Original
Name: Alice Mordecai
Age: Looks sixteen
Gender: female
Species: Human, but also known as a Dreamer
Planet of Origin: Earth
Occupation: Dreamer
Physical Description: Alice is dead, so unfortunately most people can't see her. Sure sometimes she can create gusts of wind to ruffle their hair, or clothing. But they never care enough to see what caused it. If she tries hard enough she can make herself solid enough to pass off as a shadow, but that only happens rarely and for short periods of time. But grownups don't really matter, her place is with children.
To children Alice appears human, but to those with big enough imaginations she can appear 'different'. To those who can see her, Alice appears to be about sixteen with light brown hair that reaches to the middle of her back. She has slightly pale skin, mostly from the fact that she's dead. She stands at about 5'10, with long graceful limbs.
Alice's style has a vintage base to it. She likes to wear flowers, and tie die tea-shirts. But sometimes she'll dress in the latest fashion, adding a bit of her own flare that is.
Personality: When Alice was alive, she was almost always depressed. She only rarely smiled, or made any facial expression. And when she did it was because of her brother, Torin. Alice didn't think she deserved to feel how she felt, or be treated like a low life criminal kid who's parents didn't want. But she was too shy and scared to reach out to someone for help. She was a very timid person, not being able to look anyone in the eye and if she did it was only for a few seconds and with a vast effort. She would jump at any loud noises, or fast movements in her direction. This came from her abusive childhood.
After Alice died, her personality completely changed. She became more confident in her actions, and always had a smile on her face. She would make jokes out of everything, and anything even if they weren't that funny. Which most of the time they aren't. Poor child wasn't made to crack jokes. She would tease her dreamings, and make fun of the people who couldn't see her. She would never go far enough to hurt someone's feelings, just to make a few laughs.
She's silly, likes to have fun, and increadbly energetic. She can run circles around the most crazed toddlers, and six year olds Earth has ever known. One of her dreamings even described her as a 'chipmonk high on caffiene and sugar'. But she also has a calmer side, well she calls it calm but really its one notch down from crazy. She's kind and gentle when needed to be, and she's always there to lend some advice to her dreamings or just to talk to.
History: Alice didn't have the greatest childhood. She was abused both physically, and mentally by her parents. Of course she didn't know why her parents were so cruel to her, all she wanted was to be a happy family. Like the ones she saw at the park, or on TV. But that would never happen, the only happiness she found in life was her older brother Torin. Eventually they were taken away from their parents and put into foster homes, but that was even worse to Alice.
The kids were never nice to her, and would always make fun of the way she dressed or talked. Soon this caused Alice to draw away from them, ceasing to talk entirely except to her brother. And even then it was in one syllable sentences. The only escape in life Alice had, was her imagination. When she was alone, or it was just her and her brother, she would pretend that they had a perfect family who loved them, and would take care of them like a family should.
They went from foster home to foster home, each one bringing Alice more misery then the last. One times she tried playing with the other children, but this resulted in her only stuffed animal being taken away by one of the older kids, and a line of taunts thrown at her. She was too frightened and upset to say anything back, not that she would be able to anyway, so she just curled up into a ball and let the words hit her. Each one bringing more pain then the last.
In one of the many occasions that she was sitting alone, a strange looking man appeared in front of her. Teeth too big to be healthy for such a small mouth, he bit her leg leaving a gaping wound. Out of fear more then pain, because there was none, she screamed as loud as she could making her current foster parents run out of the house to see what was wrong. When she looked at the place where she was bitten, it had sealed itself leaving only a rip in her pants. Her foster parents never listened to her after that.
The best part of Alice's life came after death. It happened when she was sixteen, it was late afternoon and she was looking for her brother. She was usually always with him, the only reason they hadn't been separated when put into foster homes, was because she wouldn't let go of his arm. And if she did it was with a lot of kicking, screaming, and biting.
She couldn't really remember how she knew where he would be, call it sibling intuition, or perhaps a feeling. She just knew. Alice was too late to help him, even if she was in time she wouldn't of been able too. All she could do was hold his body, and plead with the universe itself for him not to be dead. Torin was all Alice knew in life. He was her best friend, her brother, and the only thing she cared about. Without him, life seemed meaningless and cold.
Feeling cold and empty inside, Alice drew herself away from her brother. If he wasn't alive anymore, then why should she? She didn't have anything to live for anymore, she had no friends, and no family. There was no more hope in her life, so she did the only thing she could think of doing. She jumped infront of a bus.
The first memory Alice has of being a dreamer, is waking up and seeing her body on the pavement a group of astounded people surrounding it. She would of loved to say that she played it cool, nodded a few times and took in the fact that she was dead. But really she had a panic attack. If ghosts could have panic attacks. She started hopping through the crowd, waving her hand infront of people's faces, and doing anything to get their attention. Thankfully another dreamer noticed her, and drew her aside to explain to her what was happening.
She was a Dreamer, and dreamers were here to help people. They were here to make sure people don't make the same mistakes they did in life. So Alice embraced her new life, being truly happy for once. Of course she never forgot her brother, she asked the dreamer if he would become one too. He didn't know sadly, but Alice never gave up hope. She's constantly looking through crowds, and searching in cemetery for her big brother. Even though she was able to be on her own now, she still needed her big brother.
Addition Medical Information: Well, she's dead. Health is the least of her problems.
