Finn was walking across the park casually, on possibly the weirdest day of her life, when it happened. Of course, she didn't know it was going to be the weirdest day of her life, at least, not yet.
For now, Finn was feeling happy and lucky and...well, alive. She skipped a little as she walked, a smile pasted onto her face. She looked up at the sky, grinning.
As Finn sat down on the swings and began to swing, she heard a strange noise, but assuming it was the swing, she just swung very high, before jumping off, landing neatly on her feet.
After that, she walked towards the forest, smiling brightly again. Nothing could spoil this day, she thought. Absolutely nothing. Finn suddenly stopped dead, her eyes widening in confusion and shock, at what she could see in front of her, slap bang in the middle of a forest.
It was a blue box. It had 'Police' written on it, but somehow, since it was out in a forest near a park, Finn doubted it was a police kind of thing. She walked over to it, resting her hand on the handle and, taking a deep breath, she pushed the door.
Locked. She pulled it just to make sure, but no, it was definitely locked. Finn knocked on the door, and she picked up a pin and even tried to pick the lock. Nope, it wasn't having any.
Finn didn't hear footsteps until it was far too late. She looked up, her eyes wide, and quickly got to her feet.[/font]
The Doctor loved parks. They were either solitary and allowed him to have some time for private thoughts, or bustling with positive energy from people having all sorts of fun. He couldn't help but enjoy these kinds of places, they fit him to a tee.
Today, he'd needed one of the quiet types. So, he landed in the woods, taking a stroll through the trees before he'd head out into the park. The Doctor could feel it today, Amelia and Rory plaguing his mind. He knew that they were alright, or, they had been, in the end. However, it still wasn't the same. The Doctor missed both of them, dearly, especially Amelia.
And so, he retired. Quit the meddling in time and space before falling into the shadows. He only came out when someone who knew him reached out to him, and that was a seldom few. The numbers of those aware of The Doctor dwindled constantly, he was more myth than man at this point.
He looked around the forest, enjoying nature itself. He chatted with the trees, it was nice to have a pleasant conversation with an Oak, they were always so polite. He was mindful of the smaller plants and animals, enjoying the company. When time finally caught up with him, The Doctor began the trek back to the TARDIS, whistling lightly between steps.
Nearing the TARDIS, The Doctor happened upon a curious sight, someone had happened upon his temporal home, and certainly was trying to find her way inside. She seemed determined, so The Doctor gave her a few attempts to get inside. It was entertaining to say the least.
When he saw her retrieve a pin and attempt to pick his lock, The Doctor decided it might be best to end the game. She'd had her three tries, or was it four? He'd not been counting, to be honest. Now, The Doctor would go up and see what this girl was up to.
"'Scuse me," The Doctor called out, startling the young woman a bit, "Oh. Sorry! Didn't mean to frighten you, it's just, that's my home you're trying to break into." He offered her a cheeky smile, "You wouldn't happen to have a similar looking box missing, would you? Because this one, unfortunately for you, is mine."
Finn blushed deeply as the guy approached her, and she straightened up, hanging her head. "No, I don't have a home/box like this one. I guess you could say I'm...curious, as to what it may be doing in a forest like this one."
"And it's a weird home if I ever saw one. It's very unique, but a little...eccentric, if I may. I don't see how anybody would want to live in such...such a cramped space."
Finn cocked an eyebrow, and crossed her arms. "So, care to explain, try to get me to leave, or am I going to have to find out what's going on here by myself, as tiring as that can be?"
Finn was just curious, and a bit suspicious here, and she wanted to know what was going on. There were so many questions bubbling up inside her, she feared if they were left unanswered, she could possibly explode.
