The Doctor took a deep breath to steady himself. "Amy, trust me. I'll get us out of this." He patted her arm and let go of her hand. "Just keep looking at it, but not the eyes, remember? I'll get the door open." He tried to force it open, but it didn't work. Oh well, never hurts to try. Then he took out the sonic and started working with it. "Come on, come on...this should work with TARDIS doors..."
At this point, River appeared in the TARDIS. Now she wasn't there by chance. No, Amy had told her of this in the future, and she was needed to help prevent it. She ran to stand beside Amy, and something on the Vortex Manipulator caused the lights to go on. "Don't look at the eyes, Amy. It's good to see you, both of you." River said. She kept her eyes on the angel whilst going to the door to try and help him open it. She gave the door a little shove and as the screwdriver was already working on it the door opened. River grabbed Amy and started to pull her out. "Keep looking!" she said to Amy before dragging her out of the room and into the corridor.
((Hope you don't mind me jumping in here! My post isn't very big as you guys had already started and stuff. xD))
((No no, by all means jump in!)) "River!" Amy breathed in relief. She kept her eyes on the angel. However, Amy's eyes flickered and the angel had crawled closer. When River pulled her out of the room though, Amy sighed in relief. "The lights have come back on..what did you do?" Amy asked River.
"River?" the Doctor asked when he heard his wife's voice and Amy saying her name. He turned to look just as the curly-haired blond went over to Amy and somehow put the lights back on. Of course she could do that. It was River. And they could use the help right about now, so he was grateful when she managed to get the door open. As River pulled Amy out of the room, the Doctor followed close behind and quickly closed the door on the Angel. A zap of the sonic locked the door. Hopefully that would hold it.
He turned to face his wife and her mother. Oh, time-travelling families. "Good to see you," he said with a grin to River. "How've you been?"
"Hello Sweetie." River grinned. Just like old times. She glanced at Amy, then at the Doctor. This was like a massive family. Her author noted that good minds think alike. River doesn't exactly have a good mind..more bad....
"I've been okay, I guess." River shrugged. "Bored. But what do we do about the angel?" River said, pointing at the door. As if on cue, the door began to shudder and shake. "It's going to get through, Doctor, what are we going to do?"
Amy groaned when the angel began to rattle the door. But she remained silent. Suddenly the door came off it's hinges and there stood the angel, as if nothing had happened. It was still, but the face it had on was scary as hell. And it was still pointing at the light. It began to flicker again, then went off completely. Amy fumbled for her torch but it rolled down the corridor. She sighed in frustration and ran after it. Something tripped her up, or so it felt like as Amy hit the ground with a shriek, fumbling around the floor for her torch.
The Doctor clapped his hands together and rubbed them whenever River asked her question. "First of all, we need to get back to the console room and check everything. We'll be able to find out how the Angel got in here and fix any problems there might be. Now, before we-" But he didn't get to say any more before the Angel appeared again and the lights went out.
"Not again..." he breathed, fishing the sonic out of his pocket again. He tried to work with it and use it as a torch, and got it on. Just as a sudden pain caused him to scream and fall back into someone. He couldn't tell who it was in this darkness.
River blinked and steadied the Doctor when he fell back into her. "Careful! Are you okay?" she asked. Then she heard Amy fall. "Amy?" she called. Then the lights flickered on. The Angel was right in front of her. She leaped back, surprised, and then the lights went off again, causing River to trip over someone and land on the floor.;
