Kitty had no idea what she was doing. This wasn’t exactly an adventure, annoyingly enough. Still, circuses were always fun. That was a bonus. Still, though. Kitty wandered over to where the show was going to be, and her eyes moved up and down the rows, trying to select a good seat. Finally, she got one in the row behind the front. She didn’t trust front row seats; they were far too close to the stage for her liking. Even if the second row was almost the same, there was just that little shift in distance that made Kitty comfortable. She was early, and she knew that, but it was nice to get a good seat, and now nobody could make her move. A triumphant smirk found its way onto her lips, for some reason. She wasn’t sure why that, of all the things, made her feel triumphant, but it did. So, shrugging it off, she patiently waited for the show to start. She could feel excitement running through her as, very slowly, people started piling in and sitting in different seats. Kitty was delighted when she discovered it was a very short five year old sitting in front of her, so she could see perfectly.
Her eyes moved around as people came in, chattering and giggling and just in general trying to guess what was going to happen in the circus show thing. Kitty zoned herself out, since nothing interesting was happening yet, but the adrenaline and excitement running through her wasn’t going away…and oh, she loved it. She loved it so very much. She bit her lip. What if they wanted volunteers or something? She’d have to try to sink down a little bit in her seat, but at the same time not look too scared. She knew they always picked out the scared ones (which was, frankly, rather annoying, but she knew deep down they had good logic. They were trying to make people more confident) and, although Kitty wasn’t exactly scared, she didn’t fancy being on stage in front of everyone. The idea itself made her a bit nervous, but (miraculously so) she hid it behind a masked face of excitement. Well, not exactly masked since she genuinely, truly was excited, but still. As Kitty zoned out, she had a brief daydream of circus people walking on stilts and tightropes and jumping through a ring of fire.
She remembered once she’d heard a rumor that this circus was alien, but a lot of people didn’t believe it. Kitty’s eyes had opened to many things since she’d been adopted by a family of Time Lords. Well, her adopted father was half and half, but still. She wouldn’t push the alien thought away entirely, but she wasn’t exactly sure either. She hadn’t wanted to listen to too much chatter about the circus in case people totally ruined the experience for her, and that she really, really hated. Honestly, she couldn’t stand when other people ruined the show for people who hadn’t seen it yet. It was annoying and kinda disappointing since it didn’t seem as interesting when people saw it for real. Kitty got comfortable in her seat and smiled; she was definitely looking forward to this. She knew people rated this circus thing very well, but the question was, would she herself like it? Or hate it…
