Yvie shook her head curiously "I dont think I've even heard of it. What kind of place is it? Is it here on earth? Do we have to travel far to get there? Can I push one of the buttons?" she asked excitedly, again with the rapid fire questions.
The Nomad looked at her, "How about.." He began as he set his glass back down, "I surprise you?" The Time Lord said, "Let's say you will love it Magpie." Nomad smiled at the child and laughed a little, "I will let you press some of the buttons." He said with a grin.
Yvie's eyes went wide with joy at his permission to touch the console of the TARDIS. She leaned over and kissed his cheek and hopped off the stool and ran from the kitchen, leaving her half eaten sandwich. She shoultd excitedly over her shoulder as she ran down the hall, "THANK YOU!!!"
She stopped at the console and walked around it several times looking over it, her hand lightly trailing it, not actually pressing anything yet but eagerly exploring the strange and wonderful mechanisms before her. But after a moment, Yvie stopped, a confused look on her face. her eyes gave a worried expression and her hands slowly went to her ears like she was trying to block out a noise. But there was no sound to be heard. At least nothing that would warrant this reaction. "Wait... One at a time.. I.. I cant understand.. wai-.. One at a time! Stop shouting!!"
Yvie suddenly went down to her knees and tucked her head to the floor trying to block out whatever it was she was hearing.
The Nomad smiled and drank the rest of his milk and put the dishes into the dishwasher.
Walking out he found Yvie curled up on the floor, "Magpie? Are you alright?" He said as the Time Lord ran over, sitting down he moved her gently to his lap, "Yvie?" He said, holding her tightly, "Come on sweet heart." He said, the man was not liking seeing Yvie this way. He cradled her, hoping it would bring her out of what ever was happening.

she rested against The Nomad's chest, listening to the sound of his hearts. She actually found it soothing. The four rapid beats seemed to drown out the shouting voices in her head. She didn't know what was happening. Other than Sevaros, she had never heard voices before. She couldn't even count how many voices she heard, but they were all crying out, not angrily or even sad. It was as though they were arguing among themselves and Yvie was an unfortunate bystander.
"So many voices.. I.. I touched the controls and they all started talking at once." she looked up at The Nomad with those big round worried eyes. "I think I'm going crazy"

The Nomad looked at her, he wondered what he could possibly do. He put his hands to each side of her face, "Keep still." With that he put his forehead to hers to see what Yvie was hearing. The Time Lord could hear the voices she was hearing, he then pulled away, "Yvie.. I might be able to do something about that.." He said.

Yvie drew in a slow shaky breath, her hands still covering her ears amd shut her eyes tightly as The Nomad's head came to rest against her own. What he heard sounded like a council shouting and arguing among themselves. This is what he heard:
"Yes yes, I understand your concerns. But the child is STILL in danger. The wound caused by the man is widening. The Nothing is dying. If we are to continue to survive, we must save the child."
"That's all well and good, Lord Tidus. But we all know that no human can sustain having the knowledge of a Time Lord. Her mind would burn like a thousand suns and she would perish, regardless!"
"The Alchemist is right, Tidus. Perhaps this is meant to be the end. Granted, many of us had several regenerations left to go. But we can no longer hold on the the hope that this child will grant us a second chance. "
"Have you all forgotten the TARDIS? It is convinced the child can be spared. The TARDIS has agreed to use what life force it has left to change the child! To make her become a child of time!"
"Without the child's consent? You know we can not do that! Tidus, you have lost your perspective. All things come to an end. We have died, The Nothing is dying.. So to, must the child"
"....... The Doctor would have fought to spare her"
"We are not The Doctor. And neither are you, Lady Empress. You, Tidus, and The TARDIS... Do you really think we can just... morph this child? That kind of evolution takes generations to achieve. What you are suggestion could kill her well before The Nothing dies!"
"So that's it? You're giving up? Just let an innocent child die?"
"You are not thinking of the child, Tidus! You are thinking only of your own personal gain! Even if you were to succeed, I doubt it would be YOUR lives she would live. If she becomes a Time Lord, do you not think she would have lives of her own?"
and the argument roared to a crescendo once again. Yvie was trembling. To her, they were all talking at once and she could not hear what was being said.. All she heard was shouting.
The Time Lord could hear the voices she was hearing, he then pulled away, "Yvie.. I might be able to do something about that.." He said.[/i][/size]
Yvie whimpered and looked up at The Nomad, eyes full of tears, the look of terror in her eyes was enough to rip someone's heart in half. "It hurts.. so much.. MY head hurts, Daddy"

The Nomad released her, but wrapped his arms around her as he thought of what he could possibly do, he could change her to a full Time Lord.. or take The Nothing away from her... no not that because they need each other in order to survive now. But then it is his fault Sevorus is injured, but the only way to fix that is to allow it to consume his regeneration energy or to let it consume part of his TARDIS's life force.
"It hurts.. so much.. MY head hurts, Daddy"
The Time Lord looked at her, this was just ripping him apart, he did not know what option to go with.. wait! He reached into his pocket and got out his fob watch that he put part of his regeneration energy into.. but would it be enough to heal The Nothing?

Yvie's small hands reached to grasp Nomads, holding the hand which contained his fob watch. Yvie looked into Nomad's eyes, eyes full of worry and confusion before her eyes went strangely serene and her voice changed to a familiar cold tone "You would offer this to me freely? You care for the girl that much?" Sevaros' tone was confused. In all her wanderings with this child, no one accepted either of them, least of all the child. Most would have gladly let the girl die if it ment the end of The Nothing.
The Time Lord listened to the cold voice as Yvie grabbed and held his hand that contained the fob watch. "You would offer this to me freely? You care for the girl that much?" Sevaros' tone was confused.
The Nomad nodded, "Yes I would offer it to you freely.." He looked at Yvie, not at the Nothing that was controlling her, as if he can see the Yvie he adopted, "What would a parent do to save his child if he had the opportunity? On top of that I am doing this to save the both of you.. not just the child." He asked Sevaros, "I have enough in this Fob watch, along with some of my current DNA to trigger a regeneration back into.. well how I look now.. but the watch will have to be opened fast." He mentioned, looking down at the watch.
He looked to the child and gave her a reassuring smile, "Everything will be alright." The Time Lord said, the problem was that he will have to be killed, then the watch somehow opened before the regeneration progresses too much. He kissed the child's forehead and stood up, gently easing Yvie to her feet.

Yvie's face twisted into a wicked smile, her head rolling from her shoulder to look at him, tendrils of dark hair wisping over her eyes as she looked up at him. Sevaros warned darkly "A word of caution.. When a nothing feeds, it's most base instincts take over. It is why we are called the Nothing.... we leave nothing in our wake. If you are ready then"..
Yvie stood on wobbly legs as that strange smoke seeped from Yvie's skin, the black malevolent form of Sevaros emerging from her. Sevaros stood directly behind Yvie and their bodies seemed to move in unison, Yvie, the puppet, Sevaros, the puppeteer. Sevaros' long talon like nails frew several inches as if preparing a weapon and drew it's arm back as if springing to strike. "When the last of your glow begins to fade, Yvie must open your watch, or I will consume you entirely. This can not be helped. Much will rely on her timing"
But Yvie squeaked fearfully, her eyes looking up at Nomad "I.. I dont want to do this.. what if I'm too late? What if she's lying and will eat the watch too?"

The Nomad nodded, "I know the risk Sevorus, even if she is a little late, the regeneration energy and DNA that I stored will go straight into affect when she opens the watch, yeah.. I may change my appearance if that happens.." He said looking down he looked at the watch then at Sevaros. He clutched at the watch, looking at Yvie with a grin, "You will not be too late at all Magpie... and if Sevaros really cares she will leave just enough.. but you do have to get the timing right. You will know when to open the watch."
He moved his hands away from his body and let them fall back down, "I am ready when you are." Of course no one, not even a Time Lord is ready for death, but he has to do it if he is to save not just Yvie but Sevaros as well. He did not want to be known for wiping out the last of a race, nor the death of a child that he adopted, The Nomad wanted to save them. The Time Lord hoped that the plan will work as he waited for Sevaros to strike.

Sevaros' large glowing eyes narrowed into thin slits, the gaping gash in it's chest had grown wider since the last time he had laid eyes on it. It's fingers closed together to morph into a single thick blade and without warning, it's arm swung forward and impaled The Nomad's chest cavity, punctuing both hearts, his lungs. and the sound of his ribs and sternum snapping under the force of the blow made Yvie cry out in horror.
Sevaros paused only a moment, the thing's head tilting to the side almost questioningly. Sevaros seemed to have lost it's sentience as a feral gleam appeared in it's eyes. Sevaros forced it's bladed hand deeper into the chest until the fingers were forced out of The Nomad's back. Those fingers then curled upwards like hooks and Sevaros lifted The Nomad off the ground, leaving his feet to dangle.
The Nothing left him hanging for a moment, unable to breathe as his lungs filled with blood. Once Sevaros was satisfied with it's killing blow, it retracted its claws letting The Nomad fall hard to the floor and watched him bleed out, waiting for the regenerating glow, then the feast would begin.
Yvie stood there, her eyes wide with terror, her skin was white, devoid of any color. She collapsed to her knees, tears in her mismatched colored eyes as she watched helplessly.

The Time Lord watched as the fingers morphed into a thick blade, but before he could prepare himself the blade was impaled into his chest, naturally his hands reached for the weapon to pull it out because of the pain, it was so intense, he coughed as his lungs started to fill up with blood. But there was a different pain, his hearts were punctured, and with each heart beat they were cut into that much more. He gasped in vain to get air into his fluid filling lungs.

Time seemed to become extremely, painfully slow. Nomad's eyes naturally widened when the blade was forced deeper into his chest, and exited out of his back, he yelled out with what ever he had left as she made her fingers into hooks digging into his flesh as she lifted him up high, his hands gripping at what was still a blade, causing deep cuts in his hands.

The Nomad fell to the floor, his legs crumbled, leaving him laying helplessly on the floor as he bled out. He took one last gasp before he started to glow with regeneration energy as his body made an attempt to keep him alive.

The Nomad fell to the floor, his legs crumbled, leaving him laying helplessly on the floor as he bled out. He took one last gasp before he started to glow with regeneration energy as his body made an attempt to keep him alive.
A strangle gurgling grown came from Sevaros as the glow began to surround the dying time lord. The Nothing leaned in over The Nomad and the creature's head becan to split from what would have been ear to ear. Sevaros actually had a mouth. The glow from inside it's mouth was just as blinding white as the glow from it's eyes, long thick black liquid seemed to be keeping the lower and upper jaws connected as it it's skin had been stretched to the point of ripping.
It drew in a long slow sucking breath and the glow began to pull away from the nomad and was drawn into The Nothing. Sevaros seemed to shudder with delight as those long bloodstained claws gripped Nomad at the shoulders to hold him still. She seemed to grin as Nomad's features began to change. But Sevaros drew in another long drag of his life force, like a nicotine fiend having their first cigarette in years. One life stolen.
But the glow still lingered, trying to produce enough energy to repair The Nomad, Sevaros wasn't giving it that chance. She continued to draw in his life force into herself. The break in Sevaros' physical shell began to slowly close. Nomad began to experience the sensation of death again as the energy fought to repair him. His features began to morph once more. Another life ripped away from him.
This agonizing feeding continued for several minutes, before the wound on the Nothing was healed.. But.. Sevaros wasn't stopping. She continued to sap his life force. Yvie called out desperately "That's enough! Please, you're killing him!!!" But the Nothing didnt seem to hear her. Sevaros' face was now only inches from The Nomads as she pulled away a third life.
Yvie stood with the flip of her hands, in desperation, the seat beside the console was ripped from it's bolted position and thrown at Sevaros. Yvie suddenly looked at her hands in suprised and just came to the realization she was standing under her own power. Yvie was beginning to realize something that made a rage grow in the pit of her stomach.. The nothing was distracted with The Nomad. If did not have a hold of Yvie at all.. "You... You were keeping me sick.. Making me think I needed you...... YOU USED ME!! I THOUGHT YOU NEEDED ME!!" Suddenly a wall panel from inside the TARDIS was ripped off and Yvie motined her hands like she was crumpling a ball of paper..
The panel was compressed into a tight ball of crumpled metal and she hurtled it at Sevaros. "Get away from my dad!!!"
Sevaros reeled from the blow to the head and whipped around to glare at Yvie and that wide mouth pulled into a grin. She had drawn more than enough energy from The nomad to power her for at least a century. But Yvie's assaults were posing an annoyance. "Clever child. Took you long enough. No.. I dont need you. You are nothing more than a Potato Battery. A suitable source of power until something better came along. I will kill this time witch, destroy this TARDIS and leave you to rot in the vacuum of space."
Every time The Nomad tried to regenerate The Nothing would sap it all away. But the Time Lord was helpless as Sevaros had him pinned to the floor, he had to regenerate now.. but with The Nothing going against her word, he can't. He could feel that the end was coming, but what can he do?
He was barely able to breath and his hearts were barely working enough to keep him alive, it was like he was playing a never ending game of tog o war with The Nothing over regeneration energy, but he was on the loosing end and was slowly losing enough rope to hold onto.
He was not aware that Yvie was throwing objects at The Nothing, in vainly trying to distract Sevaros. The panel was compressed into a tight ball of crumpled metal and she hurtled it at Sevaros. "Get away from my dad!!!"
Sevaros reeled from the blow to the head and whipped around to glare at Yvie and that wide mouth pulled into a grin. I will kill this time witch, destroy this TARDIS and leave you to rot in the vacuum of space."
The Time Lord looked at The Nothing, "You will not harm my daughter." He whispered, pulling a small teleportation device he slammed it as hard as he could into 'her' arm, and The Nothing seemed to have vanished. The Nomad laid his head back down, gasping for air, "Yvie are you alright?" He realized that he lost the fob watch, where did it go?
He could feel his regeneration energy building up again, if it gets too high he will change, The Nomad does not want that at all. Not now.
