Physical Description: In both his regeneration, Alex is tall and thin with shaggy brown hair that falls in a medium length to just below his chin, his bangs curling against his forehead and framing wide bright eyes. His facial features only change slightly, but his eyes change from a pale blue to a vivid green.
Personality:
History: Alex Campbell is this son of Susan Foreman-Campbell and the Great Grandson of The Doctor. Alex was raised blissfully unaware of the latter fact. In his younger years, his mother felt it best that he didn't know of his alien heritage. Alex was attending college in Bristol during the 2190's, and it was a dark age of alien xenophobia. Susan led her son to believe he was human to protect both him and herself.
But that all changed when he met The Doctor.
The world was in a state of unrest and Susan took it upon herself to try and contact alien life to get help. But it was not the help she, or the world were expecting, And true to form, The Doctor had to swoop in to fix his grand daughter's mess.
After the whole ordeal, Alex learned about his genetics and.. Well to put quite plainly, he was a bit put off. The Doctor tried to invite Alex and Susan to travel with him in The TARDIS. Alex refused, miffed that The Doctor and Susan seemed to only want to try and pack him off to Gallifrey to attend academy. He angrily stormed out of the TARDIS. But the whole experience changed Alex. His studies were originally in Business, but he changed his major to Ancient Architecture.
The second time Alex and his mother met with The Doctor it was with one of his companions, Lucie Miller for a Christmas get together. It was mean't to be a quite, stress free gathering but, as Alex learned, Nothing concerning The Doctor ever goes according to plan. During the 'festivities', The Doctor analyzed Alex's DNA and was dismayed to learn that Alex was only 7% Gallifreyan. His Great Grandson was just.. too human.
But despite this, The Doctor insisted that once Alex had a 'proper' education, it was his intention to leave the TARDIS to him. Again, Alex turned The Doctor down. He explained that his heart, his home... was back on Earth. When Lucie decided, she too, wanted to go home, she left with Alex and they two of them went on a grand tour of Europe as close friends.
But the calm was not to last. The Daleks made a second attempt at an invasion and Alex and Lucie were right there on the front lines trying to held them off. It was the third time that Alex would meet The Doctor. It was also when Alex dies saving The Doctor and his mother, Susan. Alex should have died that day when he was gunned down by Daleks, but something happened....
Something in Alex awoke, the small fraction of his Gallifreyan DNA sparked into a regenerative cycle, saving Alex. But the process changed him in more ways than one. On the ourside, he hand't changed all that much, his facial features shifting to a more angular face. His eyes, however, became a soft mossy green.
Years later, Elsewhere in the universe, his mother Susan ws forced to regenerate for the first time when The Daleks obliterated her time line. And because his time line was directly intertwined with hers, his was also eradicated.
As a result, Alex can no longer remember a large majority of his past. Alternate realities bleed through and he doesn't what is real or not anymore. In one reality, he never existed at all, since his parents could not have children and adopted instead. In another reality, Aled grew up with his father, David, until he was nearly seven when David was killed during The first Dalek invasion. And then the reality where his father was killed by The Master while his mother, Susan, was pregnant and unaware of her condition.
Alex is a ticking time bomb, trying to wrap his head around what he is and why he's still alive.. And he is angry because he doesn't understand why his mother and The Doctor never came back for him...
So now.. he wanders.
Addition Medical Information: Gallifreyan genes constituted only 7% of his genome. Possesses only a single heart. His ability to regenerate is exceedingly unlikely. The fact that he was able to do so is considered a fluke and is highly unlikely to happen again. Hears voices, plagued by migraines, has a constant feeling of vertigo, and is prone to violent outbursts
RP Example: He didn't want help. He didn't need help. Didn't need anyone's help. And certainly not The Doctor's. Bastard had left him to die with those Daleks. Why was he trying to help him now? He just wanted to be left alone now.
“Piss off! I don't need you!” he snarled, green eyes narrowing on The Doctor. His eyes frantically darted about his apartment. It was in shambles. Tables and chairs over turned, mirrors shattered, knife slashes and burns in the walls. It looked like something from a horror flick, but it was where Alex felt the most at ease. And now The Doctor was invading.
“Alex, I'm only trying to help you.”
Alex glared at The Doctor warily like a wounded animal that had been backed into a corner, his eyes narrowing. “It's a bit late for that, Grandad. I'm fucked and it's your fault!” he spat at him. The Doctor gave a long suffering sigh as he tied to take a slow and gentle step forward, hands hands raised in a show that he was no threat.
“Alex come on, don't do this. I can help you. Don't you want the voices to stop?”
“Stay away from me! Who are you?? Why are you doing this! Get out, get out, get out!!!” he howled as he fell to his knees clutching his head. The Doctor tried to seize his opportunity to close in and grab Alex, but before he could even twitch the first muscle to take that step, something was snatched from his pocket and flicked open. A switch blade. Alex held it against his throat, his eyes wide but challenging, a smirk teasing across his lips.
“Alex, no.. Come on don't be stupid, put the knife down. You and I both know you don't want to do this.”
“Don't I tho? I could make it all stop. The voices, the headaches.. The... the... I just want it to stop. You going to fix me, Doctor? Fix me like you fixed mum?”
“How did yo-..?”
“You killed her.. I'm not an idiot.. I know what you did.. You and Ace.. Well I'll save you the trouble.” and Alex began pressing the blade into his throat, a thin bead of blood trailing down his neck. His eyes wavered in their resolution and tears rolled from his eyes. “I... I just want it to stop.. Please.”
“There are other ways, Alex.. Killing yourself isn't solving the problem. You're only running from it. Take my hand, Alex. Please.. I lost you once, I can't do it again.”
“Think I give a toss what you can and can't handle? I wont let you do what you did to Mum.... Mum..” he said more quietly.. “Where is Mum?... I.. I need mum.” and the knife dropped from his hand and clattered to the ground... and then he collapsed, falling against The Doctor, out cold.
“...... I will fix this... some how, Alex.”
