Name: Shezaan
Age: 2,944
Gender: Genderless / Androgynous
Species: Djinn - Amir
Planet of Origin: Earth
Occupation: Drifter searching for their soul mate.
Physical Description: Shezaan's form is without gender definition. Shezaan is most often addressed in the masculine form and tends to associate more with being male but will readily answer/portray to either.. He possesses dark blue eyes the peer from under thick ashen blond lashes. His hair is a lush and silky blond color that trails a little past his shoulders. His skin is a soft and pale complexion, a pair of twin beauty marks above the right side of his upper lip. Those lips are full and feminine, a soft and pale pink against his skin.
He has a slender an unimposing build. He stands evenly at 6'1”. His manner of dress does not help in peoples confusion of his gender. Shezaan will wear whatever is comfortable, including both men and womens clothing right down to the high heels and hair accessories.
Personality:
- Inquisitive: Shezaan is very curious about the world around him. He will stop at stare at the most mundane things, intrigued by their function. He's is much like a human infant in the fact that he will often put things in his mouth or lick them to explore them. Despite the fact that this often ends badly for him, he continues this method as he find it the 'most informative'. Fortunately, he is a relatively quick learner and has scratched Razor Blades and Electrical outlets off of his list of things to lick.
- Apprehensive: Shezaan often seems on edge about something. While he tries to play the cheerful and outgoing amir, he constantly has the feeling that something bad is going to happen. This makes him a little flighty.
- Docile: Shezaan is relatively meek and easy to command. This greatly stems from the abuse he received under Solomon's rule. When he did try to exercise his free will, he'd been brutally beaten and locked in his lamp for months before his release. After a few years of this treatment, Shezaan became passive and obedient. Shezaan might not be particularly brave, but if it came down to a choice of saving someone's life or saving his own, Shezaan would always choose to save the life of another, becoming a fierce and cunning Amir.
- Cat-like: Shezaan has the oddest manner of doing things. He comes across as quite fussy over his appearance and will straighten himself endlessly. He greatly enjoys physical contact and will often rub against someone as if clamoring for attention. He loves to lay in windows, enjoying the warm sunshine and watching the world go by. His choice of where to sleep is also a bit strange. He likes to scrawl out on tables or counters, on top of bookshelves, across the back of a couch, or even in someone's lap. What is most unsettling is that he does these things whether in human or feline form.
- Clingy: Due to the trauma of his 'birth', Shezaan finds himself feeling ill at ease when alone or confined. When he does manage to find someone he can come to trust and care for, he will become like their shadow. He always has to know where they are and what they're doing because he can not emotionally handle being alone. On more than one occasion, Shezaan has pawed frantically at a bathroom door until his master reemerged.
- Hopeless Romantic: Shezaan will often while away his hours day dreaming if finding his one true love. He's been told that it's a ridiculous notion and that he needed to get his head out of the clouds. But no one could seem to understand. Somewhere out there, the other half of his soul is waiting for him. Shezaan will often read the same sappy romance novel over and over, imagining how grand it would be to be in place of the characters in those mushy books.
History: Screaming... Screaming and music. That was the first memory he had when he was born. The Amir that had created him was being separated from his soul and lost control, accidentally creating a fledgling. But the new born was ripped in half as the songs echoed in the halls. When that happened, something strange happened. The split fledgling soul became two separate entities. Twins. The twins clung to each other, bewildered and confused, only to be ripped from each others arms and given to different caretakers.
Shezaan did not stay with his caretaker very long. Shezaan was a defiant fledgling that violently demanded to see his 'brother'. It was a human term he adopted to describe him since the djinn did not know what to call them. Twins had never happened before and the djinn were just as perplexed as the humans. His caretaker had tried to still the torrential fledgling but when he could not, Shezaan was taken and beaten into submission and forced into a lamp and held there for months on end. He endured this cruelty for several years before the fledgling's spirit was finally broken.
The was the last time he ever saw his caretaker or his brother. He had meekly asked what he had been named so that he could carry his brother's memory with him. He'd been told that his brother had been named Aixa. Shezaan vowed that someday, he would somehow find him again. Hold his brother tightly in his arms and never part with him again. Shezaan did not know how to describe how he felt about Aixa. It was a feverish and passionate longing to have him near, to be able to see him, to touch him. Just to hear his voice. Shezaan had unwittingly shown to his human slave masters that his weak point was Aixa. The humans would threaten to torture or kill Aixa if Shezaan did not comply with their demands. Unable to bear the thought of his harm, Shezaan became fully passive.
The years rolled on much the same way until Solomon's fall. Shezaan did not take part in the battlefield. Instead he drifted away, broken and alone. He wandered the deserts for nearly a century before he collapsed beneath a palm tree and curled into a ball. The solitude was destroying him and he could no longer bear it. His screams of anguish and loss carried on the winds. He coiled himself into his lamp, all but read to be forgotten and disappear. Centuries passed when he was found by a strange woman with ebony hair and brilliant blue eyes.
He was reluctant to trust at first, after, she looked quite human and resembled the ones who had tormented him and his kind. But, yet, he could tell she was different. She was soft spoken and gentle. His new mistress kindly introduced herself as The Goddess. As Shezaan began to trust her, he clung to her like a terrified child. The Goddess was more than happy to indulge him, wanting very much to try and undo the torment that had been done to him. He traveled with The Goddess in her strange ship called The TARDIS.
Their relationship was more like dear friends than mistress and djinn. She never once made a wish from him, but rather treated him like an equal, which Shezaan was not used to. But he came to adore The Goddess. When The Goddess brought a human aboard The TARDIS, Shezaan immediately disliked the tall and messy haired man. He constantly made a point to come between The Goddess and the man who called himself Nate. Shezaan felt nothing but animosity towards him, namely for being human, but also because he was drawing The Goddess' attentions from him.
The annoying human traveled with them as The Goddess' companion, much to Shezaan's dismay. Even though she had never directly made a wish, he could not disobey her request to be civil with Nate. So he sulkily complied. About a year into the human traveling with them, his Goddess told him he had to leave. Shezaan could not have been happier at that moment. But it was quickly shattered when The Goddess told him that he needed to leave as well. Shezaan begged and pleaded her to reconsider but she quietly embraced him and kissed his forehead and gently told him “A war is coming. I want you safe. And the safest place for you to be is away from me, Shezaan” and that was all she would tell him.. He begged and insisted that he could protect her and that is place was meant to be by her side. But she would not let him sway her and gently gave him back his lamp and returned him to earth. Heartbroken and rejected, Shezaan wandered. The earth had changed so much since he'd left with The Goddess. He'd traveled with her nearly five years and he'd seen so many amazing things but still knew so little about hos home world. Earth held nothing but unkind memories for him.
Unsure how to fit in among humans, Shezaan chose to remain in his feline form, wearing his lamp around his neck like a collar, traveling uncertain and alone and afraid, but so desperate for someone to hold him in their arms so he could cry. A few months after returning to earth, he found himself accidentally crossing the path of several stray dogs. Terrified, Shezaan fled, the infernal hounds hot on his heels. As he rounded the corner, he saw a man exiting a building that smelled of animals. Thinking this man was possibly wise in the way of animals, Shezaan ran straight at him, leaping and sinking his claws into his chest and using the tall man's height as his savior to escape the rabid and terrifying hounds of hell (Which, incidentally happened to be a chihuahua and a yorkie).
Enter Shezaan's new master.
Additional medical information: Completely androgynous. When in a human shape, Shezaan is neither male nor female, unless it is specifically requested by a master or mistress. Has severe separation anxiety and claustrophobia. Allergic to Salt.
