She was faster than this guy she knew that but if Oracle moved any quicker than a human whoever was calling the street fight would catch on, and quite honestly she needed the money.
Granted, pick pocketing a passerby would have easier, oh so much easier. But, there was always a chance with that of one day getting caught. Granted it had never stopped her before, but she’d been hearing about these little fight clubs and how the payoff to the winner was pretty good so she thought she’d give it a try.
The punch pulled her out of her thoughts fast when she felt the guys knuckles catch her in the jaw and spin her around a little. Spitting a bit of blood out of her mouth she ran her tongue over her teeth to make sure all of her teeth were still accounted for; all were present.
“Well, that’s good.” turning to face the guy again Oracle ran the back of her hand across her bottom lip wiping away the blood “Come on little girl you said you wanted to fight let’s get this over with.” Oracle couldn’t help but laugh a little before smiling the tiniest bit “Ok, double winnings?”
She was hustling them, and they were playing right into her hands “Whatever you want doll fa-“ Oracle didn’t let him finish that sentence.
Moving quickly Oracle dodged the big guy's incoming punch, catching his hand in hers and twisting, there was an audible pop that came from the guy's wrist.
To push the meaning home, Oracle returned the punch to his jaw with all the force she could throw into it before following with a nice kick to the gut, knocking the guy to the floor, hard. “Yield, I yield.”
Shaking her hand a little because her knuckles were throbbing she figured she’d broken a finger or two, she’d have to set them later “He yields, I win.”
She smiled at the guys holding the cash as they reluctantly started to hand her the winnings “Cops! Scatter!” someone yelled, Oracle was gone before they had a chance to finish their sentence and the cops could come around the corner.
