Wild Goose Chase

[Chidori]

Walking along the pathway outside of a building that she didn't know UNIT used as one of their locations for whatever work they do. Chidori naturally looked around cautiously as she walked along the pavement as she didn't want to be caught and sent back to the orphanage. She would like to be as far away as possible from that horrible place. 

As she looked around the Whifferdill noticed a man that was stuck in the middle of four people who may have been guards. Maybe he is someone important.. or something along the lines of being important. The child did note that the man looked annoyed and maybe about ready to explode if he didn't get away from them. Chidori knew what it felt like to want to get away even for a little. It to get some fresh air. 

Tapping her feet with her hands resting on her hips the girl thought of how she can change the man's situation. She had to think fast because either they will turn on the path that will take them in Chidori's direction or down the alleyway behind the building. 

Think. Think. Think. The girl thought intensely for a second more then got an idea. She will use herself to create a bit of a distraction. Besides being as young as she is she should be with a parent, at home, or at school. And with her being at neither one of those the people escorting the man should take notice and turn their attention to the man they are escorting to her. If push comes to shove the child can easily think up another plan. So the girl stood in place, looking around as though she has lost her parents somewhere along the busy street. 

Nust as she thought the first two escorting The Master halted and turned their attention to the whifferdill, "Hi there. Are you lost? Where are your parents?" The one on the left asked placing his hands on his knees as he looked down to the child. Typical really. If only they knew what the penguin girl was planning all this time. The girl looked up at the man shyly, "I.. I don't know.. they went that way.. but I can't find them can you help me look for them ?" She told the man pointing down the street. If only she had a stuffed animel she can easily pass off as a lost child. 

[The Master]

It had been one of those times that UNIT had been convinced that letting him out for some proper interaction with the rest of the apes was one of those brilliant ideas they seemed to have. The Master may or may not have made a case for the fact that he needed research to be gathered from where they had found the black substance that he was still working on. And in response to his request, which had taken months to travel up proper channels, had finally been approved and he was out in the world surrounded by several guards; which were all carrying.

They had all sets of eyes on him at all points, if he breathed they seemed coiled and ready to react. Infuriating. But, they had fed him well before they went out so that none of them seemed to be in any such threat from his insatiable appetite. Though they continued on their way, in the direction of the last location of the substance, the device beeping softly in his hands (his own design of course, far superior to what UNIT could create), they soon all found themselves stopping.

The Master glanced up, flicker of irritation passing across his features until he listened to what his escort had to say. He sighed audibly before he settled on the girl, eyes narrowing. The apes were fumbling, speaking in hushed whispers between one another but he knew that they seemed to lean to the idea of helping the girl out. But he continued to stare at them, pushing the mental message across that it was in their best interest to go find the girl's parents.

"Sure, that way you say?"

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of the child while you all....wander off." The Master replied, his voice honeyed and a faux smile plastered across his face as he watched them all wander off in search of parents with a wiggle of his fingers.
