Physical Description: Even though one of his parents ia half human, his biology has no traces of Human. He is actually ½ Time Lord and ½ Karlaithyan, But he still claims his human lineage to spare others the confusion and avoid trying to give a biology lesson. All through his life, he has been tall but lanky, his figure being rather feminine. Long legs, thin frame, even long slender fingers like his Papa. His long bangs framing his youthful face don’t help with his feminine looks. He has bright vivid green eyes inherited from his father, who in turn inherited them from his mother. His hair was a dark brown as a child but it darkened to thick wavy black in adulthood. His skin is pale but lightly sun-kissed. By the time he is fully mature, he is still thin but well toned, standing at 6' even and weighing around 140 lbs. His skin is lightly marked by scars and burns, the typical battle scars of youth.

There are four scars that stand out on him:

• Mouth: There is a thin vertical scar that runs through the right side of his lips. When he smiles, the scar causes the right side of his lips to twist upwards slightly, making him look as though he is smirking, giving him a very cocky looking smile.
  
  
• Face: There is a thin gash that runs diagonally across his face, It reached from just above his left eyebrow, across the bridge of his nose and under his right eye. It's his most obvious scar.
  
  
• Neck: Running horizontally across his throat is a rope burn scar just under his Adam's Apple. The result of someone trying to hang him.
  
  
• Left Bicep: This scar was the result of a Black Mamba bite. He tried slicing his arm open to suck out the venom, but the neurotoxin had already deadened the nerves in his arm, leaving the whole arm feeling numb. From his shoulders to his fingertips, he has no sensation but still has full use of the arm.
  

He speaks both English and French fluently, his accent a soft mingle of the two. When in a pinch, a trick he learned from his Papa, when he throws on the thick heavy French, people tend to dismiss him as just a stupid foreign kid that doesn’t know any better.

His choice of clothing as a child made him look as though he belonged in the early Earth 80's. He wore ratty denim jeans with rips across the knees.. And not those designer rips, the holes in his pants were well earned from daily wear and tear of being a rambunctious child. He usually has a plain Grey t-shirt with a faded denim jacket over that and a plaid long sleeve shirt tied about his waist, and red converse sneakers.

As an adult, he closely resembles a Catholic priest. He wears long black slacks, a black button down mid collar dress shirt with a high white shirt collar, and a rosary around his neck. The appearance was completely unintentional, but the high white collar serves to conceal a scar on his neck,

Personality:

• Family Oriented: He is fiercely loyal to his family, especially his Papa, Rio. He greatly admires the relationship between his mother and father. While he doesn’t always show it, he adores his little brothers, Gavri and Nico. He fondly daydreams of finding and rescuing is twin sister, Fleur. He still isn't sure about Kitty, the newest addition that his mother adopted. In Rio's absence, Léon feels obligated to look over his family in his Papa's place since he is the oldest.
  
  
• Optimistic: He is very optimistic, a cheerful trait he picked up from his papa, always trying to find a bright side in the most grim situations. Although he really isn't, Leon comes across as very naive with an innocent view of the world around him. He knows the world is anything but kind, but he always tries to see the best in people, even when it isn't there.
  
  
• Short Temper: Leon has a savage temper. He does his best to keep it in check by keeping is mind busy with repairing things, but when he finally hits that point, he turns physically violent and goes into a blind rage. He once broke every bone in another boys face for pushing a girl. It took two grown adults to pull Leon off of him., and even the adults nearly got the brunt of his rage. He always feels like a horrible person afterward, upset that he seems to have no control when angry. He eventually came to have better control of his temper as he got older. But even as an adult, his temper is easily flared when his family is insulted, or when he sees a woman being mistreated.
  
  
• Impatient and Stubborn: Leon has a hard time planning ahead and waiting for things to play out in their own good time. He much prefers to see results right away and hates waiting, often feeling antsy. He can also be impossibly and infuriatingly stubborn once he has made up his mind. His Papa says that it is the Frenchman in him.
  
  
• Survivalist: Leon also has a very strong survival instinct, a trait picked up from his Papa. He's a good runner and swimmer, and despite his thin frame, has a good resistance to extreme weather conditions. He is also more than capable of holding his own in a fight, and he wont hesitate to do what it takes to protect someone.
  
  
• Mechanically Inclined: Leon has a hard time wrapping his head around Time Travel. He understands the basic concept but when someone tries to explain 'Alternate Realities', 'fixed and fluxed points', 'crossing time lines' and meeting future or past selves, Leon just smiles and nods. But when it comes to Mechanics, he may not know how to explain it, but he is amazingly intelligent when it comes to all things Mechanical. He loves working with his hands and loves taking thinks apart and putting them back together. When he does, things seem to work better than before. It was a talent his family realized he had when he was about eight.
  

History: Léonardo Xavier Keâts is the first born son of Maggie and Rio Keâts and is a twin. Maggie had a fairly active and stressful pregnancy. When Maggie was barely two months pregnant, (And still unaware of her delicate condition) She'd unwittingly gotten arrested by the man who had made a career of trying to bring his Papa 'to justice'. When his mother refused to cooperate with the detective, the man lost his temper and hit his mother in the face, breaking her cheekbone, splitting her lip and leaving her face horribly bruised. The stress of the encounter nearly caused his mother to miscarry. It wasn't until well after a daring rescue that Maggie learned she was pregnant.... With twins.

The exact day and time of Leon and Fleur's birth are a slight mystery. They were born aboard a TARDIS while it was experiencing a timing malfunction and Maggie was only seven and a half months pregnant. The malfunction caused half of Maggie's body to phase out of it's proper dimension causing the twins to go into fetal distress which kick started Maggie's labor. Fleur disappeared entirely and was never actually born, vanishing from the TARDIS. But despite being born so early, Leon was strong and healthy. As a baby, Leon seemed to prefer his father. Try as she might, Maggie could never rock Leon to sleep or soothe him when he cried. Rio was the only one who could comfort him.

When Leon was two, his mother died and regenerated. Leon was too young to understand that she was still his mother and clung almost obsessively to his father for the next few months. Shortly after he turned three, Leon's baby brother, Gavri, came into the world. It wasn't until Leon was nearly six before he was mature enough to accept that Maggie was still his mother and in turn, accept his brother Gavri.

Leon and Gavri were as different as day from night. Granted, both greatly resembled their papa, but Leon had his papa's impossibly bright green eyes when Gavri took after their mother. Her second incarnation had brilliantly pale blue eyes. The other way in which they differed was that Leon was outspoken, snarky, and a bit of a wild child. His brother was meek, tenderhearted, and a complete mama's boy. While he loved his little brother, Leon took every opportunity to poke fun at him. Leon's favorite taunt was insisting that Gavri was not a Keâts because he did not possess the Karlaithyan Green Eyes. That was quickly nipped in the bud when Rio pulled Leon to the side and reprimanded him for suggesting that his mother had bore the child of another man. Leon hadn't realized that was had also been insulting his mother.

When Leon turned eight, his parents came to realize that the boy was a mechanical genius. The child had taken the most mundane and unrelated things, put them together and had made his own sonic screwdriver. A trait that Rio insists he inherited from his grandfather, Tomaz.

When Leon turned thirteen, he had discovered an old shorted out Vortex Manipulator while poking about in his parent's room. Their room is usually off limits which only intensified Leon's curiosity. He wasn't sure exactly what the purpose of the device was for, but somehow he knew what he needed to do to fix it. It needed a new transistor core and the wires had been corroded. He took it to his room to tinker with, salvaging the supplies he needed from other junked projects. He'd fixed it in less that 15 minutes and accidentally activated it. That landed him in South Africa.

He was alone and terrified for three days in The African Wilderness before getting bit by a black mamba and running into so two people he did not expect. His papa, Rio.. and a very young Maria. (His Grandmother) He tried very hard not to give away who he was, but in his panic, accidentally called Rio 'Papa'. To make an already awkward and stressful situation worse, the black mamba venom stopped one of his hearts and he had to be rushed into Maria's Zero Room to administer treatment and restart his heart. He was given a shot of pure adrenaline to kick start his heart after being given the antivenom. This unfortunately gave Leon an adrenaline addiction problem later in life.

His papa practically interrogated Leon for answers, particularly who his mother was. But Leon diligently avoided answering insisting that if could alter time lines if he knew. Rio eventually abandoned the inquiry when he realized that his son was actually as stubborn as he was. Leon eventually returned home, after bidding his grandmother and Papa a very fond farewell, but not before asking his Papa “Don’t be too mad when I get home, okay? It was an accident”

Additional Medical Information: Leon has two healthy beating hearts and amazing lung capacity. Gifts from his Time Lord and Karlathian anatomy. After an incident in Africa when he was 13, he has an adrenaline addiction. He will often do reckless things to get a rush. Due to the scar on his throat, he can not stand to have his neck touched. It makes him feel claustrophobic. Fear of needles. Nothing happened to him involving needles but his Papa's violent aversion to them always stayed with Leon.
