Finding out who she is

Sarah Darla walking down the streets of Cardiff on her way home from school. She only had a week left of school and tomorrow she was going to be eighteen years old. She had her books in her backpack which was on her right shoulder. She was wearing her  school uniform. Her hair was down it was a nice sunny day out. Rain wasn't in the forecast but their was a few clouds in the sky. When she got home she saw the door open but no one around. "Hello mum you home?' She said slowly walking into the house. She than dropped to her knees to the site of her mum laying on the ground bleeding. "Mum."She said going over to her. She pulled out her cell and was about to call the cops and premedics something or someone stopped her.


Tenth Doctor

He visited Cardiff quite frequently. Mostly for fuel up reasons for the TARDIS, but there were times he'd be there for other things. Sometimes the rift would spit out things that not even Torchwood would catch. No he wasn't around all the time, but when he was, he'd help where he could. After all Earth was protected by him. It was his obligation to look after its inhabitants. At least he made it his obligation anyway. This particular time was no exception after he caught a signal of some varying sort coming from Earth. Did that mean every single signal he came across he went to, no. All of space and time there was, he couldn't quite do everything. Especially depending on what sort of situation it was. There were just times he actually "couldn't" do something because it was too dangerous to mess with the timeline if he did. While other times he did answer the call and went a fixed things. This was one of those.

So before he felt that this girl could make an extremely bad mistake, he put a gentle hand on hers to stop her from making that call, "Don't. Not a good idea."

What The Doctor had been tracking, he had found had ended up all the way out here in the suburbs of Cardiff. He'd already taken notice of this girls mother being dead before the girl had even entered the home. He knew whatever had killed the girls mom, had also probably intentions of killing her as well. He couldn't allow that no matter the circumstances.

"Do that, and you may very well put everyone in danger." he continued. "Whatever did this to your mum, might very well still be in this house. And before you say anything, no it's not me. It's something....much more stealthy...."

It was then that he thought he could hear a small mechanical sound of clinking pieces moving together. At first it was distant, quiet, but then it seemed to get closer and closer, faster and faster. It was then that as it seemed to try and come at both of them, he tried to push the both of them out of the way of its path. He didn't see it coming either, because it had come from behind them.

"Now would be a good time to move!" he hissed with annoyance at the thing that just tried assassinating them.

Sarah Darla headed for her bedroom and shut the door. "Leave me alone."' She said sitting in the courner. She than heard a voice in her head it was a voice she heard long ago. "Dad?" She said looking around the room thinking he was in the room with her. But saw nothing.

Stupid, stupid girl! Did he not even hear her. Was she off in her own little world. Being alone was the dumbest thing she could have done. Humans! They could be brilliant when they wanted to be, but at times when encountered with something like this they tended to do anything and everything in their power to get themselves into more trouble. The Doctor stared at the robotic bug stuck into the wall. Its long needle jutting out as its worming snake like body wriggled. He frowned at it with disgust. They looked familiar, but where, he wasn't able to quite pinpoint at the second, not with his hearts racing like they were. The Doctor pulled out his sonic and pointed it at the creature until it fried. At least they were able to be taken care of. However, he was certain it wasn't the only assassin around. Bugs of these sort came in a variety of designs, most made to blend in until they strike. Worm, spiders, rats, etc. Didn't matter, they all did the same job, and they usually came in pairs or more.

"Damn it!" he hissed to himself as he ran to the girls room. Was she stupid enough to lock the door, yes she was. "It's not safe in there! Do you hear me! You can't stay in there!"

He knocked on the door in a bit of panic.

Sarah Darla started to hum a gallifreyan lullaby. "Leave me alone."' She said sitting in the courner still. She was still humming the lullaby as the room started to shake. She wasn't sure what was going on as she headed for the door but it wouldn't open or even let her turn the knob. She was getting a bit scared now.

The Doctor tried to sonic the door, prayed that even if the door itself was wood, that because the nob wasn't that it would actually work for him. Luckily it did.

Meantime, while The Doctor was doing that, one of the creatures they'd encountered prior had come sneaking up behind the girl, its attack pre planned. It was ready to pounce her, and if she didn't move, it would kill her instantly.

The Doctor was able to unlock the door and burst through it. He pointed his sonic at the creature and pressed a button hoping that the signal it sent out would short the thing before it could attack her. He wanted so badly to yank her out of their by her foolish arm and get her out of that house as soon as possible.

Sarah Darla took off running out of the house passed the cops standing there. She pushed one of them as she ran. The cop grabbed her and stopped her before running right in front of a car. "Young lady you need to watch yourself." He said to her looking at the house than back at her.
