The Professor Application
As you can see in the link above, The Professor is a creation of The Silence from Time Lord DNA. She has it all, two hearts, regeneration cycle, sonic device and a TARDIS. She also possesses real memories from the Time War and a conditioned hatred for The Doctor. I'm open to anything plot wise, I pride myself on adaptability and depending on what we have to work with I have an entire serial worth of ideas I could present to give us something to do.
I would actually love for her to find a companion to travel with, so if anyone out there is looking for a time traveling buddy hit me up.
Story Ideas
1: Hulu, an alien plot to take over the earth disguised as an alien plot to take over the earth so you wouldn't think it was an alien plot to take over the earth. Conducted by an alien race known as the Phanophor (OC. I'm open to suggestions on a name if anyone has a better one). They're using Hulu to absorb the electrical signals of the human brain when chemicals are release to stimulate an emotional response, like sucking the power from a battery. Results vary from apathy, comatose and even death. They wish to make the human race incapable of stopping them when they get around to actually invading the planet.
2: This one is a bit more shenanigans heavy. It involves visiting an alien planet with a humanoid race who has bald heads more sensitive than a baby's, because of this they tend to wear helmets and something as innocent as a head massage could be taken to mean something more. It's mainly an exploration story, but it'd be hilarious if say... One of the people traveling with The Professor found themselves in an arranged marriage by royalty and the only way out is to battle a large pig-like creature in armor. What? Why are you giving me that look?
3: An underwater base in California falls in peril as drones that was created to guard the base begin to malfunction and start attacking their human masters. The only thing is they aren't really malfunctioning. They've developed a conscious and the people in charge there don't like it one bit so they're trying to strip that consciousness away.
4: Victorian London, a string of mysterious disappearances in an old abandoned castle prompt The Professor to investigate. Many of the townsfolk believe that the building is haunted. Well, it's not. Not really. There's something much worse inside the castle than a ghost. A Weeping Angel.
5: It wouldn't surprise me if this idea has been done before, wouldn't surprise me if all of them has been done before, but I'll throw it out there anyway. A miscalculation on The Professor's part sends the TARDIS to an alternate earth where the Soviet Union won the Cold War and has managed to take over the US. There could be many reasons for why this happened. History could have simply played out differently or someone intervened and assisted the Soviets. When I originally wrote this idea I had The Master in mind as the person pulling the strings and ruling over the Soviets and the rest of the world, but any villain who may be interested can step in as the mastermind.
6: The Second Dimension, the home of the Flatlanders. This would be another simple exploration story that could lead to something more. I just thought it would be really cool to interact with these creatures in their own dimension. Just imagine all the cool stuff we could do with it.
7: Monster in the Closet. What if all those times you thought you saw a monster in your closet was true? An unknown alien race has managed to create a dimensionally transcendental gateway between their world and earth to use as means for an alien invasion. The gateway is sealed off during the day but activates at night when everyone else has gone to sleep. The aliens aren't humanoid this time around they're actually kind of round, with eyes all over their bodies and tentacles and they're kind of like a jellyfish with electricity over their bodies. What? My mind likes to come up with these things.
8: Let's say the TARDIS suffered some damage and The Professor and whoever is with her at the time was trying to repair it. It starts to freak out and work against them in a similar way as Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS separating The Professor and the other(s). What if they found video archives of the Last Great Time War while they were lost? Of course it'd all be fake because her memories of them are fake, but it could be interesting to play out and we wouldn't have to be accurate in what's there because it's all a lie anyway.
9: 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue and discovered America. A man who has been romanticed in a way in American history. This would work best if The Professor is traveling with someone from America, but not required. Only this time around a group of time travelers tries to hide the continent (making it invisible) so that Columbus doesn't find it in order to keep the Indians from being taken over. The problem? This would dramatically change history. So what side to choose?
10: Remember the Weeping Angel that was left in the graveyard at the end of Angels Take Manhattan? It never left. The Professor and her pupil at the time end up in this graveyard (another miscalculation, those are getting embarrassing) and while The Professor is sorting out the TARDIS BOOM! The pupil gets sent back in time by the Angel right into the fragile time stream that could be destroyed if the TARDIS enters it. But The Professor has no way of knowing that, does she? Now, I don't know what's Amy doing or if this been approached, but if she's up for it I would love to have her involved in this story and see what she's been doing all this time (for some reason I picture her mob gear having take over the whole mafia, but that's just me) but in case she isn't available we don't need Amy per see. Fragile time stream? No way to save the person on the other side so says the Moff? Challenge accepted.
11: Remember the drones that gained a conscious? We run into them again. Obviously we can only do this if we do idea #3. This one would involve meeting up with the drones to see what they've been up to. Bad. Because they have stumbled upon a very bad influence. The Cybermen. What to do when you're on an alien ship ran by Cybermen manipulating those drones you saved back in California? Do I smell a prison break?
12: It's the Revolutionary War, the British Empire take on the American rebels with the help of the Sontaran Empire-- wait a minute! I don't remember any Sontarans in my history books. That's right, the Sontarans have infiltrated 18th Century earth but they're not interested in the war. Just conquering the earth. Why the Revolutionary War? I don't know. I kind of want to see the look on George Washington's face when he sees a bunch of Sontarans in red coats shooting at him.
13: One Nation under Dalek. A Dalek crash lands just outside of Washington DC and makes a path for the oval office demanding the President assist in repairing his ship so he can contact his people. I don't think I have to explain why that would be bad. The whole story would be based around stopping a single Dalek who more than likely just took out a whole army getting to the President...
None of these ideas are final and I'm open to ideas and suggestions to help flesh them out and anyone is welcome to join any of them and NPC the aliens that would be needed if you don't already have a character for that. I'll be more than willing to NPC the aliens required if no one else is interested. I'm also not limited to these ideas, just something to fall back on.
