The Temple of Obad-Hal-Jigeth Panjellus III Syrax Galaxy Abell 3266 Galaxy Cluster Horologium-Reticulum Supercluster AD 35,231
Quick as lightning, the Corsair hurled herself behind one of the massive sarsens that littered the grounds of the ruined temple. Without pausing, she rolled sideways behind a second stone. An instant later, power beams sliced through the first stone as if they were butter.
Really, for all the resistance the stone offered, it might as well have been butter.
"Did you get it?" she could hear a Chelatihi click, the droning grind of his subarm speech apparent even through the TARDIS translation software.
"Can't tell," responded a humanoid of some sort - one of the many Gallifreyan-like species that littered the Spiral Politic. "Think so, though."
"Make sure," a third voice rumbled. Some sort of bipedal reptilian, with six more tentacles than seemed strictly necessary in the Corsair's opinion. "Tracker says that was a Time Lord."
Oh, good, the Corsair thought, irritibly. They've got grudges.
"Time Lord?" the Chelatihi drone-clicked. "Feed the other mouth, Goorth. They're ]myths..."
The Corsair popped from behind cover and fired. The stazer bolt, set to "minimal property damage", caught the Chelatihi in the side of the head. The insectoid fell and smushed into the stone as its cells liquified. "No, not so much," she replied with a cheery wave.
Then she was diving for cover again as the others returned fire.
The Key to Time Sequence Part One Then Blow Ye Winds, Hi Ho!
Mica sneaked through the woods near the ruined temple wearing her usual adventure gear. A Lora Croft tank top with her leather jacket she borrowed from Lochlan along with her black jeans ,hiking boots, backpack and her sonic. She wondered the temple until she hearing what sounded a group of "people". She could hear footsteps and what sounded like talking. She snuck closer to where they were and hid behind a stone that layed behind to others. She peaked out from behind the stone to see a woman dressed almost pirate like doge a blast of power beams aimed at the first stone and land behind the second. She watched the beams slice through the stone like butter. 'Holy Shit they're armed' she thought to herself.
She heard Chelatihi clicks asking if they got the woman. Mica smirked and shook her head when a humanoid answers says yes. She quietly rummages throughher back pack and pulling out a gun she stole from a Sontaran. She peered unnoticeably from behind the rock and looked at the woman. She was listening too and from the looks of it she was well armed. Just then she heard what sounded like a bipedal reptilian say something about a Timelord. "Timelord" she mumbles inaudiblely and looked at the woman again. She was a Timelord? 'Lets hope she's on my side' she thinks to herself checking to see if the gun was full of ammunition. It was...good. She couldn't help but smile when she heard the Chelatihi say the "timelords were a myth". Boy would her mom have some words for them.
Just then she heard firing and looks to see the insectoid fall and ducks behing the rock again when she sees them returning fire. Mica grits her teeth and motions herself where she can get a good shot from behind the rock. She takes aim and fries a shot that hits the humaniod in the knees. "Got one" she whispers, this was turning into something fun for her. "Well I got one for you. What are you waiting for?" she says loud enough for the woman to hear.

More weapons fire. This, though, took out the human's knees. The hit was followed by a woman's voice. "Well I got one for you. What are you waiting for?"
"Oh, an ingraved invitation would be nice..." the Corsair answered, before rolling to her feet and sprinting across the courtyard while firing wildly with her stazer. She wasn't expecting to hit anything, but she wasn't planning to. Instead, she was trying to cover herself as she closed the distance.
Vaulting a fallen stone, she drew her rapier and landed before the huge reptile-humanoid-thing. "Now," she said, lunging forward, "this is nothing personal, you understand?"
The creature pulled back, drawing a large chopping bladed with each of three tentacles. The Corsair drove the point of her blade into a shoulder analogue, drawing a spurt of lavender fluid that was probably blood.
"Well," she continued, "maybe it is. You guys started this, after all."
Mica stood up from behind the rock when she saw the firing had moved and she saw the woman fighting with the Reptilian creature. Mica Walked over to the humanoid. "Want to tell me what the hell you guys were doing shooting at her?" she said pointing a gun to the humanoids head. She didnt get anything out of him due to him going into shock. She looked at the woman stab the reptilian before shooting the humanoid point blank in the head. She then turned to the woman and waited for her to finish with the Creature.
The reptilian stumbled backwards, one tentacle clutching the "shoulder" wound, the other two still holding their point-heavy blades. They were slightly like kukris, those blades, point heavy and sharp on the inside edge of a curve. In the Corsair's estimate, they were intended as much for cutting through bone as anything else.
"Really," she said, lightly dodging backwards from a skull-splitting swing, "I didn't have anything against any of you. I was here just looking to do a little looting."
There was a ringing sound as the reptilian moved in, faster than she expected. The Corsair fell back three steps, blade vibrating from the impacts of the parrys, then riposted and beat her adversary back. "Look," she said in time with the movements of her blade, "I don't really feel like killing anyone else."
Damnit. Even injured, this thing was good. So, with a sigh, the Corsair drove her blade through the center of it's chest. It looked down, hissing with pain. "Nothing vital there, Time Lord."
Lavender blood flowing from the new puncture, it beat the Corsair back again. "C'mon, fair marks," she said. "It could've been lethal." She backed up a stairway that led deeper into the complex. "So, honor satisfied and all that?"
A heavy blade lashed out, and even Time Lord reflexes weren't enough to fully escape injury. The Corsair fought for balance as orange-red blood leaked from a shallow gash in her thigh. "No, Time Lord. Honor is not satisfied."
"Right," the Corsair said, catching a good look at Mica for the first time. "Little help here?"
Mica watches the woman fight with the reptilian and watches the lavender blood drop on the ground. She stares as the kukris like blades the reptilian was wielding she had fought with those type of blades before they take a lot of skill to use due to the weight. She ponders a way to disarm the tentacles holding the swords before seeing the woman stab it in between the chest. She growled when the wound didn't work and she went back to thinking before hearing the woman say "Little help here?". Mica shook her head clear " Oh uh right sorry" she says while aiming her gun at one of the blade wielding tentacles and firing at it knocking the blade out of it "HEY REJECT OVER HERE!!" she yells at it in annoyance "didn't anyone ever tell you not to turn your back on a trigger happy hybrid?" she says while taking aim again waiting for it to take bait.
"Right," the Corsair said, catching a good look at Mica for the first time. "Little help here?"
"Oh uh right sorry," Mica replied, jumping a little as if awsakening from a trance.
"No worries," the Corsair assured her, limping back a few paces as she deflected two simultaneous slashes. "In your own time."
There was a report, and one of the heavy blades jerked and flipped out of the alien's tentacle. "HEY REJECT OVER HERE!!" she yells at it in annoyance "didn't anyone ever tell you not to turn your back on a trigger happy hybrid?"
The alien glanced left at Mica and the Corsair, deciding to seize the opportunity, lunged. Her blade, a single molecule thick on the sharpest part of the edge, speared through the creature's face between two eyes and emerged from the back of the head.
It blinked at her, snarling in pain.
"Oh, come on," the Corsair snapped in irritation as she tore the blade free. "Just how distributed are you?"
Lavender blood flowed from the stab wound in the face, making the creature's ugly grin hideous. "Four hearts and a brain distributed throughout a nervous system, Time Lord," he sneered. "Your kind isn't the only species to have redundancy."
Suddenly, one of it's free tentacles lashed around the Corsair's wrist and jerked. She stumbled forward, and a second one twisted around her throat. "Now," it snarled, "tell your mate to drop his weapon, or I will pull your head from your neck."
Mica watched the woman stab the reptilian through its head but the blasted being didn't die. She gritted her teeth in irritation 'GEEZ this thing makes cybermen easy to kill' she thought as she still kept her aim on the creature.
"Four hearts and a brain distributed throughout a nervous system, Time Lord," he sneered. "Your kind isn't the only species to have redundancy."
Mica blinked in surprise that there where others out there with more than one heart "Oh great...its a real life video-game villain" she mutters to herself. She was just about to shoot it when she watched the free tentacle wrap around the woman's wrist. "Let her go!!" she yelled as it wraps another around the woman's throat.
"Now," it snarled, "tell your mate to drop his weapon, or I will pull your head from your neck."
Mica's eye twitched violently when she was called a boy but lowered her gun none the less. She put her hand in her pocket where she kept her keys and sonic, and had her other hand still gripping the gun. "I...I'm sorry i didn't hear you right reject....what the HELL did you just call me?!" she snapped at the reptilian in a violent tone. "I know you did not just call me a boy" she added walking closer to it knowing shes playing a dangerous risk with her life and the woman's but it was the only way to distract it with her TARDIS's alarm sound on the keys. Even though she was smart that never stopped her from putting herself in danger but she knew some animal including reptiles hated sharp noises so why not try. She stood a good 5 feet away from it out of range of its tentacles, held up her keys, and pressed a button on her keys that sent a high pitched shrill sound into the air.

"Mate?" is what the Corsair wanted to say. However, thanks to the tentacle, it came out as a sort of "mahghk" sound. Respiratory bypass would keep her from strangling, but it didn't make talking any easier.
It wouldn't keep her head on her shoulders, either.
"I...I'm sorry i didn't hear you right reject...." shouted the woman who'd come to her aid. "what the HELL did you just call me?!"
"glurk." It wasn't the most informative of statements, but it was what she could manage in support.
Her backup stomped closer, leaving the Corsair wondering just what the hell was going on. "I know you did not just call me a boy."
Oooh... clever girl.
"Girl, then," the reptiloid snarled. "I don't care. Back off, or I give you his head."
"Hiiich?"
And then the sonic tool went off. The reptiloid staggered, wincing as the sound lanced through his skull. And then he screamed in pain.
Choking and tearing the now-limp tentacle from her throat with one hand, the Corsair rose. A dagger glinted in her other hand, blade dripping lavender fluid. "Last chance," she grated, voice harsh. "Gimme an excuse."
Mica stopped the sound of Dean's alarm long enough to re position her gun and walks towards Corsair. She looked at the reptile who still looked in pain. "Hmm so that's your Achilles heel....like reptiles on Earth you have a sensitivity to certain frequencies of sound....how interesting" she said as she walked over. She looked at the woman struggle free from the tentacle and wielding a dagger. "Hmm nice choice of dagger" she muttered before hearing the woman to ask the reptile for an excuse. "oh well now this will ought to be good. She looks at the Retilian again "and if you try anything stupid im pressing the button again." she says holding the control in one hand while balancing the gun with her other hand.
Still clutching the stump of his tentacle, the reptiloid looked from the Corsair to Mica and back. Then, with a buzzing sound and a sagging of his crest, he dropped the remaining blade to the ground. "I yield," he hissed.
Cautiously, the Corsair squatted and tossed each of the blades over past the sarsens. "Now," she said, rising, "mind telling me why - when we've never even met - you're trying to kill me? I take that sorta thing personal like, especially when I haven't the foggiest notion who you are."
the reptiloid buzzed again. "Don't try to play me for a fool, Time Lord," he snarled. "You're here for the same thing we are."
The Corsair glanced at Mica. "I'm just here to see the temple," she said. "How about you?"
The reptiloid laughed. "The Guardian said others would try to beat us here. Don't think I'm stupid."
The words sent a chill down the Corsair's spine. "The... Guardian?"
Mica stares cautiously as the woman moved the blades her gun still at the repiloid. She listened for the answer to the question the woman asked it. Why was this thing trying to kill the woman...obviously they never met before. Just then she heard him say that her and the woman were after what they were after. Mica cocked her eyebrow in confusion..after what? Mica jumped a bit at the woman's question of what she was doing there. "Same as you wanted to see the temple" she said slightly fast due to the surprise of the question. Just then she heard a familar name that set her gaze back to the reptiloid "did..did you just say the Gaurdians?" She asked with a slight twinge of fear. She had heard about the gardians and from what she heard about them..they were not fans of her mom and for an odd reason don't like her either. "Well so much or a peaceful adventure" she mutters in irritation.
"Well so much or a peaceful adventure," the other woman muttered. The Corsair would have agreed, if she didn't have other things on her mind.
"Guardian?" she echoed, voice hard. "Which Guardian?"
The reptilloid blinked. "Which Guardian?" he echoed. "Time Lord, you are mad. There is only one Guardian, and he revealed himself to me in power and glory."
The alien's eyes grew hard. "Our scientists have known for centuries that your War destabalized the Universe itself. The Guardian chose me to seek out that which will permit him to restore balance."
His words made dread crawl down her spine. She'd been on Gallifrey, the last time this had happened. Rod and Eye, she'd nearly been assigned the same task. Except that the White Guardian had chosen the Doctor as his agent.
"What did he send you to find?" she asked, voice soft, already knowing the answer.
"I will not..." He paused, focusing on the dagger point that now hovered just before his central eye.
"You will," the Corsair breathed, "one way or the other."
The reptilloid sighed. "Very well - I doubt it is a secret to you, although I never dreamed that even your kind would want to stop us." He glared at her past the dagger point.
"He has charged me with finding the six segments of the Key to Time."
Mica looked at the reptiloid when he said there was only one guardian. "Thats not right mom told me there was more than just one..and none of them like her" she mumbled under her breath before shuddering at the thought of time being unbalanced. She then watched the woman ask the reptiloid the question she was wanting to ask herself...what was he sent to get.She watched the reptiloid refuse and grits her teeth. She did not think that was smart for it to refuse information after trying to kill them..that just screamed 'please kill me' and she and corsair would be happy to do so but they needed the information. It was then the reptiloid said something interesting. The Key of Time. Mica looked at the reptiloid in surprise and intrigue "the key of Time? ...what's that?" She asked both the woman and reptiloid. Whatever it was it must be very important and powerful if the Guardian wanted it in their possession.
The reptilloid blinked. "Which Guardian?" he echoed. "Time Lord, you are mad. There is only one Guardian, and he revealed himself to me in power and glory."
"Thats not right," Mica mumbled. "Mom told me there was more than just one..and none of them like her"
"Six, actually," said the Corsair. "Although, some civilizations see them as six aspects of the same divine being."
The reptilloid sighed. "Very well - I doubt it is a secret to you, although I never dreamed that even your kind would want to stop us." He glared at her past the dagger point.
"He has charged me with finding the six segments of the Key to Time."
The Corsair hissed with indrawn breath, shocked beyond belief. "The Key to Time..."
"The key of Time? ...what's that?" She asked both the woman and reptiloid.
In a moment of detente, both reptilloid and Time Lord stared at Mica in shock. "You... don't know?" the Corsair asked, genuinely surprised.
"Nothing you will have!" the reptilloid shouted. "Your kind have brought enough terror to the..."
His voice trailed away as the Corsair drew her pistol. "All right, that's enough. I really don't have any grudge against you, and you answered my questions. So..."
There was an actinic flash as she shot him in the face. The reptiloid fell backwards.
"He'll wake up in... oh... a few hours. With all the worst feelings of a hangover, but alive." Squatting down, she began rummaging through his pockets. "Anyway, in answer to your question - and I'm surprised you never heard the stories - the Key to Time is... well... power. An artifact of the Grace, used by the Guardians to maintain the stability of the Universe."
She eyed a flute-like thing in one of the reptilloids pockets, then discarded it. "With it, someone could repair the damage of the Time War." She looked up at Mica. "Or remake the Universe and rule as a god. And frankly, I see no reason to trust the Guardians with power like that."
She grinned, and held out her hand. "Oh, hey... I'm the Corsair. What do I call you?"
