Walking through the streets of London, Chidori had been on tye run since she left the orphanage that was run by cruel people. Though through her quick wits and creativity she has managed to survive quite well. It is still a tough life but it is far better than the orphanage. Besides without people telling her what to do the girl is free to do all the childish things she wants to do. But right now the girl is looking for a safe place to stay so she can get some rest and eat the food she managed to steal from a fast food joint while no one was looking. Of course the food was hidden in her backpack so that no one would suspect she is up to something. Since it is the weekend no one was concerned with seeing a child walking around London, she just looked like a confident kid heading home. Not a kid who lives on the streets.
As she walked along the girl came across a twenty pound paper bill. Quickly snatching it the girl knows that it was a good stroke of luck that she came across it before anyone else. Stuffing the bill into her pocket she will continue on her way. Though she will hide from view as a cop came walking down the street, if the cops are still looking for her, the cop will recognize her and drag Chidori back to the orphanage. She does not want to go back there, who knows what will happen if she does. When the cop was gone, Chidori came out of hiding. Continuing on her way the Frobisher walked along the street, picking up every bit of change she came across. With the paper bill and the change she will be alright for a week or two, hopefully that is.
Rounding a corner the girl watched as a curious man walked away from a phone box. Well an alleyway sure is a strange place to put a phone box. But it may serve as a good place to hide while she eats her food and gets some rest. Her little feet and legs feel really sore after walking around all day. So she waited for the strange man to walk a good distance away from the strange box. When he is gone the girl ran over, testing the door she discovered that it was unlocked. So she pulled it open and headed inside. Only to stand there dazed at how big it was on the inside. Looking around the girl headed deeper into the Tardis, not realizing what she is inside of as she walked over to the controls. There are alot of controls! Just what is this? Chidori took a seat on a nearby sofa, giggling as she bounced after landing on the furniture. Setting her bag down next to her she dug out the food and soda she had stolen, eagerly eating the food but took her time as she looked around at the surroundings.
In no time the girl had finished her food. She is a good little girl as instead of leaving the garbage laying around Chidori discarded it into the nearby bin. Now with a full stomach the Frobisher is curious about just what she has chosen to hide in. Leaving her backpack on the sofa, Chidori walked down one of the hallways to start exploring the Tardis, going into each of the rooms. It was like a very strange hotel to the Frobisher as she explored the ship.

It had been a simple "milk run" so to say to London. It was one of his more often haunts that was for certain. Especially with companions coming from there. The UK was often The Doctor's common grounds. Though he wasn't sure if it was just because he liked the area, that it was where he just went most often, or that it was a decent "refilling" station for his TARDIS. Eh, whichever it was, it was good enough reason to be honest. And whatever it had been that he had decided to go do, he hadn't been gone for very long. Maybe a few hours max. Of course he came alone. Not always did he come just to bring companions onboard for another adventure. More often than not when bored and having nothing else better to do (like show off the universe to people), he'd come and go from time to time. There were spots he'd park just for those sake's, mostly so he wouldn't run into himself. Those were never good and in some cases if not catastrophic, almost down right embarrassed as a lord of time.
When he had reached the TARDIS he hadn't had the faintest clue someone might have been there, that was until he came upon her door. He stood there for a moment in thought, almost as if "sensing" a presence crossing his time stream, then fluttering away. Before he could go to unlock his TARDIS though, he found the door slightly ajar. He hadn't left it like that. Had he forgotten to lock her up? It was possible. Sometimes he got engrossed in what he was doing and occasionally forgot things. Carefully he pushed it opened, looked inside, and when he saw nothing, just shrugged and walked in closing the door behind him. When he did get inside though, he could still feel that "someone walking over your grave" sort of vibe while inside. The only reason it drew his attention, was because it wasn't a familiar energy and it was new. However, he tried to pay no mind to it and went about his normal duties, hoping who or whatever was there, they'd show themselves.
"Alrigh' almost done refuelin', wonderful!" he mused to himself. He often talked like this companion around or not. Talking to himself kept his mind off sometimes how alone he was. While others it just amplified the fact. Either way it was habit none the less. He fiddled with a few of the controls, preparing the TARDIS for a jump in the very near future, "Just a few more min' and bam off we'll go."
He was referring "we'll" as him and his old girl, traveling time and space together forever. If there was anyone or anything for that matter the he knew would be around potentially forever, it was his TARDIS. They were probably the closest married couple even more so than his wife he had back on Gallifrey. Not to say that, that life had been bad, but even that life faded like dust. It was now just him and his girl, his TARDIS nearly one hundred percent of the time, unless of course she decided to sentient skip out on him because she got spooked by something.
It wasn't long before The Doctor was able to read that the TARDIS was primed to leave London. A small smile on his face the Doctor started up the rotor. He was only going to drop into the time vortex, just to see if he could seed out the uninvited visitor. If not, he'd have the opportunity this way to search her corridors to find his little guest.
The Frobisher had no idea that the owner of this strange ship had returned. Unlike the Doctor who can sense others, Chidori does not have that ability. The child was deep in one of the corridors anyways, out of range to hear the Time Lord talking to the TARDIS as though it was a person. The alien simply kept on walking along the corridor, peeking into each room that she came across a door to. So far she found a couple of bedrooms, small but sufficient. The girl will then find the library full.of.so many books it will take years to read them all. Now she was so curious about all the books that she cautiously stepped into the room, quietly closing the door behind her. Walking along the walls of shelves Chidori looked at all the books, catching glimpses of the variety of titles. Some she couldn't even tell what the title said due to either the language not being in English or the binding being so worn down. Eventually the little alien was back at the door, grabbing the door handle.the girl looked back at all the books for a moment or two before she stepped out.
It was when she felt the jolt of the ship taking off that she looked around a bit wide eyed. Not sure of what to think or do. Did the person at the controls even know she is onboard? The alien swallowed lightly as she started walking along the corridor again, just following where the hallway led her. Of course she still looked into rooms that she came across. Though now the girl is being a bit cautious as she walked along.
Eventually her wondering led her right back to the control room where The Doctor was. Though the little alien is not behind the Time Lord but right in front of him thanks to the corridor. There may have been a possibilty the TARDIS changed the layout of the corridor to force the Frobisher, gently, to show herself. If the girl was alble to or thought of it, she would have hidden herself. Forcing the Time Lord to come looking for her. The little Frobisher stood there in front of the corridor, silently looking at the man. Okay she did get good vibes from the man, but due to her past experiences Chidori was afraid of him. Plus she is technically a stowaway on his ship, and so the little girl had no idea what to expect. In a ways she is expecting the Time Lord to react angrily, and perhaps violently. Maybe raise his voice at her. The girl backed away a couple steps, ready to flee if she found the man's reaction to be too scary or if for some reason felt spooked. Her expression showing that she is frightened now that she is in the presense of The Doctor.

Well that wasn't exactly what he expected when he looked up across the console. His face was at first expressionless, but then went into a raised brow wide eyed look. He was far from being mad, unless of course one counted the crazy he was deemed to be sometimes, then sure he was mad, mad as a damn hatter. Mad man in a blue box. No, The Doctors face showed a more surprised and intrigued look.
"Oh would ya look at tha'. Hello!" he gave a little wave from where he was and then stood up straighter. He wasn't certain if he should go over to the little girl or not, but he was going to try coming closer. He put his hands in his pockets though and casually came around the console so he could face her better. He definitely was taller than her, that was for certain, which honestly could make him quite the intimidating figure even if he wasn't trying to be. Tilting his head he said, "How did you get in here? Did the ol' girl let you in?"
He looked over at the console, "You know what I've said about strangers."
His voice was more of a tease to the TARDIS and not serious. The TARDIS whirped back at him as if responding to him with "Oh you shush you've brought plenty of strangers in without my permission and I allow it." The Doctor just scoffed a little with a laugh and then turned his gaze back to the girl.
"What's your name?" he continued, a small smile finding its why onto his lips.
Okay maybe the little Frobisher was expecting a different sort of reaction. She was expecting him to react how other people do. Not like how he is. The shock is you can say normal, but not the friendliness. Though at first his little happy mumbling made the little alien giggle quietly as she waved back to him shyly. Now his friendliness did not stop Chidori from remaining a bit on edge. She has no idea who or what this strange man is. With the ship having left Earth, there is no where to run but back down the very same corridor she has just walked out of.
She did not move as The Doctor made the small move towards her. The little girl wanted to run. But she did sense that this strange man was different than other adults. She could not quite put her finger on all of them yet, but one of them was the possibility of someone who is gentle. Okay his posture did make him a bit intimidating, but to any child it will be. The frobisher looked from him to the console then back to the Time Lord, "I found the door cracked open a bit while I was looking for a place to hide so I can eat." She explained quietly. Unsure if The Doctor will believe her story.
She listened to the sounds the console was making and looked a bit confused. Was it seriously talking to the strange man? Was there something in the food and drink she had earlier? No wait this kind of stuff only happens in dreams. Yes that is it, she must have fallen asleep. She will just roll with it and in no time she will be waking up.
Okay now as the Time Lord smiled it was too contagious and hard to resist as a small, shy smile appeared on the frobisher's face, "Chidori. My name is Chidori. What's your name?"

Grinning a bit more now, The Doctor said, "I'm The Doctor. Nice to meet you Chidori."
Of course the door had been open a crack, naughty girl. She let the little girl in. Yet, it wasn't common for the TARDIS to just let anyone in all the time. No there had to be a reason that the girl was allowed in, or had even seen the TARDIS for that matter seeing as the TARDIS had a perception filter on her that made sure most folks didn't even notice it was there unless of course the person could see past it, the TARDIS let them see past it, or if it was honestly malfunctioning or something, which honestly he hoped it wasn't.
"You thought the TARDIS would be a good place to hide out." he mused, he wasn't dumb, he could tell that the child had been having a rough time of things. "And of course like the compassionate ol' girl she is, she obliged. That doesn't surprise me. Well who am I to argue with her. If she doesn't think your a threat, then I shouldn't either."
He rubbed the edge of the console, trying to reassure the TARDIS she did good instead of being cross with her. This girl, the longer he looked at her, he realized needed probably some attention. She looked like she'd been on her own a while. A bit underfed and honestly probably needed a shower.
"You still hungry? I'm sure you are. And tired too." he calmly offered.
"The Doctor?" The girl asked curiously. It is a curious name indeed. The girl was not about to ask why that is his name, "It is nice to meet you too, Doctor." She replied shyly.
The little girl watched The Doctor as he came around the console. Why was he treating his ship like it was a person? Wait.. It let her see the ship and get inside? Was he making an excuse for accidentally leaving the door open? Whatever the reason was the Frobisher did take advantage of the door being open to hide. So when the Time Lord noted that the child thought that the TARDIS would be a good place to hide Chidori nodded. Then looked a little confused. Why wasn't he concerned about her sneaking into his ship? She could have accidentally destroyed it while pressing the buttons on the console, that is if she was able to reach them. Maybe he is a real big softy. Yeah that had to be why he is not upset about the Frobisher sneaking onboard.
Chidori opened her mouth to deny that she was still hungry. But her stomach had other ideas in mind as it growled loudly. Talk about being betrayed by your own body. Guess the burger was not enough. The girl nodded, "Yeah I am still hungry." She finally admitted. Tired? Yes for sure the child is tired and hasn't had a good sleep in a while. The girl felt bad that this man who doesn't know her except.for her name was taking the time to take care of her. She would be fine with being given food and dropped off somewhere. The girl didn't realize that her gaze had gone from looking at the Time Lord to looking at the floor. She guessed that him mentioning she must be tired brought that feeling forward, "Yes I am tired too." She admitted after a moment or two of trying to deny the fact she is tired as well as hungry.

"How does something from the kitchen sound hmm?" he asked. "Then maybe get you a room to sleep in for a few hours?"
He really wasn't sure how he felt about children in any form of the sense, but in some cases it was probably easier to deal with a child than it was an adult some days. Children usually had an open mind to new things, strange things. Things like him and his TARDIS. To them, it was probably like taking a step into Oz or Wonderland or Narnia or something of that sort. Honestly if he could see his own life and TARDIS from a different perspective like that he probably would think exactly the same thing. To be honest, when he was younger, before his academy days, a part of him did think about what it would be like, to travel beyond Gallifrey. But those were at the time pipe dreams of a boy who didn't know whether he'd be able to handle even looking into the Untempered Schism. It wasn't like at that moment in his life he'd decided he was going to be "The Doctor". That was like a thing you thought about as a child, what you wanted to be when you grew up, but never was concrete. Hell some days it still was not certain always who he was. Guess he just never grew up enough to know exactly what he wanted to be when he grew up, what kind of Doctor. He could be them all, or none at all. Or both for all he cared. He was still a boy with a toy and was running away from Gallifrey to find out what was out there in the universe instead. A time traveling Peter Pan.
"Come on. I'll show you." he held out a hand to her for her to take if she wanted. He'd show her, even though the TARDIS probably could on its own. He figured why not keep her company a bit.
Chidori looked to the Doctor's hand as he held it out for her to hold if she chose to. For a moment she stared at his hand as though it was a shark. Can say it was out if distrust since the little alien has no idea if he really is going to take her to a bedroom or if he was going to take the child to some authority figure for trespassing. However if that was the case then he would have grabbed her and carried her off by now. So he had to be telling the truth. The girl nodded shyly as she took the Time Lord's hand, "Food and sleep does sound good." She told the strange man.
The frobisher looked around at the TARDIS. The child had no idea that she was in a special kind of ship. So far all the girl thought was that it was a funny ship since it took the shape of a phone box that said Police on it.
"What kind of ship is this? And why is it shaped like a phone box?" She asked as the questions came to mind. As the Doctor may have expected the child would have started asking questions at some point, "And why is it so big? Shouldn't it be small on the inside too since the outside is small?" The girl is obviously curious now and couldn't help the questions she will begin bombarding the Time Lord with. Chidori was of the curious sort that sometimes got the better of her when she can't control her curiosity. It would be a miracle if the child was satisfied with the answers that the strange man gave her. There was one question that she had to ask or her brain my just go haywire if she doesn't ask the one question that has been nagging her, "Are you an alien like me as well?"

It was cute, no down right adorable that the little alien girl was so curious about everything. In fact when she asked some of the same questions some of his companions asked, it didn't seem as redundant or grating as when she asked. He could feel the genuine innocent honest desire to want to learn there. Which was a bit refreshing to be honest.
"Well, this, this is a TARDIS, time and relative dimension in space. Basically it can take you anywhere in time and space. It looks like a police box because that's the way her and I like it. She's sentient you see. The reason it's so much bigger on the inside is because it has its own special universe inside held snug and securely by trans-dimensional walls. And I'm a time lord. I'm a long way from my home, Gallifrey."
He looked down at her as they walked down the halls of the TARDIS. They had about the same features as the control room, just more basic to the walls of the inner shell with roundels along the walls. "So tell me about yourself. You say alien like you, where you from?"
The Doctor was genuinely curious of course. He couldn't help himself he always had to learn and know things. He didn't like being in the dark about things.
The girl looked up at the hallway as the Time Lord guided her down the corridor. Well the girl was curious about the ship that she is in. She did look up to the strange man as The Doctor told her about the ship and himself, "The TARDIS is a sentient as in she can think and make decisions of her own? That is interesting. I didn't know a ship can think." She was indeed intrigued by what the man had told her about the TARDIS. She wasn't expecting to hear what the Time Lord told her at all. She tilted her head a bit as she listened to the man tell her about himself, "I never heard of Gallifrey. What is a Time Lord?" She asked curiously thinking about what he could mean by him being a Time Lord but nothing that she could think of made any sense to her.
The girl looked from the wall of the hallway up to the man, "I am a Whifferdill from Xenon. I think it is a long way from here as well. I was playing with my brothers and sisters when I fell through the ground. The tunnel brought me here to London." She told the Time Lord. She was not sure what else she could tell the man nor what he would ask, "The tunnel dropped me into the Lion Den while I was in my penguin form. The humans put me in with the other penguins thinking I was a real penguin. When they found me in my human form they naturally freaked out. I was then put in an orphanage.. it's horrible there." The girl decided to finish with that as she didn't know what else to tell the Time Lord.

"Yeah, well some ships can, like mine." he stated. "Ah, a time lord is...well it is....blimey that's gonna be a hard one to explain."
He had to think of it in simple terms, "Basically time lords are people who travel space time and sort of ...well ...lord over it I suppose. Though I really don't find myself lording over much of anything, except maybe keepin' the peace in the universe. As for Gallifrey, it was my home, the home of the time lords. There's not real way to completely describe it. Not with true justice."
He gave a distance thoughtful stare then looked at her with a raised brow, "A Whifferdill you say?! I used to know a Whifferdill once. Many ages ago, many faces ago too at that. But yes I used to know one, his name was Frobisher. Interesting fellow I must say. We used to travel together off and on."
