" FOR THE KING!"  was the battle cry that greeted The Inspector as he fled for his life. It had all been going smoothly. He had managed to gain the trust of both the royalist and the round heads and was able to worm his way towards the court of King Charles the 1st. However After being caught trying to get his hands on the Crown... It didn't take long  before the Inspector was once again, running for his life. His old bones where starting to get on his nerves. Why couldn't he just regenerate all ready? He wasn't built for all this anymore!



True he was a tad more spry for a 600+ Time Lord in his first regeneration but he couldn't out run horses for Christ sake!  It all started when he was holidaying in England in the 17th century, however despite saying he was an authority on earth History (an authority on the history of the milky way to be exact) facts did slip his mind from time to time. One of these fact was the date he was in was also the date the English civil war broke out.  So now it was the 2nd year of the blasted war and he had spent all this time trying to keep him self alive and not loose his head. One may ask 'why not time travel?' Well unlike a certain Time Lord he belived that rules should be bent, not broken and thrown into a supernova. He was now part of events and after the TARDIS  had made a fuss about a relic of the once great Senuvian empire being in the vicinity, He had to stay.

Senuvians were a race of microscopic aliens who were humanoid but had rather large foreheads. The legend goes that they aided in creating the Skasis Paradigm but there is very little evidence to support that. But they did exist as a few relics of there culture existed to this day. The problem was that one of the most dangerous was now in possession of  the King of England. It wasn't surprising as in the Inspector's opinion all the British monarch's were rather mad. His theory was that the crown was some sort of prison and one of the defenses it had was to cause erratic behavior (the logic was lost on him). And while trying to get a closer look at it he was caught and accused of high treason and theft, which resulted in a daring escape involving a wig and two pigs. 

Now he was running for His TARDIS and doing his best not get shot while also trying to figure out away to swap the crown with an identical one. Arrows flew past as well as a muscat ball, He really was very lucky they were awful aims.

The lights flickered on and lit up the extensive stone corridor. Each archway held a particular vehicle as The Valyard marched briskly down the centre aisle if his extensive TARDIS garage. He passed a number of vehicles including A 2013 Jet Black Rolls Royce Phantom, a 1920's Dark Blue Cadillac and A Hover-Chariot from the Zazorian Spartan Games before climbing into the driver seat of a Second World War Desert Jeep once owned by infamous General Erwin Rommel.

Seating himself comfortably in the brown leather seat, The Valeyard turned a small switch next to the gearstick down to his left. The dashboard of the jeep flipped down to reveal flashing lights, switches, levers, buttons and a computer monitor. The monitor flickered into to life displaying a small satellite image of a small pink blob being chased across an open field by horses carrying large silver squares. Laughing to himself, he rubbed his hands together as he retrieved a set of large silver goggles from the glove box and placed them around the back of his head and resting on his temple.

Pulling the starting handle, the jeep roared into life as it's Hyper-Diesel V18 engine from a Ferrari factory in 2120 grunted violently. Cracking the large gear stick into first and flooring the pedal, the jeep tore out of the arch and into the aisle. Racing past archway after archway, the jeep screeched round a corner and charged to full speed. Avoiding large pillars and columns, the jeep blistered towards a large stone wall at the end of the corridor. Increasing speed, The Valeyard gripped the wheel as he raced towards the solid structure. He moved his left hand to the middle of the dash and pressed in a large red button. The Jeep began to flash with light and in three short bursts of energy, it disappeared.

On the fields of England, three flashes of the same blue light began to pulsate at the side of the sprinting Inspector as he ran. After the third, the jeep tore through the light and raced across the uneven ground. The Valeyard cranked up the handbrake and spun the wheel to the left and parked the jeep diagonally across The Inspectors path. Throwing open the passenger side door, The Valeyard yelled to his fellow Time Lord.

"GET IN!"

He almost tripped and that cost him his precious few feet. They were almost on him now. So this was it? Done in by the King's guard, oh his future selves would never let him live it down, still he was old now so odds are he would get younger body more suited for the running and the adventure and the.. Damn.

He would recognize that type of teliport anywhere, He gave the idea to Robert Zemeckis after all. A 20th century jeep appeared out of no where as a man in period dressing shouted for him to get in.

once again that 6th sense of his acted up telling him it was a time lord. But the first thought was not 'thank you for saving my life' not 'my god how did you survive?' it was.

"What in Omega's NAME ARE YOU THINKING?!" He jumped in the passenger side and slammed the door.

"You can't bring a teliporting Jeep to 17th century England! There are rules that can be flaunted and rules that cannot, THIS IS ONE OF THEM!" As he berated his savor he noted that the Kings men were fast approaching.

"Dash it all, Floor it." he said in a huff as he caught his breath."
