and more time has gone by, he's actually wondered if he should just change it to what people comment with out of smart assery. Nah, he liked being just The Doctor, maybe someday he'll change his mind, but not right now.
"What's your's?" he didn't want to go saying that he already knew just from what he had been given by the organizations he paired up with from time to time, but he had been owed a few favors and he had owed a few himself so this was a good compromise to both venues, his and the ones he helped.
"It's alright, I'm not here to harm you. I'm here to help." Oracle couldn’t help but laugh a little causing her body be racked in a slight coughing fit, heh she’d heard that before.
Sitting up slowly Oracle looked over the hole and looked over the side, she hadn’t taken into context how deep it had been, softly. “Mirror mirror, on the wall, who’s the one responsible for the fall?”
"I'm the Doctor by the way." Oracle moved back till she was sitting and facing him crossing her legs but still ready to bolt at a moments notice, not trusting him enough to take her eyes completely off of him, tilting her head while she watched him "What's your's?" Oracle blinked her eyes pulling herself out of her own thoughts.
“They called me Oracle, so that, I guess is my name.” Oracle shrugged”That’s what I go anyway…A Doctor of what?”

"Just...the Doctor." he stated. "No of whats. Well there could be of whats, but not in this case. Like you, I'm typically called Doctor."
She hadn't gone with the typical comment. Well that was...different. Sort of refreshing really. Though he supposed he shouldn't get his hopes up to high to be honest, she could still go with the age old "Doctor who?" question. Everyone normally did, but then again this girl wasn't everybody, this girl was just her. A part of him wanted to get her as quickly away from this place as possible and back to his TARDIS just long enough to get her somewhere safer.
"I don't exactly know the group that did this to you, but from what I was told by some close friends of mine, they don't seem very friendly towards people who are different than themselves." he stated flatly. UNIT and Torchwood worked everywhere, but they weren't like this, in fact it was those particular organizations that told him about this delicate situation. Granted most of those org's worked in the UK, but on occasion they had stuff for places in America. It wasn't like he was deadlocked just to the British isles. In fact him being him is what made him more formidable to those org's because of the fact he could jot from one place to another in a hairs breathe. If it wasn't for the TARDIS he'd be a demi useless time lord really.
"Speaking of unfriendlies, we should probably get as quickly away from this place as possible before they decide to return and potentially take both of us, you because well they know you and me because I helped you. If I didn't know any better they tried to kill you by putting you in that thing. Shame on them. Honestly they should be lucky if they don't show up while we are here, because I think I'd have a few choice words with them."
Oracle tilted her head a little while she listened to The Doctor "Yes, humans do tend to hate and fear what they don't understand." She looked down for a second picking up a small twig and running her thumb over it. She'd meet, a few humans that didn't find out that she wasn't like them, Oracle snapped the twig in half stopping her thought process in its tracks when she heard The Doctor speak.
Suddenly her body reminded her where she had been. Standing up slowly "Choice words would be the last thing I would give them I think." a spark or electricity arched off Oracle for a second, weak but could still be deadly under the right circumstances.

The Doctor arched a brow at her ability to make electricity crawl on her body. He didn't know what she was outright, but it intrigued him none the less. He dared not touch her however, for obvious reasons. The idea of potential electrocution did not bode well in his mind. He could agree less about the fear thing with humans, but he learned many things about them since traveling with them over the regeneration's. Some had the spark, the spark to open their minds to the strange and nearly impossible. It's what drew him to them. Could humans be bad, yes, but what specie couldn't. It was the small few he looked more to that were worthy. He figured that if he focused too much on the bad, he'd find himself damned and alone for the rest of existence.
"Yes," he began. "Humans can be quite fickle things sometimes. But, not all of them are like that. In fact I have known quite a few that aren't, traveled with them even. To be honest if it wasn't for a human I trusted whole heartedly, I wouldn't have been able to save you from a near death experience."
He looked around the surroundings, making sure there wasn't anyone coming still, "But I can understand your feelings about the people who put you in this position."
The Doctor gestured for her to follow him, giving her a look of "I promise it'll be safe now" sort of look as he looked back at her to follow.
Wrapping her arms around herself a little Oracle looked off to the side, into the distances as he walked off and gestured for her to follow him, she could bail on him, that was easy enough but her curiosity was indeed peaked.
"I promise it'll be safe now" Frowning, Oracle took a deep breath in through her nose then huffed it out through her nose "Yeah, that's what they always say." following after him moving up next to him "So this human you trust who told you about me, who is it?"

"His name is Jack Harkness." the Doctor stated without a beat. "He works for Torchwood. The man's always owing me favors so when he needs me in return I try and give it."
He made his way to the TARDIS. Home, his little oasis in a sea of madness. Well it wasn't so little on the inside. But that was beside the point. It was functional on the outside. As soon as they reached the blue box, which hadn't actually been that far for convenience sake, he turned to her with a small smile, "Come on in."
He open the TARDIS door and it swung inward. That was always strange quirk to the TARDIS. It's doors never did what they traditionally were meant to do, open outward like its sign stated it should. He moved inside and made his way up to the console. He check a few things, and then turn around to see if she was coming, his posture leaned against the console as he waited.
Softly “Well, seems Jackie boy has a few secrets then.” she had had a few run-ins with Torchwood over the years, but for the most part, as with any “government” organization, Oracle had tried to keep well away from them, unless she was trying to destroy it, she hadn’t known he knew that much about her. Guess she was going to have to change that.
She watched as The Doctor pushed on the doors and started to say something about the door saying pull to open not push but stopped when they swung inward, “Hmm, ok then.”
Oracle, stood at the entrance of the TARDIS, stepping in for a second, before backing back out as if testing something. Finally fully stepping inside The TARDIS Oracle looked up at The Doctor a questioning look on her face “How….how do you stabilize it?”

"Stabilize what?" he raised a brow. He had a feeling it had to do something with the TARDIS, but he couldn't tell what it was she exactly was talking about. He tried to offer an answer, assuming what he thought into words, "The TARDIS? Dimensional Dams of course. It's like a ship, it can land anywhere I put it."
It amused him she didn't say the typical "It's bigger on the inside!" deal that most 20th and 21st century humans did when confronted with the odd box. He was self satisfied with the TARDIS, always proud of her construction and oddly fond of its very blue policy exterior. I mean if the TARDIS were a person, it would be no different than how he enjoyed the company of lady companions.
"So what do you think?" he quirked his head to the side a bit as he continued to rest against the control panel, one leg clearly now lightly rested over the other.
Doing a little circle as she walked up the walkway towards the console, Oracle was impressed she would admit that much "So what do you think?""Hmm?" she played back in her head what The Doctor had said.
"It's. It's..." she snapped her fingers together a little trying to find the word "Awesome isn't the proper word but it's the only one I can think of."
It was the first time in a while Oracle visually relaxed "No, that really is the perfect word."

The Doctor smiled. Awesome couldn't really cover the TARDIS as a whole, but it would do. he always liked people being impressed by his space time machine. After all it was like flaunting ones girlfriend and how proud they are of them. He was proud of his TARDIS through and through, even if it did get him into pickles sometimes. The situations he always got himself into was always quite entertaining. It sure kept him busy.
"Where would you like to go?" he mused. He could take her anywhere she'd like. Any time she'd like. It didn't matter. They could be there and back to where they started in a jiffy. No time lost really. Well except maybe a week or two. Or even a month or two, depending on if the TARDIS was acting up or not.
"We can go anywhere." he continued. "Anywhere you'd like to. You could go home, wherever that might be. Or you could go visit someplace you've always dreamed of. Or I could just drop you off somewhere so you can be on your merry way. It's all up to you. Just say the words, and I'll take you there."
"Where would you like to go?" Oracle opened her mouth to say something smart but stopped when he said about him being able to take her home "I don't have a home, earth is... she stopped for a second and frowned a tiny bit "..was, the closest thing I've ever had to one." Oracle shrugged and leaned against a railing.
Reaching up she scratched the side of her head a little bit "Probably laying low for a while is a good idea, do you have any idea of someplace warm? I think I've had enough of cold places for a lifetime."
