The Penguin hopped inside the door and followed The Doctor into the TARDIS, looking around she accidentally bumped into the side of a book shelf. Shaking her head she flip flopped over to the Time Lord, looking up she saw he was wanting to pet her again. She made some purring, coo sound as she rested her chin onto his hand. She was starting to feel tired, perhaps she should look for a place to rest.. maybe even change to her human form.
The Doctor gently scratched the underside of her chin. Oh he would never tire of that. He mad his way over to the part of the TARDIS that looked more like a library and put on a record onto the gramophone. "Blue Danube" began to softly play. He then hurried over to his console and grabbed a top lever and slid it half way over and eased a slide bar upwards. The engines began to hum softly and he whipped around to look at the penguin. There was a sudden look of sadness on his eyes. "I wish I could communicate with you more effectively, little one. But I'm afraid the translation module is on the fritz."
He looked up at the TARDIS center console and smiled, before looking back at the little bird "I imagine you must be tired. I certainly am. Perhaps a bit of sleep before we venture anywhere." He crossed over and with a light spin, plopped down into the arm chair, throwing his feet up onto the Ottoman. "Make yourself comfortable. Anywhere you please. Eh.. There's a kitchen just down that corridor if you're hungry"

Chadirra nodded when he mentioned tired then shook her head when he mentioned hungry, with a quiet coo.
The Frobisher wondered then how to tell him that she was a shape shifter. Waddling to her back she pulled out a locket that she usually wears and waddled back to the Time Lord, well to where he was sitting and worked at getting it into his hand. Once it was in his hand she took a couple steps back, tilting her head as Chadirra wondered if he will now catch on that she is a shape shifter.
The Doctor held up the locket she had placed in his hands and eyed it curiously, looking between the bird and the locket. His brain was slowly riddling it out. And exceedingly intelligent penguin, a back pack and now a locket? She was trying to tell him something... and then it clicked. He kicked his legs up off the ottoman and spun out of the seat and snatched the little bird into a hug and danced in a circle with her "Oh, you clever thing!! Brilliant and clever!"
He kissed the her on the top of her head and set her down. He sure was excitable wasn't he? "I cant believe I didn't realize sooner. My apologies! If you need a bit of privacy, by all means!" he motioned his arms to a room just down the corridor where there was a room waiting for her.

The shape shifter cooed as she was picked up and danced around in a circle, flapping her flippers some. Now the Time Lord knows what she is!

Chadirra cooed quietly, lovingly as the Time Lord kissed her on her head then set her down. She flapped her flippers slowly as she looked up at him. She looked in the direction that he pointed to, looking to him she waddled over to the door. Moving into the room, she changed back to her human form, it might have taken a good five or eight minutes to do.
Walking out she made her way back to the central control room, standing there quietly.
The Doctor smiled down at her and bowed slightly taking her hand into a light kiss. "It's a pleasure to meet another whifferdill. Frobisher was a dear friend of mine in my last life. I'm The Doctor"
He stood back upright and placed his hands on his hips, very elated with the young lady. He smiled kindly waiting for her to introduce herself.
He then kindly motioned his arm back down the corridor smiling softly "I imagine that you've had a long day. You're more than welcome to take a rest before we head off"

The shape shifter blushed lightly as the Time Lord kissed her hand lightly, "It is a pleasure to meet you Doctor.. My name is chadirra.. Friends called me Flippers.. because of my penguin forms that I take. Others call me thief.." She looked away as though she was ashamed of the last part.
He then kindly motioned his arm back down the corridor smiling softly "I imagine that you've had a long day. You're more than welcome to take a rest before we head off"
She looked down the same corridor that she just came from then back at the Time Lord, "You do not know how long of a day it has been.. or how long the past three months have been.. I'm.." She took a deep breath, "All this running and hiding.. falling from my home.." She stopped and looked at the Time Lord then looked away again.
He smiled brightly as she introduced herself. Chadirra was a lovely name. And Flippers was certainly adorable.. But his hearts sank and she mentioned 'Thief" and he smoke softly to her as he stooped down to her. She was an adorably short figure in her human form and while he was trying to mind himself she wasn't a child, he couldnt help but find her short impish stature simply adorable "I wouldnt dwell on it, my dear. I've been called far worse."
He felt a pang of sadness for her. He too knew what it was like to be a long way from home, but unlike her, He had an easier time blending in. He gently placed his hand to her cheek in a reassuring manner and softly told her "Well, come then. We should both rest up. And then I'll take you anywhere you've like to be. Visit some far distant shore, see Crystal Cascade Meteor Shower, or even visit a planet or two." He was obviously excited at the idea of having a companion once more.

Chadirra looked up at The Doctor as he spoke, she quickly, tried to, wrapped her arms around his neck in a tight hug, "Thank you Doctor." She said, somewhat muffled by the Time Lord's clothing.
She moved away some, she never hugged anyone like that at all, it was a little embarrassing to the shape shifter, "I agree that we should rest before we take off." She said quietly, looking back up to the Time Lord.

The Doctor laughed softly, gently placing his comparably large hand atop her head. "You're quite welcome, Chadirra. And please, if there's anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable, You just say the word."

He smiled softly down at her, his soft brown hair lightly framing his face, making those blue eyes seem all the brighter "Well, you are welcome to that first room. The TARDIS should easily suit it to your needs.. But should you need anything, I'll be in the library." He motioned to the large section of the Tarids that was lined with books, an old brassy Gramophone set beside a comfortable looking chair-
"You're quite welcome, Chadirra. And please, if there's anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable, You just say the word."
The shape shifter looked at the Time Lord with a smile, "I already feel at home Doctor." She blushed lightly and looked away from the Doctor. Great! She was making it sound as though she wanted to stay with him.. way to go. She then looked back up to the Doctor as he spoke once again.

Chadirra looked behind the man to the room behind him, then nodded, "Ok." She quietly yawned, then rubbed at her eye some, she definitely was tired. Chadirra does not even remember the last time she had a good sleep, she looked to the room he was saying she could sleep in then to the Time Lord, "Night Doctor." She gave him another hug before walking to the room.
Once inside the room, leaving the door open some, Chadirra looked around, it was a normal looking bedroom, the bed seemed to be pretty tall.. walking over she was easily able to climb onto it and laid her head down on the soft pillow. With in seconds she was asleep.
"I already feel at home Doctor." She blushed lightly and looked away from the Doctor. He couldn’t help but chuckle at her as the slight flush of pink crept across her face. He placed his hand affectionately on her head, like a father would a child before pointing down the corridor."Well, you are welcome to that first room. The TARDIS should easily suit it to your needs.. But should you need anything, I'll be in the library." He smiled warmly after her as she made her way down the corridor. He couldnt put his finger on why, but he was elated he had found her. He knew that his amnesia issues had left a lot of memories blocked out. Perhaps the little shape shifter was linked to a memory he had lost. He shrugged it off and made his way over to the library and rummaged through his collection of records, selecting one and placing it on the gramophone and set it to play. “Blue Danube” softly echoed through the TARDIS as he sat in the chair and placed his feet up, picking up where he'd left off with “The Time Machine” by H.G. Wells.
The long hours dolled on uneventfully, and while he wasn't asleep, he had closed his eyes to let his mind wander. Vivid imaginings of previous adventures with previous companions. His eye tear as he sat up sighed.. There was someone he very much needed to find. but.. why couldn't he remember the name? A face? Something to tell him why it was he was missing.
He groaned as he forced himself to a stand and made his way to the console. He figured Chadirra had a rough few nights and was going to let her sleep in. He had not set any coordinates but he revved up the engines of The TARDIS to get the old girl warmed up for little Chadirra's first adventure.

Curling up, holding her penguin bag as though it served as a stuffed animal, heard the soft sound of 'Blue Danube' playing. Blinking sleepily she drifted off to sleep, pulling the blankets to just under her head. Taking a deep breath she was quickly unconscious to the world. for the first time in days she was getting some peaceful sleep.
He groaned as he forced himself to a stand and made his way to the console. He figured Chadirra had a rough few nights and was going to let her sleep in. He had not set any coordinates but he revved up the engines of The TARDIS to get the old girl warmed up for little Chadirra's first adventure.
Chadirra stirred some as she heard a light hum sound through the ship as she was started up. But she did not want to wake up yet and drifted to another deep sleep, at least that is what it felt like. Slowly she opened her eyes, looking just over her penguin bag to the door that was open a bit wider than where she left it that night. Coming to a sitting position she looked around the room as Chadirra stretched her arms, yawning quietly.
Hopping down she landed on the cold floor, in response she quickly got her converse shoes on then her jacket and made her way out to the control room. Quietly walking over to the Time Lord.
The Doctor had been so preoccupied with trying to plot out a destination for the little whifferdill, he hadn't even heard her come up behind him. His hands were flying deftly over the console controls with such practiced ease, although, admittedly, most of the time, he was making up as he went along. When no one else knew what the heck he was doing, it was quite simple to act as though everything he had done was completely intentional. And of course, when the TARDIS would groan and wheeze in complaint of his mucking about, The Doctor would just simply smile and pat the console, thanking her for being so patient with him.
He finally turned around, and when he saw Chadirra, he couldn't help but smile. The young woman had obviously just made her way out of bed, judging by her mess of hair. "Well, Good Morning, Chadirra.. I trust you slept well?" he inquired with a gentle smile as he came to bow slightly, both as a polite gesture and to even out their height slightly as he addressed her.
"Alright then, my dear. All of space and time is ours to explore, I, of course, being your humble guide. Where would you like to go?"
Chadirra smiled brightly at the Time Lord, "I can honestly say Doctor that was the best sleep that I have had in a very long time." She tilted her head some, "Thank you so much for taking me in when no one else would Doctor." She cleared her throat a little as she watched the Time Lord bow. She giggled a little as his hair seemed to flop down to hide the Time Lord from her.
The shape shifter watched the Doctor for a moment, then looked to the console thinking of where she would like to go.. but she knew nothing about the universe at all, "I honestly.. do not know where to go. I don't know much about it." She looked sad for a moment then quickly brightened with a smile, "Can you please teach me about the universe Doctor?"
"I honestly.. do not know where to go. I don't know much about it."
The Doctor flashed an encouraging smile to the young whifferdil as he placed one hand on his hip, the other, casually on the console.
"Can you please teach me about the universe Doctor?"
“That's what I like to hear! And eager and open mind! Alright, Chadirra! First thing you'll need to know is about the vessel in which we're traveling! It's called a TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimesnion In Space. And in my humble oppinon, no finer way to travel the cosmos! She can be a tempermental bit of machinery but she's never let me down! Have you, old girl?” he coo'd as he stroked the console.
He then danced happily around the console, flipping levers and pressing buttons in seemingly a random and disorganized fashion. But everything was perfectly strategic and in a chaotic order. At least that is what he would have you believe. He would never in a million life times admit that half the time he had no idea what he was doing. Every time he regenerated, the console would change to suit his new personality. But that also meant he had to relearn where everything went. Oh, but never mind that now!
What seemed like only a moment, the Tardis groaned and shook as The Doctor piloted with all the casual grace of a trained rhesus monkey with a mallet. Once everything was still, The Doctor beamed down at her. “Well then.. Here's to your first adventure!” He swept his hand to motion towards the doors. “If you'll do the honors, my dear?”
