Aixa shrugged off the Time Lord’s apology. Even if he had been broaching in on a sensitive topic, there was still no reason for the Djinn to have snapped at him like that. He took another drink, ignoring the way his brain was becoming slightly numb and his thoughts were having trouble stringing themselves together. He slumped over the drink, mumbling something incoherently about peach fuzz or beach buzz or leech suds. He laughed loudly at his own words even though in the back of his mind he knew that he wasn’t making sense and this wasn’t funny and oh god why he had tried to impress Leo and take the alcohol?!
“Well I have a pool in my TARDIS, or we can go to a lake outside of town that I found… your choice.” A brief silence before Aixa declared the undying level of Leo’s goodness. “You are the best friend a man can ask for, Aixa.”
The Djinn stood – or, rather, attempted to stand. His legs wobbled precariously underneath him. One of the waiters caught him by the shoulders. Aixa turned to him, muttering out his phone number with a suggestive wink. Except… did he have a phone? His eyebrows furrowed slightly, trying to discern whose phone number he had given out. “Phoneless I have none,” he muttered, rubbing his head slightly.
“Uh, sir, I’m going to have to ask you to leave. We aren’t supposed to serve people who are drunk…”
He opened his mouth, trying to think through the thick haze in his head. Hadn’t the Nomad asked him something? About a pool? Or a lake? “WATER! I LIKE WATER!” he shrieked, hugging the waiter tightly and stumbling backwards in an attempt to kidnap the poor man. Aixa landed on the floor and the waiter stood above him with wide eyes. The waitress from earlier joined him and looked at the Nomad inquisitively. “Are you twins?” he slurred, picking himself up.
The two humans – who looked nothing alike from the color of their skin to the color of their hair – exchanged glances. “’m a twin. Hih name is Sh.. She… Shez…” he hiccupped, wandering outside while flapping his arms. “Such a hard name… SHEZAAN!” he yelled, jumping up and down unsteadily. “And my name is AIXA! EH. SHUH! LIKE GRAAAAAPE. AND THEN SHUH!” he declared aggressively to a passerby.
Wait, why was he outside?
He looked around, confused and lost for a moment. Where was Pippa? Wait… where was he?! He flopped down on the ground, confused. Wait, hadn’t Nommie said he was man’s best friend? Aixa took the form of a dog, ignoring the searing pain from the lack of energy.
“Woof! Woof! I’m a dog!” he said cheerfully, wagging his tail feverishly. Wait… he had a tail?! Aixa’s eyes widened and then narrowed and he barked, spinning around in circles trying to catch it.
Leo sighed, setting a wealthy tip on the table as he came to a stand, "Sorry about that.. it will not happen again." He said and walked out of the building. He looked to Aixa who was now in the form of a dog, "Aixa.. what are you up to?" He asked as Leo walked over to the Djinn.
He kneeled down and ran his fingers through the 'dog's' fur gently, "Let's get you somewhere where you can settle down. Alright?" He took his tie off and used it like a leash, as he led his friend to his TARDIS. Being careful not to choke Aixa, but that seemed hard to do as he was chasing his tail, running around the Time Lord's legs and dashing here and there, pulling the man with him.
Just one more block to go, then the 'leash' was wrapped around the Time Lord's leg and pulled out from under him, the Time Lord fell firmly on his behind, "Ouch!" He said, putting a hand to his tailbone.
The dog stopped chasing its tail long enough to look up at his name. “I’m a dog,” he said simply, and barked to prove it. His tail wagged as the Time Lord grew closer. He bounded over towards the man, hanging his tongue out in excitement. He didn’t know why dogs did it, but he remembered they did it and that’s all that Aixa needed to mimic the behavior. Aixa giggled, but it sounded deeper and throatier coming from the dog. “I like being a dog. I’m man’s best friend! Does that mean women hate me? Oh no! Pippa! Pippa has my treat bag!”
The Nomad kneeled next to him. Aixa licked his face, putting his paws on the man’s shoulder as he attacked with him ‘doggy kisses’. Which really was just all tongue and saliva. Drunkenly, Aixa remembered their ‘first time’ and was reminded of it. Aixa leaned heavily against the Time Lord as he ran his fingers through his fur. He pushed into the Nomad’s touch, his tail moving at full-speed. “Let’s get you somewhere where you can settle down. Alright?” Settle down?! But that didn’t sound very much fun at all!
Aixa scowled as the man tied his tie around his neck. The Djinn huffed and promptly began to chase his tail, alternate between dragging his feet and running ahead of Leo, and running between his legs, trying to make him stumble. His mission seemed to be accomplished once the man fell down. “Ouch!”
The Djinn took his human form with a few, ah, notable differences. He’d forgotten to put his clothes back on, and the ears and tail and left front paw was still there. He giggled. “Poor Nommie!” He licked Leo’s cheek and took off down the street again, wobbling unsteadily. He could smell the humans, and he focused in on one smell in particular; the TARDIS. He looked behind him at the Nomad and laughed again, running towards the park.
Wait, wait. Why was it so cold?
He stopped, perplexed and perched on a bench. He turned back into the form of a dog, waiting for the Nomad again. “Come on, slowpoke. Woof woof! I’m a dog!”

The Time Lord rubbed at his lower back and tail bone area some more, groaning a little. Then looked over to Aixa who was at first, half human and half dog before changing to a full dog. He blinked a couple times, wondering if he saw that image because he was partially drunk. Shrugging he got to his feet, dusted his trousers off and followed the dog.. Djinn.. morph.. thing.
He sighed with some relief when Aixa perched himself on a bench, "I'm coming, I'm coming." The Time Lord said with a grin. He took the tie off the dog and looked at the tie then down at his shirt. Thinking he undid the first three buttons, impressed he stuffed the tie into his pocket, liking his new look, "Alright she is in this park hidden as a tree." Leo told the Djinn.
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” the Time Lord said. The dog began to wag its tail again as the Nomad untied the tie from around its neck. Aixa opened his mouth as the man undid the buttons of his shirt, but all that came out was a little whimper and the puppy looked away, appearing as embarrassed as a dog could get. “Alright she is in this park hidden as a tree.”
Aixa grinned and leaped off the park bench, running around the park until he got the scent of the TARDIS. He beamed at the thought of going back to it. He was so caught up in his thoughts he almost didn’t notice that he was barreling towards the tree. He tumbled into it, knocking open the TARDIS doors. He rolled on the ground, fully clothed this time. He giggled and rolled around on the console. “Hey, Leo!” he said, standing up with his legs shaking.
Oh man, he couldn’t even stand up without drunkenly stumbling over himself. “Oh man…” He flopped down on the floor again, staring up at the roof of the TARDIS. “I’m in the middle of a caffeine, chocolate, and alcohol high.”

Leo laughed as Aixa 'fell' into the TARDIS, walking inside he sat down next to the Djinn, "Isn't that like one of the best feelings in the universe? Or is there one that is better than that?" He asked curiously, laying back, resting on his side facing the Djinn. He looked to the opened door, leaning over he brought it to a close then looked back to Aixa.
Then a phone at the control console started to ring, confused he ran over and picked it up, "Hello?" After listening he hung it up, "Ok that was weird." He made his way back to the Djinn.
During his brief stint with the Nomad and his TARDIS, he’d never noticed how tall the roof was. Aixa reached up a hand pathetically, trying to put it to scale. If he squinted, the darkness from his eyelashes and the lights from the console joined gloriously and formed something akin to stars. He sighed and turned his head towards the Nomad, watching as the man sat down next to him. He smiled up at him and the outstretched hand moved to Leo’s lap. His head was still beating harshly and his thoughts weren’t quite fitting together properly, but it at least he wasn’t surrounded by humans.
“Isn’t that like one of the best feelings in the universe?”
Aixa looked over at him with pale eyes. “It’s very strange,” he whispered, not wanting to disturb the TARDIS if she slept. He was glad to see she had gotten over his burst of energy. He looked over at the console contemplatively, and then looked towards the corridor towards Leo’s bedroom.
“Or is there one that is better than that?”
He was aware of shifting beside him. Aixa moved his head towards the Time Lord, watching as he lay down on his side next to him. He edged closer to the Time Lord. “I think there is a better feeling,” he whispered, trailing one of his hands down Leo’s chest before rolling over. “You know as well as I do about those feelings…” he giggled, and a wave of energy emitted from the Djinn again. It was a bit of an aphrodisiac, playing on his emotions and memories.
A phone was ringing. Ringing? He listened as the Time Lord had a small conversation. “Your girlfriend checking up on you?” he teased.

Leo looked at him wondering if Aixa was still hurt about the Time Lord regenerating. He sighed quietly as he got up to answer the phone.
A phone was ringing. Ringing? He listened as the Time Lord had a small conversation. “Your girlfriend checking up on you?” he teased.
Leo sat down next to Aixa again, "Uh.. not really a friend inviting me to a party.. last time I wrecked it.." He said, embarrassment in his tone of voice.
Aixa looked over at him. He didn’t mean to sound bitter if he did, because he’d meant what he said. Even though it was rather short, what they’d had had been great. “Uh… not really a friend inviting me to a party… last time I wrecked it…” How could he wreck a party? He stared up at the man curiously, and then looked back up at the ceiling, squinting his eyes again. He liked pretending that there were the stars above him instead just walls. Except there didn’t seem to be a ‘just’ when it came to the TARDIS.
“How did you wreck it?” he asked curiously, sitting up. His head spun and his arms felt a little like jell-o. He blinked, and lay back down, resting his head in the Nomad’s lap. “Do you ever get mad that I left you when you regenerated? I… I kind of do, but…” he trailed off, sighing. Man, he needed to get himself together. “Hey…” He twisted in the man’s lap and sat up, wrapping his arms around his neck and resting his forehead on his shoulder. “I’m sorry.”
He squirmed a little. “Are you going to the party? Is it a Tim—” he cut himself off shortly. Of course it wouldn’t be a Time Lord party… the Nomad had mentions being the only one left. “Sorry… just, sorry.”

"I uh.. blew the BBQ up.. I still do not know how I managed it." Leo said with a laugh. He blushed lightly when Aixa rested his head on the Time Lord's lap, "I was upset.. but then.. it was not the first or the last time someone ran off on me.. I.. kind of wish you were there though.. I was.. so scared." He said quietly, as he admitted that he was actually scared of something. Then the Djinn's arms were around his neck, "Aixa.." He whispered.. blushing, then watched as the man rested his head on Leo's shoulders, he did not know what to say or do.
The Time Lord wrapped his arms tightly around the Djinn.
He squirmed a little. “Are you going to the party? Is it a Tim—” he cut himself off shortly. Of course it wouldn’t be a Time Lord party… the Nomad had mentions being the only one left. “Sorry… just, sorry.”
He knew what he was going to asked, "No.. it was not another Time Lord.." He replied.
He blew up the BBQ? Aixa stared at him, an amused smile on his lips. How could he manage to blow up a barbecue without knowing how he did it? The Djinn stroked the Time Lord’s leg as his head remained in the man’s lap. “I can’t say I’ve ever blown one up. I’ve got a list, anyway. I’ve got a TARDIS to my list, and that’s the only thing so far… I’m still working on it.” He looked up at him and smiled nervously. “Hey… if you want to go to the party, I-I can leave, you know…” he said tentatively.
“I was upset…but then… it was not the first or last time someone ran off on me… I… kind of wish you were there though… I was… so scared,” the Time Lord said.
Aixa looked down, sitting up and hugging Leo around his neck. “It was one of the worst moments of my life,” he admitted. “I… I heard you, you know. When you called out for me… I was hiding, and I wanted to go back…” His breathing stuttered a little and he held the man tighter. “And I think back and I think what an idiot I was to abandon you because… but I was so scared, Leo. I’m sorry. I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” he swallowed thickly.
“Aixa…”
Leo wrapped his arms around the Djinn. Aixa smiled against the Time Lord’s neck, kissing him softly. “You’ve gotten me drunk and in your arms. If my brother could see me now…” he giggled. “I… I always wondered something. Do you think we would have been great together?”
The Djinn stroked the Time Lord’s leg as his head remained in the man’s lap. “I can’t say I’ve ever blown one up. I’ve got a list, anyway. The Time Lord shivered at the feeling, then regained himself, "Naw.. I do not want to go. Much better things to do than hear humans talking about politics, war and well whatever it is that they talk about." He ran his fingers through the Djinn's hair.
Aixa looked down, sitting up and hugging Leo around his neck. “It was one of the worst moments of my life,” he admitted. “I… I heard you, you know. I’m sorry. I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” he swallowed thickly.
"It's alright Aixa.. I'm not angry at you at all.." He hugged the Djinn tightly, still gently running his fingers through his hair, yeah he was hurt but he could not entirely blame the Djinn for running away. He hugged the Djinn tighter.
Aixa smiled against the Time Lord’s neck, kissing him softly. “You’ve gotten me drunk and in your arms. If my brother could see me now…” he giggled. “I… I always wondered something. Do you think we would have been great together?”
Leo blushed lightly when the Djinn kissed his neck, "Oh.. well do you want me to let you go?" He asked teasingly, he blinked when Aixa mentioned that he had a brother, "I think we would have been amazing together Aixa."
He wished he had half as much patience as Leo seemed to have. Aixa shut his eyes, nearly purring from the fingers running through his hair. “If I were you, I’d hate me,” Aixa admitted, smiling as the Nomad tightened his hold on the Djinn. It was a lot different with Pippa. The woman was still scared to touch him. No matter what he did, it seemed that Pippa was permanently terrified of the Djinn. He wouldn’t let her know how much it bothered him, because it wasn’t as though he wanted for her to be attached to him…
“Why aren’t you angry?” Aixa asked, stroking the Time Lord’s back. “I’m not complaining or anything but… but I have to know why. I couldn’t stand myself after I let you go… I…” He’d alternated between hating himself and getting angry at Leo. Why couldn’t he have stopped the death? Why did Leo need to die? Why had he been stupid enough to care deeply for a Time Lord? For a master?
Aixa felt the heat rise to Leo’s cheeks. “Oh… well do you want me to let you go?” he teased.
The Djinn shook his head, pulling back a little. He pressed their foreheads again, their lips ghosting each other, not quite touching and not quite separated. “No,” Aixa said quietly. “I never want you to let me go.”
“I think we would have been amazing together Aixa.”
The Djinn smiled. “I used to think that leaving was just a nightmare and I’d wake up,” he admitted, removing one of his hands from around Leo to wipe his eyes. He looked at the Time Lord’s slightly unbuttoned shirt – he’d unbuttoned it while chasing after Aixa, the Djinn could remember that much. He smiled and pressed a kiss to the bare skin, unbuttoning a few more slowly, trailing his lips down until he could push the shirt slightly off his shoulders.
“It was here,” Aixa said, running his fingers across the smooth skin. It was unmarred – new – but the memories had haunted him enough. “What you said earlier… about losing a friend you loved…”
He trailed off and continued studying Leo’s chest, too embarrassed to look at the man. His usually pale cheeks were flushed a bright pink, a mixture of the alcohol and his humiliation.

Leo looked to the wall ahead of him as he gathered his words, "Why would I be angry at you after all that you did before you left? You did more than the companion I had before you.." He kissed the Djinn's neck softly, "I have no reason to be angry at you at all."
The Djinn shook his head, pulling back a little. He pressed their foreheads again, their lips ghosting each other, not quite touching and not quite separated. “No,” Aixa said quietly. “I never want you to let me go.”
The Time Lord smiled, "Then I won't ever let you go." He nuzzled the Djinn's nose with his, "Never again."
The Djinn smiled. “I used to think that leaving was just a nightmare and I’d wake up,” he admitted, removing one of his hands from around Leo to wipe his eyes. Leo nodded in agreement, "It felt like it was a nightmare." he told Aixa as he watched the Djinn wipe his eyes, then watched his movements. He blushed lightly again as the Djinn kissed his exposed skin, it started to feel a little hot to the Time Lord as Aixa pushed the Time Lord's shirt off his shoulders. His own hands went to Aixa's lower back.
“It was here,” Aixa said, running his fingers across the smooth skin. It was unmarred – new – but the memories had haunted him enough. “What you said earlier… about losing a friend you loved…”
Leo giggled as Aixa trailed his fingers along where the injury was, "That tickles.." He giggled, going into a small laughing fit. He panted some as Leo caught his breath, he swallowed hard, "I.. I loved you Aixa." He admitted, looking away from the Djinn, unsure of what Aixa would think of that.
He trailed off and continued studying Leo’s chest, too embarrassed to look at the man. His usually pale cheeks were flushed a bright pink, a mixture of the alcohol and his humiliation.
His face flushed even brighter as Leo kissed his neck. Aixa felt the blush prickling his face and he squirmed uncomfortably, his breath releasing all at once in a gasp. “Leo…” he said, frazzled. What had he been talking about before? Between the fingers in his hair and the warm lips on his neck, Aixa had been rather pleasantly distracted. He pressed against the Nomad tighter. “You’re too nice,” he said once he could form a coherent thought. It was alarming the way the man was able to twist his emotions and reduce him to a shivering puddle of mush.
Aixa widened his eyes. Never again. A bright smile crossed his face and he nearly pinned the Time Lord down and began ravishing him right there, but patience was key. “Not even to let me go back to my mistress?” he asked, nuzzling the Nomad’s nose. “You’re kidnapping me, huh? That’s fine with me, I think… just bring me home before dinner,” he murmured.
He sat to work sliding the shirt off Leo. He’d expected some sort of a blush from the Time Lord, but he felt the hearts quicken and the skin heat and the breaths were shallow. Aixa looked up at him innocently, then twitched and purred as Leo’s hands rested on his back. “Ah… I, um,” he averted his eyes sheepishly, arching his back subtly into the Nomad’s hands. “I like that,” he mumbled.
The Djinn grinned and wriggled his fingers, tickling the man some more. “I… I loved you Aixa.”
He looked up at the Time Lord, his cheeks still heated. He pushed him to the ground, crouching over him. “Leo,” he whispered, unhooking the bottom two buttons of the Nomad’s shirt. “What can I do?” he asked, sitting beside the Time Lord and lying down next to him.
