Alice lazily floated by a lamp post, watching the living go by. Occasionally she sent bursts of wind their way, knocking off hats, blowing away news papers, sometimes making them stumble a little. Not enough to harm them, she would never do that, just to have a little fun. And sense they couldn't see her, she never got in trouble. And it was hilarious to watch their expressions when they turned around, and no ones there. There were ups to being dead.
Eventually she got bored, and drifted off in search of something else to do. She floated through the cemetery, looking at the statues, and graves. She usually did this once a day, just to see if any new ghosts popped up so she could actually talk to someone other then children. Not that she had a problem with kids, she loved them to death, it just gets lonely sometimes. Eventually they have to go to sleep, and then Alice's left with no one to talk to for at least eight hours. Thats like, days to a ghost. She sat on one of the grave stones, crossing her legs.
The invitation from an old dancing friend had come in the post a few days back. She was getting married to her childhood sweetheart (cue the ah's) and well, Rosa needed a dress. That was the sole reason she was out today and not sleeping in the flat - she had to go shopping. Problem was, Rosa didn't have the first clue about what to wear from this time period to such an event - was there a certain dress code or 'thing' to wear? Rosa was a bit of a worry-wort about those such things, and even though the wedding wasn't until two weeks time (last minute to coincide with their next tour) Rosa wanted things perfect in case of alterations.
Rosa pulled her coat tighter around her and hugged her coffee to her chest as she stepped back out onto the road, casting a glance in either direction before beginning to walk. Rosa stopped and looked up at the signs, trying to find a shortcut, the less time wasted the better really. Aha, the graveyard! All things considered, she was a bit nervous about walking through one (especially with the things she'd seen with the Doctor), but Rosa persisted nonetheless. Those dresses needed her!
With a quick glance around, Rosa let herself in through the squeaky gate and started a brisk walk over the uneven cobbled path. The less time she spent in here the better for her nerves (and sanity).

Alice watched with curiosity, as a living started walking through her grave yard. Usually they stayed away from here, she didn't know why, maybe they didn't like statues? She jump down from her gravestone, and floated behind the living. This one felt different, she had a heartbeat so she wasn't dead like Alice. But she didn't feel right, like she didn't belong here. She didn't know how that would be possible, maybe she was just imagining it.
She glanced at the cup she held in her hand, it was coffee! She loved coffee, even if she had a hard time drinking it. She loved the taste, the smell, and the way it made her feel. Well, the way she imagined it made her feel. Alice just loved coffee. End of story. She eyed the cup in her hands longingly, almost like a puppy eyeing his master pleadingly for some of his food. God did she love coffee.
The graveyard was rather creepy even in the daytime, dappled light filtering through the trees casting shadows over the path and graves. Birdsong played faintly up in the ether and the wind lightly rustled the leaves. Everything seemed slower, more at ease here. A far cry from the noisy, busy and blustery city roads she had left behind less than a minute ago. Rosa endeavoured to make it in good time to go shopping and she was determined to make that deadline, despite how eerily peaceful this place was.
Rosa hadn't seen the girl perching on the gravestone, nor had she seen her eye up her coffee and float after her. For once, she was painfully oblivious to her surroundings. Perhaps that was a good thing. Her time spent with The Doctor had been brilliant, her best memories were there. She'd seen places, people and cultures she'd never have even been able to dream about, and it had been real. Frankly it made living an ordinary, mundane life rather dull, or a blessing, depending on what mood Rosa was in at the time. To any passers by, the girl would seem lost in her thoughts, head cast down and eyes watching where she was putting her feet to avoid stepping in any dog muck.
Passing by the church building sent shivers down her spine, and in response the girl clutched her coat tighter around her body as if it would offer some more warmth. She cast a nonchalant glance in the church stained glass window as she walked by it, her brain not recognising what she had seen until a moment later. Was that... a face? Rosa whipped around, coffee still in hand to look behind her... but there was no-one there. The girl shook her head and swept her fringe out of her face with one hand, looking back into the window. "See, there's no-one there Rosa. You're just being silly, blame the coffee for that." She muttered, pursing her lips and taking a sip from the cup.
Rosa sighed and pressed on, not being able to shake the feeling of being watched. The coffee was good, still piping hot, but it helped calm her nerves. Maybe having a cup or two more often wouldn't be such a bad thing after all.
Alice looked at the woman excitedly as she spun to look at her. Her hopes slightly faltered when 'Rosa' turned away mumbling to herself. Now that she knew Rosa could see her, even if it was just her reflection, she wasn't going to let her get away. "Come onn. I know you can see me." She whined walking beside her. Rosa could see her, she just needed a little prodding in the right direction. "Just relax." She had noticed the living seemed a little high strung, and extremely tired. Maybe that was what was holding her back from seeing Alice, she just needed to loosen up.
She sent a warm breeze over Rosa, hoping that would help her relax. She couldn't do much more, just hop around her excitedly, and prod her to relax and actually see her surroundings. She clasped her hands in front of her, in a pleading gesture and stopped in front of Rosa. "Please see me."
