“Yeah, well, good,” Aixa said venomously. “Good thing I didn’t pour my soul out to your lifeless corpse, then. I mean, not like you scared me or anything. Yeah, no big deal, just my master being shot by a ruthless creature from Hell!” he snapped, his arms flailing wildly. “A-and… and… I was worried, so… just don’t get shot again, okay?” he said with a small frown.
"E-even.. if it did kill me. I would have just regenerated." He groaned as the Time Lord struggled to stand. He was relieved that Aixa walked over to help.
Julia nodded, "Nice to meet you Aixa." She looked to Nomad, "How are you going to take care of the Daleks in your state? You can barely stand." She yelled.
Leo shook his head, "If push comes to shove I will have to regenerate." He said as the Time Lord reached into his pocket and got out the same device he used to send the Dalek that shot him to the void, "I need to make a big one of these.. one Dalek that touches it.. will send them all back.. er.. well if it works the way I plan."
Julia shook her head, "We do not have anything that can build anything like that."
Nomad frowned, "All I need is one Dalek armor shell and a computer... and some help getting it together."
She raised an eyebrow, "I do not think it will work."
He gazed at her, "Of all times.. after what I have showed you and done you choose now to doubt me?"
Julia crossed her arms, "You are dangerous Nomad, didn't you learn your lesson during the Time War?"
Leo sighed, "If I do not send them back now.. then this whole universe will be wiped out.." He looked to Aixa, "Let's find a large enough chamber.." He signaled to head down to the left, then saw the Dalek armor aixa used, "Oh.. brilliant!" he said excitedly as he suddenly made his way over and looked through, "It's in here somewhere.." Then got a few parts out, "Yes!" The Nomad pocketed them and got back on his feet with some struggle, he realized that he may just have to regenerate first.
Aixa smiled in response in to Julia, too busy trying to make sure Nommie didn’t fall flat on his face at the moment. It’s not a killing wound. Honestly. The nerve of some Time Lords. “If push comes to shove I will have to regenerate,” the Time Lord said. Aixa frowned and shook his head. If push came to shove, Aixa would be the one to die. It was a Djinn’s job to protect their masters. That’s what they had been created to do. To serve.
“I need to make a big one of these… one Dalek that touches it… will send them all back.. er.. well if it works the way I plan.”
Aixa nodded. “I’ll help you in whatever way I can,” he said cheerfully, looking over at Julia for her response. The girl, however, didn’t seem exactly thrilled with the idea. His smile slipped as he observed her, pale blue eyes calculating. She did not seem very trusting – his master was a genius. He could find something.

Aixa perked up cheerfully. “I know where you can ge—“

There she goes again- Little Miss Optimism. “But I’ve got a—“
“Of all times… after what I have showed you and done you choose now to doubt me?”
Ouch, those words had to hurt. Aixa knew he would feel guilty if the Nomad had ever said that to him. He nestled a little closer to the Time Lord, grinning rather smugly at the contact. “Yes, but you see, I’ve—”
“You are dangerous Nomad, didn’t you learn your lesson during the Time War?”
His master had been in a war? A War of Time? “He’s not dangerous,” he said defensively. “And anyway, I know where you can g—“
Leo cut him off again. Aixa shut his mouth, waiting silently for the man to kindly shut up. He opened his mouth after a brief pause from the Nomad. “Oh… brilliant!” he said cheerfully, walking over the armor shell that Aixa had been trying to point out.
“You’re welcome,” he grumbled, still trying to help Leo. He was very concerned for his master. It was obvious that the man was in pain, but there wasn’t much that Aixa could do. He hadn’t developed his full healing powers yet, and wouldn’t for another few thousand years. “I’m sorry…”
The Nomad looked to Aixa and instantly knew that he was the one that brought the Dalek armor shell, "You my friend are brilliant." He said with a grin. Which vanished as he gripped his side, placing a hand on the Dalek shell to prop himself up, "We better get moving.. the Daleks should be coming down this corridor any moment." The Time Lord told them.
Julia looked down one way and the other way of the corridor they were in, "Are you sure?"
"Of course I am sure Julia. Now make yourself useful and lead the way to the main chamber or get out of here!" He yelled, "Aixa will you please help me up?" He asked as he looked to the Djinn.
He was obviously upset about how Julia was behaving, it was the total opposite of how she used to act, positive, helpful.. now she is none of that.. The Time Lord shook his head at the thought, "You have disappointed me Julia." He said as The Nomad looked from her to Aixa.
Aixa grinned at the praise and made a sound akin to a purr. “Thank you, Nommie,” he said with a slightly smug glance towards Julia. It’s not that he was jealous; it was that… well, sure. He was jealous. He didn’t like the man’s attention being captured by someone else. But that wasn’t such a bad thing, was it? His ears perked as the Nomad told them that they should get going. Aixa nodded. “Well I just came from there and there seemed to be a lot of them.”
“Are you sure?”
Aixa sighed and was prepared to tell her politely that he was sure, but the Nomad erupted him beside him. “Of course I am sure Julia. Now make yourself useful and lead the way to the main chamber or get out of here!”
The Djinn widened his eyes and looked between Julia and the Nomad. He helped the Time Lord up quickly, keeping an arm around his waist as the Nomad told Julia he was disappointed in her. Aixa steadied the Nomad and shifted forms into a horse, kneeling down beside his master. “Here,” he said helpfully.

The Time Lord groaned quietly as the Djinn helped him to his feet, he glanced at Julia then back to Aixa as he steadied the Time Lord and shifted into the form of a horse, what a fantastic life force, never in his travels has he come across something so spectacular, so beautiful, "Thank you Aixa.." The Nomad said as he gently climbed on.
He positioned himself so that he was steady and would injure the Djinn's back or cause any sort of pain or discomfort. He looked to see Julia walking in a direction that he and Aixa were not going to head, he shook his head sadly, "Alright.. let's get going my friend." He said quietly as he pressed his hand to his wound.
Aixa exposed his teeth in an attempt to grin. It looked rather menacing coming from a horse, but the intention was still there. "No problem," he said, pleased about the Nomad's appreciation for him. He casted his eyes rather smugly in Julia's direction, but the girl had already turned around and was walking where he had told her not to go. They would, of course, eventually be going for the Daleks, but now Aixa had to get the Nomad back to the TARDIS to garner the supplies. Surely there was a medical facility or at least a first-aid kit. He may not have been the handiest djinn, but he could apply a bandage in a pinch. Once he'd even given stitches to one of his masters, but that was long ago in a war that he tried not to think too much about.
He wished Charlemagne was the only death by his hands.
Once the Nomad was on his back, he straightened and proceeded down the corridor. It was strange to have someone riding on his back, but it didn't particularly hurt. He breathed out a mist of pale blue. The cloud wafted over towards the Nomad, entering his mouth and nose. It wouldn't help at all with the wound, unfortunately, but Aixa hoped it would at least help with the pain. With the amount of force the Dalek had shot at him as a falcon, it was obvious that the Dalek who had shot at the Nomad was not trying to kill him.
"I'm sorry about Julia," the horse said quietly, the hooves clicking down the corridor rhythmically. "I know she meant a lot to you." It was an unfortunate truth, Aixa reflected, that everyone changes but not always for the better.

There was a blue mist that entered through the Nomad's nose and mouth, some seconds after he felt the pain starting to ease. He sighed with relief in regards to the pain easing up, "Thank you again Aixa." He said with a grin.

"Dah I had a feeling she was going to turn out that way after what she experienced with me... well.. not what I did to her, just what she saw during the three trips I allowed her to travel with me." He found that the rhythmic beat of the hooves were making him feel rather sleepy, "Surprisingly I did not have a good friendship with her." He told the Djinn.
Looking ahead he could see where he parked his ship, at least if it is still there.
The horse remained quiet. It was his job to make his master’s life easier. And if the Nomad needed some pain relief, then it was Aixa’s job to provide the relief from the pain. He’d been doing it since his first master – Charlemagne. But Charlemagne had met his demise not entirely caused by a ‘natural acquisition’ of disease. Leo knew about that… not that Aixa had voluntarily given out that information, but to be fair, Leo hadn’t voluntarily given out the information of the Daleks or the destruction of his homeworld. Or anything, really. He seemed to be a private person.
Aixa didn’t like to open up very much about his life either. He would share amusing anecdotes and sometimes he bragged about flirting with Chaucer, but he kept the others close to his heart. He didn’t share how he tried to drown his brother’s master in peanut oil because he felt that Shezzy was too good for him. He didn’t even talk about Shezaan to anyone. They had lost touch nearly two centuries ago…
“Dah I had a feeling she was going to turn out that way after what she experienced with me… well.. not what I did to her, just what she saw during the three rips I allowed her to travel with me.” Aixa nodded his head, continuing to walk towards the ship. It was in his sight now, and he picked up the pace. “Surprisingly I did not have a good friendship with her.”
Aixa made a ‘hm’ noise, indicating his interest to the Time Lord. “You certainly talked about her as though she were a good friend,” Aixa said thoughtfully, stopping next to Leo’s TARDIS. He transformed into a human and caught Leo in his arms briefly, making sure that the Time Lord didn’t fall to the ground. Aixa wrapped Leo’s arm around his shoulder as he walked to the TARDIS.

"Well she was.. a good friend." Leo said. Then the Djinn came to a stop and transformed to his human form, Leo's knees buckled but he was thankfully caught by his friend, "I am not sure of what to think of her now.." He admitted as the Djinn wrapped the Time Lord's arm around his shoulder. With his free hand he reached into his pocket for the key and got it out, "We will see what she is like afterwards..." He said as Leo stuck the key into the lock and unlocked the door, using his foot he kicked it opened.
Once they were inside, he leaned against the central control console, he pressed a few buttons when his knees gave out again, "Darn it.." He groaned as he straightened himself and went back to working.
Wasn’t that always how it worked? Friends separated, grew apart, and years later meet and wonder what to think of each other. He felt a small feeling of discomfort and nausea as he thought about his twin brother. They had been separated for a very long time… would they grow apart? His free hand felt at his throat, imagining the djinn’s Lamp. “Oh,” he said uneasily, looking away as the Nomad opened the TARDIS doors. Aixa wanted desperately to return to Earth – there was no point in fighting with the Daleks if it was only going to result in his death, right?
It was Aixa’s job to protect his master. And he couldn’t very well do that job if the Nomad insisted upon doing stupid and dangerous things. Why not let that stupid little girl handle it? (Although she had seemed smarter than him…) He brushed away the insecurity, helping Leo anxiously over to the control panel and backed away sheepishly. But if he said anything, he would be like Julia, wouldn’t he? He shut his eyes, following the Nomad as he stumbled around the controls.
“Let me help you,” he said, stepping behind Leo and wrapping his arms around the man’s chest, holding him up gently. “There,” Aixa told him, resting his chin on Leo’s shoulder and nuzzling him gently. “Just tell me what to do and I’ll do it.”

Leo blushed lightly, "Thank you Aixa.." He said with some stutter, "I think I know how to send the Daleks back to the void from in here.. maybe.. if it will work." He said, "First.. thing.." He said as he shoved his hand into his pocket and got the same device from before out, "We need this outside with a long wire attached to the control console, then one Dalek to be beamed back and the rest will follow.. at least if it will work that way.." The Time Lord told the Djinn.
Really the Time Lord hoped it will be that easy but then it will just need to be tested out but then it will also only be a one time shot.
“Thank you, Aixa,” Leo said. A mischievous smile spread on Aixa’s lips as he noticed the blush and the stutter in Nomad’s voice. He nonchalantly pressed closer and rested his lips against the Nomad’s neck. He shut his eyes and sighed against his neck, rather wishing he was not holding the Time Lord hostage. Still, good company was good company. And who said he could not have a bit of fun with his master? No one did, that’s who. After all it wasn’t as though he were going to let it culminate into anything other than a very teased and flustered man.
“No problem,” he purred, his thumb gently moving in circles around the Nomad’s chest, the light blue mist reentering Leo’s nose and mouth. Another helpful pain reliever, and if Leo wasn’t too concerned with the pain then it’d be easier for Aixa to play.
“I think I know how to send the Daleks back to the voice from in here…maybe…if it will work…”
Aixa stood straighter, his lips brushing Leo’s ear. “Oh?”
The Djinn’s pale blue eyes were lit up mirthfully. “First…thing…” the Nomad continued, digging into his pocket. Aixa grinned against the man’s ear and trailed his hand down to the outside of the pocket, still supporting the Nomad with his free hand.
“Are multi-dimensional pockets very common among your people, Leo?” he questioned, putting a light emphasis on the Time Lord’s name.
“We need this outside with a long wire attached to the control console, then one Dalek to be beamed back and the rest will follow,” the Nomad explained as Aixa did his best to fluster the Time Lord playfully. But it was time to get back to work, much to Aixa’s disappointment. The Djinn pressed a small kiss to the Nomad’s shoulder and set him down on the floor, crouching in front of him.
“I’ll do it,” he said, rubbing the Nomad’s nose with his own for an eskimo kiss. He took the device from the Nomad and looked around for the wire.
The Time Lord blushed darkly in response to how Aixa was holding and treating him.
“Are multi-dimensional pockets very common among your people, Leo?” he questioned, putting a light emphasis on the Time Lord’s name.
"Uh.. you have to make them yourself.. I can make you one if you like.." Leo looked at the Djinn, "It would be my pleasure." He said shyly.

The Time Lord smirked and rubbed his nose back, "I will talk you through it." He said with a grin, he was thankful that he had a friend like Aixa with him, "It will be a loose wire that is close to the energy core. One end with be attached and then a free end." Leo told him.
Aixa smiled at the blush. It was adorable. He squeezed him gently for a hug, grinning against his neck. “Uh…” the Nomad said, sounding embarrassed. Aixa ran his hand under Leo’s shirt, his fingers brushing the skin lightly as he gave the man another small dose of his energy. He wished he could just take away all the pain permanently – make him better, make him healthy. “You have to make them yourself…” Leo continued. Aixa pouted, nuzzling his master. “I can make you one if you like.” Aixa grinned and Leo looked at him shyly. “It would be my pleasure.”
The djinn’s eyes darkened slightly and Aixa licked his own lips. “Your pleasure, huh?” he teased as he set the man down on the floor. “I’d say that could be arranged,” Aixa said quietly. He rubbed their noses together gently and, to his surprise, Leo reciprocated the eskimo kiss with a smirk. Aixa pulled back with a blush of his own.
Concentrate. “I will talk you through it.”
Aixa nodded and returned the grin, listening carefully to the instructions. “It will be a loose wire that is close to the energy core,” he said. Aixa wandered around until finding the wire. It was attached to what Aixa presumed to be the ‘energy core’. He made his way to the end of the wire and connected it to the device. It blinked in his hands and the Djinn nearly dropped it from fear of being sucked into the Void.
But it didn’t happen, so he gave Leo a dirty stare for not warning him it’d scare him.
“What now? Do I put it outside?” he asked, taking the device and wire carefully over to the TARDIS doors.

“What now? Do I put it outside?” he asked, taking the device and wire carefully over to the TARDIS doors.
"Yeah you will put it outside, then just have the door open enough to see the Daleks coming from the direction the device is aimed in.." Leo replied as he watched Aixa, he hated the fact that his friend was doing everything for him. It made the Time Lord feel useless.
