The Time Lord wasted no time and stepped out of the TARDIS, which was still disguised as a crate, "Well come on!" he yelled at Nate as he waited outside, "The results of that test are not going to change at all.. better get a move on." He looked around and saw that everything was cleaned up.
Nate rubbed his temples slightly as he watched Leo dart off.. This man just did NOT stand still. He was beginning to wonder if he was going to be able to keep up with this Time Lord. "Whoa whoa, Leo! Where are we going?" He stopped right behind him and saw the clean alley way. The blood was gone, the young man's body was gone.. nothing was left that showed anything had happened.
"Well, that was quick. I suppose that means we've just missed them?" He at least hoped that was the case. In the back of his mind, he was wondering if Leo and gone back by possibly an hour or so to possibly nab their assailants. Nate looked down at his watch. It read his current time so that was of no use to him. He arched a brow at Leo. "What time is it, by chance?"

The Nomad looked at Nate with an arched eyebrow, "I have not gone back or forwards in time at all.. what happened to the boy was a fixed point.. there is nothing I can do about that. The time is 9:15 at night." He replied before walking out of the alley, his hands stuffed into his pockets, "We are going to find the killers." He said in response to the human's question.
He came to a stop and looked around, "Alright now that it is going to start raining and it is cold out.. they have to be sheltering somewhere.. like a ship.. but if they came here by a schism then they have to be hiding somewhere when it is cold or raining.." Then he remembered some old, abandoned buildings he came across, "This way." He said before heading to his left then rounded a corner. He looked behind to see Nathaniel was having a hard time keeping up, "Am I too fast for ya? When I was your age I was able to keep up.. you are out of shape mate."

"Too fast for..?? No.. I'm fine!" he snapped, almost indignantly. He was actually in better shape the the rest of the the detective unit. But running after Nomad was like chasing down a wild rabbit coked out of it's mind on speed. The man seemed incapable of standing still. But he was trying to keep up with someone who had two hearts. "Dont worry about me, 'Old Man' I've got this!" He quickened to a light jog to keep up with Leo's brisk walking pace.
Now that he knew the time on his watch was accurate, he checked it again and then suddenly turned to look behind him. The scene! He looked back over his shoulder as Nomad continued on. Nate shrugged a sigh and hurried back to the alleyway. The popped another aspirin and closed his eyes, remembering the scene from before, getting a clear picture in his mind. Opening his eyes he compared the two. He whispered quietly to himself, a method he used to map out what he saw. "three were here.. -mumbles unintelligibly- quarter past.. tracks.... tracks would lead.... Right!" -he suddenly ran at full sprint, eyes staring hard at the ground. One was wounded, neither reptiles now insects healed quickly in the cold weather. It was faint but there was a blood trail to follow. Within moments, he was passing Nomad- "Come on, Old timer, The game is afoot! ... " did he really just say that?? UGH!

"Old man? Who are you calling an old man? I am not old.. well yeah I am but I have the uh.." He looked ahead to think, keeping his pace the same, "I have the body of a 10 year old.. well.. not exactly like a ten year old.." He said and stopped when he saw a pool of blood, there was something different about it. Then got up and started following the drops of blood, "Well come.."

The Nomad stopped, and watched as the man ran passed him, "Don't call me anything that deals with being old, boy." He said as he came to a full sprint, easily able to catch up with the man, he stopped when he saw a body, and cautiously walked over, it was the Racnoss, "Oi Nate! Over here." He said as the Time Lord kneeled down to the insect's level.
The insect looked at him and whispered something that the Nomad was somewhat able to catch and responded with, in the insects language, "Did the reptile do this to you?" He listened as it replied, "No? Oh the boy did? Who's idea was it to attack the boy?" He reached over and looked at the wound, no good, the insect was dying.

Nate came to kneel down beside Leo and eyed the dying insect and shook his head. He wanted to feel bad for it.. He really did. But it had assisted in taking the life of an innocent young man, and of course the others before the boy. He wanted to feel bad... but he just didn't.
He flipped up the collar of his trench coat, to keep the cold air off of his face. He listened to Leo speak to it in a language he wasn't even close to comprehending. He sniffed slightly as the cold air seeped into his skin.
The Time Lord looked to the man next to him as the insects body went limp, "It says that the reptile forced him into the hunt.." He told Nathaniel, "He's dead now.. let's go.." he said as The Nomad came to a stand looking around, "So the reptile is hiding inside this building.." He said as he looked along the wall for a door, it was dark out now so it was hard to see anything.
Running his hands along the frozen brick wall he came to a stop when he felt something like a door and tried the handle to find that the door was locked, "Ok.." The Nomad got out his sonic screwdriver and after finding the right frequency started working at getting the door unlocked, "Nate we cannot split up at all, you hear me?" he said and looked to the detective momentarily then back down to his work, repocketing his screwdriver the Time Lord took a cautious step inside.

Nate nodded silently. Although he really hoped he didnt have to use it, he checked to make sure his firearm was secure in it's holster under his arm. He drew in a slow breath and narrowed his eyes, following Leo inside. He said quietly to him. "I have a flashlight if you think we'll need it. Reptiles should be sensitive to bright light once in the darkness for a while. Might make a good stun if we find it".

The Nomad looked back to Nate, to make sure he was close by, "Yes.. Brilliant. We will need it." He said as he looked around them, tripping on a fallen chair, barely catching his balance to keep himself from falling. Breathing heavily he looked around, they can't use the light yet, it will let the reptile know the two of them are in the building if it is close by.
He moved away from the fallen chair with a side step, he looked to Nate and signalled with a nod that he was alright. Then looked to the right when he heard something, not a run, more like a fall and crawl. Slowly walking in the direction he saw it was just a fold up chair that was thrown on its side and dragged, "It's here in this room somewhere.."
Nate gritted his teeth annoyed. This was idiotic. They were standing in a nearly pitch black room unable to see and this thing was in here somewhere. He reached out his hand blindly to Leo until he found his shoulder and spoke quietly. He wasn't sure how good the Reptile's ability to hear was but he was going to at least to to keep his voice down "Leo... Close your eyes. I'm going to switch the light on to get us a lay out.. I only need to see it a for a second to guide you."
"Leo... Close your eyes. I'm going to switch the light on to get us a lay out.. I only need to see it a for a second to guide you."
Leo looked back to Nathaniel, without question he looked back ahead and closed his eyes, "Just make it fast Nate." He said, he was going to have a peek around as well though.
When the light was on he quickly looked around, then to Nate, "Did you see anything?" He asked the detective.
He flipped the light on, held it there for a second or two before flipping it back off to get a clear image of the layout in his head. if the reptilian had been looking their way, at the very least it was temporarily blinded. "About 12 feet ahead of us on the left. We're going to have to watch our step.. there's boxes everywhere." The warehouse looked like if have been used as a teen gang's hide out, there was graffiti all over the walls.
He reached over and gripped Leo's shoulder with a smirk in his voice "You ready, old man?" as he drew his gun. He hoped he wouldn't have to use it but he was not about to end up like that poor kid in the alley. "I'll lead if you like.. " He pointed to his temple as he looked at him "Got the layout memorized now"

"Alright.. let's avoid them then." The Time Lord replied, putting a hand in his pocket he got out his sonic screwdriver and scanned the room, the beeping told Leo that there was no other alien in the room. He stuffed the little device back into his pocket.

Leo gasped quietly when Nate gripped his shoulder, he caught the smirk and cocky tone in his voice, "Boy are you seriously trying to give me a heart attack?" He asked Nate as the Time Lord caught his breath, "And quit calling me old man.. then I will stop calling you boy." He nodded, "Alright you lead."
