Physical Description: Let's start with Elysia's favorite feature; her eyes. She loves the color of her eyes; hazel. While some people might see that as boring, Elysia loves her eye color. She loves her hair, too, although sometimes it can annoy her. It's...very curly. Like...extremely wildly curly. It's a mixture between dark brown and light brown and usually Elysia just leaves it down. It's so much easier that way. Clothes wise, Elysia is very...careful and yet casual at the same time. She likes to look nice, but sometimes when she's lazy she'll just throw something on. She also likes hats...hats are cool, in her opinion. Elysia always has a specific backpack with her, merely because she adores it and she has a thing about taking a bag with her everywhere...just in case.
Personality:
Cheeky(Sassy)/Sarcastic: Now this is another huge trait of hers. Even if you're not being rude to her, sometimes she can be rather sassy and cheeky, and when she thinks something is obvious, her sarcasm comes creeping out. Most of the time she can't help it, but still. And when you get into an argument with her, 9.5 times out of 10, she seems to have way too many things to say. If you upset or argue or insult someone she cares about, her sass will come out and her insults will too. Which brings us onto her next trait...
Has a temper/can be mean/insulting: This isn't always on purpose, but when someone disrespects her or anyone she loves, even if there's a good reason, you can be sure that she'll become snappy and start insulting you. She can be very mean when it comes to that, but most of the time she can contain herself. Still, you'd better pray for that unlucky person who gets on her bad side, since her temper can be very ferocious if you push her too far.
Friendly/protective: Most of the time, this is Ely's main trait. She's friendly towards anyone and she loves chatting with people, getting to know them, making friends, blahblahblah. Even if she's only been talking to someone for 10 minutes (which must mean she likes you), she'll defend them against anyone who upsets them...she's protective like that. [/ul]
History: Elysia is a genie, and she's the daughter to Halil 'Twitch' Khalid and David Callahan. She had a rather different upbringing to some people. Perhaps it was the fact that she was a genie, she couldn't be sure. But there was a plus; her mother was more...well, she was more willing to let Elysia grow up freely...okay, sort of. Unlike most mothers, she didn't force a particular color of clothes or whatever on Ely, and David let her choose for herself what she wanted. It was obvious to Ely that David was the more laid back of her parents, where as Twitch was rather protective, understandably of course. And while David could be protective too...she was still the more laid back parent, but Ely had no problems with this at all.
Some of Ely's first memories after that are that her grandparents didn't really want anything to do with her, and she later found out it was because of how young David had her. Elysia wasn't exactly...bothered by this because she didn't know what she was missing out on, but still. After a while (Elysia can't exactly remember how long) her granddad, David's father, started having more to do with her. Sure, he still disapproved (as she found out later), but he was rather more...sensitive than David's mom. As Ely grew up, he took her out to go see movies and go play sports and stuff along those lines. She sometimes went shopping with him, too, but that was usually something Elysia did on her own. She loved shopping, and she still does. She thinks clothes and shoes and jewelery are awesome.
Another memory of Ely's from when she was younger is that the Jinn Council (she'd been told about this; her father was a Jinn and so on) showed rather a lot of negativity towards her because they didn't like genies. However, the Head of the Council, Iblîs, seemed to be okay with her. Ely's pretty sure that was a good thing.
She first found her Vortex Manipulator when she was 10 years old, but she wasn't sure what to do with it exactly, so she just kept it to herself. It was when she was 13 that she figured out how it worked and what it did. It was the V.M that started off her proper adventures, and Elysia loved it, and loved the fact that she could be home in time for tea. She never really told her parents about the V.M since she didn't know how they'd react to it.
Elysia first discovered her shapeshifting ability at the age of 7. Even to this day, she can't recall how she'd done it (although by now she's perfected it). But she was being chased by kids and they were about to corner her, and Elysia recalls wishing she was a mouse or something to get out of situations quickly and unnoticed. The next thing she knew, she had whiskers and a tail and she was tiny. Obviously, she was a mouse. She'd escaped happily and then turned back, wondering exactly how she'd done it. At first, Elysia thought it was the power of wishing, but nowadays she just assumes it was the start of her shapeshifting abilities, and that was just how she turned into an animal until she got better at controlling it. Well, in any case, she loved it. She figured out after a while that her eyes and her fur stay the same color when she turns into an animal, and that any scars and/or tattoos she may have transfer over, but Elysia doesn't really mind that. As soon as she told her parents what had happened, though, Twitch explained everything to her.
At the age of 9, Elysia went to a park with some of her friends from school, and they were all on the roundabout. It was going crazily fast and Elysia accidentally let go, causing her to fall off. She hit something and cut down the side of her head. She still has a scar from that, but she's hoping it will fade away at some point.
She also has a burn on her hand from where she spilled boiling water on it from making a cup of tea. It was when she was 15, and it's starting to fade but it'll take a little while longer. Apart from that, though, she's pretty much free from scars and such.
