The Nomad wondered around the pub, carrying his glass of water, being careful to not hit anyone or to spill his drink. He spotted a pool table, the Time Lord grinned and walked over, he is not too familiar yet with Earthy stuff he was feeling out going enough to make his first attempt at playing a game of pool.
He set the balls on top of the table, then picked up the triangular ring, after a moment of looking from the table to the ring he figured out what to do. He set the ring down onto the table and set the balls inside, having no clue as to what order the balls are meant to go it did not care at all. He then removed the ring and picked out a sick on the rack. Figuring that he was meant to hit the balls with it somehow moved around the table to a favored angle. After a moment of some quiet thinking he leaned down and aimed the slimmer end of the stick at the white ball, he made his shot, rather hard and sent the balls in different directions. Some made a soft clanging sound as they hit each other in protest before going in opposite directions.
He shrugged and made a 'not bad' expression before walking around to another angle and made another shot, but this time he missed and the white ball went into the pocket at the upper left corner from where he stood. He made a pained face and straightened himself before walking over to the pocket and reached in to get the white ball out.
The Time Lord was there waiting for something, there have been a string of killings lately, but none of them were human caused. They were not human at all. So he will wait around until one is about to, or does happen near or outside the pub.
Nate at the last seat set at the bar, a coke in the glass. He had yet to take a sip from it even though he had been sitting there a good thirty minutes. Most of the ice had melted, leaving him with a watery coke. He chewed absently on the straw as he stared in the mirror of the bar to observe behind him. He saw everything. It was his curse.
Everything was frozen like a photograph in his mind. He observed a young woman flirting with two older men who had obviously had more than they could handle to drink. The young girl had very muscular legs, a little too muscular. Her nose was a cute upturned round nose. A little too perfect... Surgery. She was making an extra effort to be effeminate with the hand gestures and the light tone. He shook his head with a chuckle. She was a 'He'. And he was determined to score tonight.
On the other side he noticed a young man was rubbing and scratching his arms, looking around nervously like he was waiting for someone. Another poor junkie waiting for his next fix. Nate just shook his head. But then someone in the mirror caught his attention. A young looking man awkwardly setting up the pool table. His brow arched as he struck the cue ball with the pool stick and seemed rather impressed with his first tap. He observed his body language, the man wasn't drunk, he just seemed... Out of place.
Nate stood and made his way over to the pool table, popping an asprin down, as his photographic memory gave him migraines. He removed his suit jacket and draped it over a near by chair and took up a pool cue and smirked at him curiously “Room for one more, mate?”
The Nomad just got the ball out of the pocket when he heard “Room for one more, mate?” Looking to his left he saw a.. very well dressed man standing there holding a pool cue. He set the ball on the table.
The Time Lord gestured to the table, "Be my guest." He said with a grin before picking his drink up and taking a sip before setting it back down. Glancing to the window he raised an eyebrow when he saw a human that he automatically saw as not a human.
But looked back to the man as he bent down to make his shot, erasing his current expression to make a more placid, poker face expression, picking up his glass again to take another sip.
Looking at the man that came over to play pool he studied him, to figure out what exactly kind of man Nathaniel is. But before he could get one thought as to this man he was looking at the Time Lord, "Did I do something wrong officer?" He asked innocently as he sat down on a stool, folding his hands together with the cue between, kicking at it with his foot.

Nathaniel looked up at him with a smirk before looking back down at the table, studying the balls. Time slowed down until it was a still photo in his mind and the table seemed to rotate as he analyzed his shot. A hard bank shot to the left side of the table, passing all the balls to hit hard into the 1 ball would send the one and the cue ball in opposite directions, The cue ball would then bank into a small group of four balls that were clustered together and send them in a four way split to sink them into the holes. the 1 ball, meanwhile went after a group of three balls in a loose cluster. The only ball that remained was the cue and the 7 ball. Nate seemed to have a look on his face of slight disappointment.. he'd meant to sink it.
He smirked up at the man and shook his head "Nah, Not in trouble.. Not yet.. But can I hazard a guess, you're not here to play pool?" He motioned his head back in a reverse nod in the direction Nomad was glancing a moment before. Nate rubbed his temple as a headache crept up on him and rolled his head to the side, a strange tick of his, frustrated his asprin was not doing it's job yet.

The Nomad looked in the direction, "Oh that was nothing, nothing at all.. no I am here to play pool. I find it rather enjoyable." The Time Lord was lying, "But then anyone in this room would have said the same thing you are saying.. some may say that I am here waiting to get laid.. but then again that could be what you are thinking too if I had the guts to say it." He paused for a moment, "Wait I did just say that.." He laughed lightly.
Picking up his pool cue he walked over to the table, reaching into the pocket he got the white ball out, setting it on the table he looked over at the man, "So.. from how your body language is.. young man, is that you are a cop, dominant in behavior... maybe in your job area as well and by the look on your face.. something is troubling you." The Nomad said, straightening himself for a moment before leaning back down and prepared to make his shot, making careful calculations of where to hit as well as all the possible out comes.
The Time Lord glanced up to see the man rub his temple, "Head ache?" He simply asked as he looked back down at the table.

Nate arched a brow at his last remark. Other than the brow shift, Nate seemed completely stoic, not even a lip twitch hinting that he actually found it slightly amusing. Nate DID actually have a sense of humor somewhere under those defensive layers of standoffish personality quirks.

Nate immediately changed the subject. He wasn't one to talk about himself. His partner, Will, had known him nearly six years, and very rarely did Nate's personal life enter the conversation. "Just be careful. You dont look like you're from around here so I'm just offering a heads up. People have been going missing or turning up dead around this area."
Nate craned his head to the side again, that odd tick of his. Something didn't feel right and he couldn't tell if it was the man before him or someone else. Nate glanced over his shoulder again, still chewing on the straw. His hand went up to rub his temple once more.
The Time Lord glanced up to see the man rub his temple, "Head ache?" He simply asked as he looked back down at the table.
Nate answered, not even thinking about it, almost not realizing he'd even been asked as he surveyed the pub. "One of the side effects of a Photographic memory." His eyes darted around the room. Something was out of place. The junkie. He was missing but he had left his jacket draped on the chair. He'd met his fair share of druggies and when money and possessions were hard to come by, one didn't just leave their belongings laying around. They were precious. He let off a quick sigh and snatched up his jacket.
He did a light jog up to the bar and motioned to the bar tender. The young man shot him a concerned look and nodded in understanding. The young bar tender reached under the bar and handed Nathaniel his twin underarm holsters. Two guns strapped firmly in place. He slipped the holsters on and slipped his suit jacket on over them.
Nate offered a glance over at the stranger at the pool table and nodded to him. It was as if to apologize for cutting the conversation short, but something important needed to be handled.

"Oh.. maybe it is you that is not around here and I am." He said as the Time Lord made his shot, getting his desired ball into the pocket then walked around and made another shot, "Oh? Any idea who or what the killer is? Are they alien? Human? Suicides?" He asked as he made another but missed his target, something that he rarely does.

The Time Lord waved his hand to say bye, then looked around as he put his pool cue away. Getting out his sonic screwdriver out of his pocket as he made his way to the fire door. Sonicing the alarm he temporarily disabled it and slipped out into the alley. Looking both ways he headed deeper into the alley. Looking down he saw there were strange wet spots, like drips from something that has been injured, "Hmmm.. Strange.." He said as the Time Lord came across the dead body of a young man, there was fear in his dead eyes. The Time Lord kneeled down and observed that he was holding a bloodied knife, but the blood was not human.
Reaching over he carefully moved the head to the side to see there were deep gash and bite marks, "What attacked you? It does not look like a Weevil, Hath or a Blowfish.." He looked behind him to see the same cop from before, but there was someone else with him, "Oh hello there.." The Time Lord said before turning his attention to the drops of blood, "The killer is definitely not a human.. better head back to my ship.." He whispered as he took a small sample of the alien blood.

Nate eyed the man for a moment. The look on his face was neither confusion nor accusation. No point in accusation because he was playing pool with this man not 20 minutes ago. He hadn't the time to commit anything. The confusion was out of the question because he had a sneaking suspicion that something... otherworldly was going on. No.. the look on Nate's face was more a look of "Oh God, not another one" looking at Nomad.
He looked at the young man laying motionlessly on the floor with a sigh, looking over the scene. "Bite marks to the side of the neck? should also be some deep lacerations on the upper torso. The last six victims had the same wounds." There was a pause in his statement as he looked at Nomad once more. "Sorry, dont think we've been propperly introduced.. Detective Nathaniel Cross. " He put his hand into his inner jacket's pocket and showed his I.D. and badge. "You looking in on the case as well?"

The Time Lord looked at the injuries, "Two sets of bite marks..." Then looked at the torso region, "Deep gash marks.. and.." he looked to the back side of the body, "Some gash marks to the back side.. my guess is that there were two of them this time.." He said as he laid the body back down. The Nomad came to a stand.
"Sorry, dont think we've been propperly introduced.. Detective Nathaniel Cross. " He put his hand into his inner jacket's pocket and showed his I.D. and badge. "You looking in on the case as well?"
The Nomad reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet, he opened it, yeah it was psychic paper but usually people see what the Time Lord wants them to see. It showed a detective badge in it, "You can call me Leo.. Leo McCollen, Special Operations.." he said and repocketed his wallet. He lifted the vile of blood that he collected, squinting as he looked at it, "Definitely not another human that is doing the crimes.." He was sorting through memory of aliens to see what had the weaponry to attack someone so violently.
He pocketed the vile, still deep in thought, he forgot to bag the vile, obviously if anyone is paying attention they will be able to tell that he was not a real detective, "So.. now this is seven victims.. and like all the others the murderer got away but.. this time his target was armed.. so did each of the victims know that they were a target? Because this lad was armed with a knife."
But when he looked at the boy's arms he noticed something, walking over he got back down and turned both arms over, "There are bite marks to the same wrist he was holding the knife in the hand of.." The Nomad mentioned, more of to himself as he stood back up, crossing his arms.

Nate Stared at the 'badge' for a moment and couldn't help but smirk. After traveling will The Goddess for nearly two years, he had learned to tell the difference. But he just quietly nodded and stuffed his hands into his pants pockets.
He lifted the vile of blood that he collected, squinting as he looked at it, "Definitely not another human that is doing the crimes.." He was sorting through memory of aliens to see what had the weaponry to attack someone so violently.
Nate listened quietly as Leo pondered quietly over the details before quietly adding in "And it's not any animal. No wild dog would leave marks like that. " He ran his fingers through his short but messy hair, as he too seemed deep in thought.
"None of the other victims seemed to have been armed. No, I observed this young man in the pub. He seemed to waiting for someone. That knife was probably meant for someone else. "
He looked over his shoulder to observe the layout of the alleyway. There had been a struggle, and from what he could tell, the assailant had come up from behind, attacked, and from the shuffling of shoe marks on the ground, the young man had backed against the wall trying to get his attacker off of him.
He then noticed a third set of prints, as though coming to the aid of the first attacker. That was when he noticed a spatter of blood on the wall, that must have been when the young man stabbed his second attacker. Nate pulled on a pair of latex gloves and gently touched the blood and brought it up to his eyes to look closely.
"Leo, Over here!" he called, pointing out the second blood spatter. "This attack JUST happened. But this blood looks to already be coagulating. See how it's begun to dry out?" Nate curled his fingers inward as he pulled off the glove, leaving the blood sample inside the sterile glove.
"No.. The attacker is certainly not human..." Nate then looked Leo right in his eyes and calmly stated, as though this statement wasn't out of place as all "And unless you have a TARDIS nearby with a lab to analyze alien blood samples, That phial of yours is useless"

Leo walked over and knelt down by the new pool of blood, watching as the detective saved the blood on the glove, using the glove like its own vile, reaching over he dabbed at it with his fingers, letting it run over, rubbing his thumb through the blood, "Interesting.. sticky.. means we have an insect.. maybe a reptile..." He whispered to himself, putting a hand to his chin as he thought. Looking at the blood, "Never seen either of those on this planet for years.. so why now?" He whispered to himself.
"No.. The attacker is certainly not human..." Nate then looked Leo right in his eyes and calmly stated, as though this statement wasn't out of place as all.
The Nomad kept staring at the blood on his fingers as he got another vile out and carefully scooped the blood into his fingers. Then brought out the other vile and looked at the two vials, "Oh... hmm.."
"And unless you have a TARDIS nearby with a lab to analyze alien blood samples, That phial of yours is useless"
The Time Lord arched an eye brow, made a nervous smirk or grin and looked at Nathanial with a 'how did you know?' and 'better come up with something quick' look, "What? What is a TARDIS? I never heard of one? Are you sure you are not imagining what I am doing? What makes you think I am some person with this TARDIS? Maybe someone slipped something into your cola that is making you hallucinate whatever it is you are thinking that I am what ever it is you are thinking mate." The Nomad stuffed the vials into his pockets, "Maybe I am not what you are thinking and am just a no body doing a terrible job at pretending to be a big bad detective." The Nomad said without a moment to catch his breath or to even bother if the man was able to keep up, maybe he was planning into getting the detective into thinking that he is some sort of nut case.
The Time Lord saw that he was not falling for it and gave him a stern look, "And you did not fall for it." The Time Lord said with a small defeated look, "Yes I do have a TARDIS.." He said as the Nomad jumped to his feet, "This way.." He said as he turned around and bumped into a crate and fell backwards. Getting up he looked at it with squinted eyes, "Very bad TARDIS, how many times have I told you not to do that?" He asked the ship that appeared to be a crate to everyone else and gave the Time Lord stares of 'is he drunk?'.
The Time Lord opened the 'crate' and stepped inside, after a few seconds he popped his head out, "Well get in here!" With that his head vanished back into the crate.

Well, Nate certainly had to admit, Leo's TARDIS had hidden itself amazingly well. He had been standing beside it nearly fifteen minutes and never noticed it. It took him a moment to remember that that's what a TARDIS was designed to do was to hide as the most mundane inconspicuous thing that fit that area and time line.
When Leo poked his head back out and barked for Nate to get inside, he could only arch a brow. Anyone else would have chuckled, but Nate was often accused of being a Stoic. Showing no emotions. He stepped inside and looked around, While layout was similar, the overall design was nothing like the last TADRIS he'd been in. And he'd only ever been in one, so he wasn't sure if that was normal or not.
Nate closed the door behind him and went to find Leo. "I would have to agree with the 'Reptile' theory. The jagged bite and the claw marks.. Plus with how quickly the blood dried, I'm guessing our assailant is cold blooded."

The Nomad was at the central control console, messing with buttons and levers like a kid in a toy section of a store before coming to a stop and started messing with a specific set of buttons, then pulled the computer screen around to him, leaning over and around the corner to reach it, "You are 50% correct Nate.. you do not mind if I call you Nate right? Any ways, one of the attackers was a reptile, the other, the second puddle was that of a insect."
Taking his jacket off The Nomad lazily tossed it to the couch, which the jacket landed just short of. The Time Lord was too busy with the controls and the running of his test to notice, "Alright.." He whispered as he looked closer to the test results, "Yep! One is definitely reptile and the other is an insect.." The Time Lord crossed his arms, "Why would an insect and a reptile work together? Unless.. the Insect is being forced into it..." He said more of to himself as he leaned against the central control console, "Find where they are from.." He said as he ran around to the other side, messing with controls, "Where is the computer screen? Oh yeah.." He said before reaching over and pulling the screen around to him.
Nate began to feel a little better knowing he wasn't going insane having traveled two years with a woman who called herself a time lord. He deduced that Leo was one as well. Because according to the last one, only the Time Lords had a TARDIS.
He stepped up behind and slightly to the side of Leo and looked at the monitor as well. When it came to things alien or other worldly, Nate was out of his league, but that didn't mean he wasn't observant and helpful. He chuckled as Leo whizzed about the controls, the other one did the same thing. Perhaps it was a racial trait to seem almost manic.
"You are 50% correct Nate.. you do not mind if I call you Nate right?"
"Not at all.. " It was better than being called Sherlock.. he would probably garrote the next person the call him that.
"Any ways, one of the attackers was a reptile, the other, the second puddle was that of a insect."
"I take it that's not normal? Even by earth habits, reptiles usually prey on insects."
"Why would an insect and a reptile work together? Unless.. the Insect is being forced into it..."
Nate just watched the man work, curiously. Very skilled, with deft hands but with mannerisms that bordered on slightly scatterbrained. He could only chuckle. The man was mad as a hatter but just as crafty. He signed softly and leaned over, just behind Leo, and looked up at the monitor. He was curious and wanted a good look at the one who had been going on a killing spree
"I take it that's not normal? Even by earth habits, reptiles usually prey on insects."
"Even on other planets you never see insects or reptiles working together.. usually the two of them together means that one will become the dinner." The Nomad told the man as he worked some more controls, "It's just figuring what they are..." He said, resting hand on the console as he started at the computer screen, "Would you say the bites to the neck were more spider like or reptile?" He asked, if he was told spider then it can only mean the bite is that of a Racnoss and the other of some reptile alien... what ever that one was, the Time Lord was still working that out.
"Great.. a Androvax as well.. what a combo!" The Nomad yelled, "Two enemies and ruthless beings.. got to find them for sure." He said as he sprinted over to the couch expecting to find his jacket there, "Oh.." He said as the Time Lord found it on the floor and picked it up, dusting it off before slipping it on as he walked back over to the computer for one last look, "Come on then.." he said as the Nomad headed over to the door.
The Time Lord wasted no time and stepped out of the TARDIS, which was still disguised as a crate, "Well come on!" he yelled at Nate as he waited outside, "The results of that test are not going to change at all.. better get a move on." He looked around and saw that everything was cleaned up.
