[attr="class","liebody"]"Okay.." she muttered to herself, breathing heavily as she rested in the branches of a massive corymbia. It was a sort of eucalyptus tree that smelled of lemons. "where.. the hell am I?"

She reached up, gently touching her forehead, trying to suss out the source of the dull throbbing ache. As her fingers rubbed against the skin, there was a hesitation as her fingers come into contact with something hot and sticky. Slowly, her hand withdrew to observe her findings. Blood. And from how dark and thick it was, it was an recent injury, but certainly not fresh.

She let out a low groan of frustration and tucked herself deeper into the crook of the massive branch, looking upwards into the sky, patches of sunlight filtering through the massive clusters of leaves. From what she could see and smell, a storm was steadily approaching, the air felt heavy and damp, a chill creeping in despite the heat, and the sky was shifting into soft pallets of dark grays and blues.

"What... happened?" Another question she had to sort out for herself. She closed her eyes, squeezing tight as she tried to remember.. something.. anything. But she couldn't recall anything, save a dreading emotion that she had given something up.. something precious, to save someone or something. But she just couldn't remember.

"Sod it, I'll figure it out later." and pushed herself up and began to climb down, carefully making her way until her feet were firmly on the ground. She adjusted the old worn backpack on her shoulders and drew in a deep breath. She wasn't going to find any answers here. And just as she took those first few steps, the first crack of lightning split the dim sky, followed by a low rumble of thunder. And before she could even assess the situation, the torrential downpour began.

"well fuck.."

[Oracle]

Looking up at the sky Oracle watched as a crack of lightning streak across the sky followed by the sound of thunder. She felt the temperature start to drop as it began to rain, good she thought, they needed the water.

Oracle went over to the kettle and poured herself another cup of tea. Letting it sit for a second to let the tea settle, Oracle reached over and started flipping through a box of old records.

Finally finding one she liked she took it out of the sleeve, flipping it end over end for a second Oracle placed it on the turntable, placing the needle on it soft music filtered through the small shack, it wasn’t much, but for now, it was home.

She went back over and grabbed her cup of tea; she had to admit to herself she liked it when it stormed Oracle never knew if it was the natural electric power of lightning singing out to her own barely controlled ability or pure enjoyment storms. Shrugging, she decided it didn’t matter and headed out to sit on the railing on the porch.
