Jack smiled warmly at Ianto as the other man took his coat. He took a grateful sip of the bracing coffee. "Perfect coffee," Jack said with a smile. "As always."
He handed over the bag of food before helping Jenny down off the platform. He looked back to the Welshman, giving him an appreciative glance. He noted the nice suit, well kept appearance.
"Dinner in the conference room?" Jack asked as he started in that direction himself. "We'll have a nice long chat over food."
Indeed someone did materialize from the depths of this little underground world. “Hello,” Jenny said brightly in response to the man’s greeting. “Oh, coffee would be fantastic thanks,” Jenny said… having no idea what it was but ready to try new things. "If it's no trouble," she added.
After Jack helped Jenny down from the platform her eyes were once again scanning the place in interest. In many ways it reminded her of home, but bigger, cleaner, and with less fallen debris. Jenny followed Jack to the conference room while she continued to look on, her inquisitive nature having a virtual feast for the eyes.
‘A nice long chat,’ it sounded like a great idea. Maybe she could learn a lot more from these humans, though she was positive they would be trying to learn a lot from her as well. But that was fine with Jenny. She had nothing to hide from these people, or anyone in fact. “Sounds great,” Jenny said.

Ianto did his best to ignore the little rush of pride at the mention of the coffee from Jack, and gave Jenny a warmer smile. “No trouble at all. I'll fetch it for you once we get you situated.”
Nodding his approval at the choice of dinner location the brunet led the way to the conference room. He had to admit that it is amusing how many of the team's 'long chats' occur over a meal around the spacious table. With practiced ease Ianto set everything out and stepped back. “Now about your coffee. Would you like any milk or sugar?”
Jack smiled at Ianto as the Welshman set out their food. He helped a little as Jenny sat at the table. "You know, I can help with that," he said softly. He leaned over and kissed Ianto quickly behind Jenny's head. He gave the other man a small smile as he moved get out the paperwork they would need to get Jenny settled in if she wanted to say on Earth, and so they would have a record of her visit. He also made sure he pulled out the pen Ianto had gotten him recently, he loved the feel of the grip in his hand and the way the other man usually blushed when he saw Jack using it.
She wasn’t positive, but there seemed to be something between these two. Something unspoken, but it hung heavily in the air like static electricity, or sound waves, something that you could almost reach up and grab a hold of. It was almost tangible… curious…
Jenny followed the two men into the conference room and she took a seat at the rather large table. Jenny grinned at Ianto, “sugar please,” she said as she settled into the chair. She watched with interest as Jack busied himself with gathering some papers together and he seemed reminisce as he pulled out a writing instrument.
She supposed that now would be about the time that she would soon get bombarded with all sorts of questions, questions that she hoped she could give satisfactory answers too.
Ianto made a vague, politely dismissive gesture as Jack mentioned helping. “That's hardly necessary, Sir-” He had hoped to keep up appearances with Jenny about and all. He didn't want to chance making her uncomfortable her first time around them but the Captain blows that idea out of the water with a kiss and simple gestures. It is all the Welshman can do not to blush furiously and keep his composure. With a nod and a kind smile Ianto stepped out to get the coffee for Jenny. After he poured the cup and added a fair amount of sugar, and a bit of cream, he returned to the other two. “Here you are,” as he set the cup before Jenny Ianto added, “it is quite hot still. I hope you don't mind I went ahead and added a bit of cream. We like our coffee very strong here.”
Jack smiled at Ianto as he flexed his hand, preparing for the paperwork. "Strong's the best way to have your coffee though. But... someone that's never had coffee might find it a little overwhelming. At least, at first," Jack said. "So, Jenny. We need to write down and process all the basics. Name, age, height, weight, species, reasons for visiting Earth. Then we'll need to make you a back story and identification so you can visit around without drawing suspicion."
Jack looked thoughtful for a few moments. "And we'll need a blood sample, fingerprints, and to give you a cell phone," he held his own up as an example. "That way you won't need an escort all the time. You can just call if you get lost. Sound good?"
“Oh, that's fine,” Jenny replied to Ianto as he placed the coffee on the table. She looked at the steaming hot drink before her in curiosity before she carefully reached for the cup and tentatively lifted it into her hands. The cup was warm, very warm, which was a good indicator that the contents were indeed very hot. Slowly, she brought the cup to her lips and took a sip. ‘Oh, this is good,’ she thought. A smile brightening her face once more, “perfect,” she said looking up at Ianto.
Jenny looked at Jack as he spoke, her head tilting slightly in thought, “Jenny, thirteen and a half months, 5’4”, 115lbs, Time Lord… fun?” She said with a grin, “Yes, it sounds good. It will make it easier to see everything.” And Jenny had every intension of seeing everything on this planet Earth.
This time, the Welshman didn't ignore the heady little rush that often came with the coffee compliment. With a small laugh he beamed at Jenny. “I try my best.” Ianto glanced over to Jack before he nodded in agreement. “I believe we have a few mobiles that are currently inactive in Tosh's desk, you know how she loves keeping every bit of technology.”
Ianto's eyebrows threatened to make a run for his hairline as he listened to Jenny list her stats. He took a seat on the opposite side of Jack, across from their guest. “That all sounds good and well however we will have to lie about your age. At least outside of Torchwood records.”
Jack laughed a little and looked over at Jenny with a wink.
"Don't worry about the needing to lie about your age. I do. I'm a bit older than I look," he said. "I'm actually over one hundred. But that's not something we need to worry about right now. I'm thinking we'll say she's about 23. Sound good? Yeah, you can go ahead and finish it up. I'll go grab the phone. Something fairly simple to start with, I think..." he said as he handed over the papers he'd been working on.
Jenny listened to the two of them as they discussed what they believed to be the best course of action for her on their world. She would learn to blend in with the populous, she would learn all there was to know about this planet… She thought as Jack mentioned his age. “You definitely have aged well Jack,” Jenny said smiling. “Yeah, it sounds good.”…she would learn how to use a pen, Jenny suddenly realized as Jack pushed the papers towards her.
She looked at them curiously and picked up the pen awkwardly. Thinking back to how Jack had held it, how he placed the pen to paper and wrote upon the papers surface. She looked down at the handwriting already there. Analyzing the exact trajectory, the exact pressure and angle of the strokes, and she began to write for the first time in her life. She started to complete the filling out of the papers slowly, precisely… in Jack’s own handwriting.
Ianto smiled, giving Jenny a knowing look. “He does look good for an old man. Very, very old man.” The Welshman opened up one of the little take away boxes, about to offer Jenny something when he paused. Glancing over at her writing Ianto blinked at it owlishly before shaking his head and checking again. It's the same as Jack's, the exact same, right down to the odd little flourish to the j's. “Jack...”

Owen Harper, a dead man walking as he called it, came strolling into the Torchwood hub entrance, looking to where Ianto should be... wait, Ianto is not there? Maybe he is having some sweet time with Captain Jack Harkness.. Wait no because he called Owen. As the Doctor recalled, there is a Time Lord that Jack supposedly came across. Owen had a hard time believing that there was another Time Lord as the only one that is on record is a Time Lord that went by the name of The Doctor. Just how can there be another Time Lord? The only other was The Master, how many more are there out there? Owen thought as he made his way to the elevator.
Owen has never met a Time Lord, he blew that chance during 'Space Pig' when he was too drunk to come to work. Not that Owen cared, there were lots of aliens out there and surely plenty on Earth that winded up being chased by this bandwagon in Cardiff or they lived peacefully and unnoticed by Torchwood.
Owen Harper dropped his jacket onto his chair and looked around, "Alright where is this 'Time Lord' Jack? Is it in the cell or do I have to go and catch it?" He yelled out obnoxiously, he crossed his ice cold arms together as he waited for a response.
"Is anyone here?" He yelled out as Owen made his way to the autopsy room, he then sprinted back up the stairs as he put his decorated lab coat on, "Hello?"

Jack laughed and waggled his eyebrows at the Welshman. "If I'm an old man, that must make you a cub. Are you a cub, Ianto? Chasing after the older men? At least I take good care of myself. And you know I know how to take care of you. Been around the block a few times..." He looked over Jenny's shoulder and notice the handwriting with a bit of surprise. He shook his head and moved onward.
He turned as he heard the call from Owen and sighed. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes as he popped his head out of the conference room and saw the undead doctor. "We're up here, Owen. And you should look around before you start yelling for people. Now get up here. Or get to work. We have a guest. Remember your manners."
Jenny had to agree that Jack did indeed look good for a very old man.
Jenny was focused on the paper as she continued to fill it out. It was something new for her and she wanted to get it right; her writing becoming faster as she worked. She noted Ianto stating Jacks name but she paid it little mind. Her mind registering what sounded like good natured bantering between the two of them. She paid very little mind to anything accept what she was doing until a new voice chimed in her ears.
It was yet another male voice, coming from somewhere within the bowels of the complex. “I better not be in a cell, and you are going to have to be much stealthier than that to catch me,” she muttered under her breath amusedly, I really, really hated cells, especially being in them, she thought. Answering the final questions she then looked up at Jack. “So, what’s next?” As the voice called out again, much closer this time, Jenny put the pen down on the paper and looked towards the door curiously.
