-Doctor, doctor, where ya at?...
My body needs a hero
Come and save me
Something tells me you know how to save me-
My body needs a hero
Come and save me
Something tells me you know how to save me-
The popular song played over the speakers of the empty TARDIS. A strange beauty with a narrow waist was listening to the song as it played, her head tilted listening to the lyrics. After a moment she began quietly singing with it, "Make me come alive, come on and turn me on.
Touch me, save my life, come on and turn me on
I'm too young to die, come on and turn me on." She swayed her hips and they looked natural, perfectly human. The Doctor was off, Allons-y-ing somewhere she was sure, so she should be safe for a while longer to continue making the final repairs to the new android body she was occupying. She being the TARDIS, yes, the ship has a soul remember? A soul, a heart, a brain, so along with those things comes something else. A personality.
For as much as the universe as the Doctor saw when he looked hard enough, she saw more. She saw it all. She could feel the shifting of the universe, see the future, remember the past and be aware of the present. The TARDIS was inside every person who came through her doors (The wrong way mind you. The doors do say 'PULL' not 'PUSH'.) Her eyes narrowed a bit as she looked at her reflection in the mirror, not entirely wearing enough clothing at present. She was in the dressing room where she found a white dress, simple, pretty, gauzy and thin. Pulling it out she pressed it against her frame, tilting her head, her wild brown curls going all over the place, messily pulled up on the back of her neck. "White... like snow. I love the snow. Who doesn't though. The crunch of it when you land. -crunch crunch crunch-!" She spoke quickly, almost insanely as she pulled the dress on and took a moment to spin. "Snow falls and so do feathers. Rivers in the woods sing their songs. The smell of dust after the storm. The storm. The oncoming storm. The Doctor."
She gasped, seeing the Doctor coming home to her soon. Oh, she loved her Doctor. He was mad just like her. He was a hero and though she was never thanked and he never said it... but she knew he loved her too. When he had ran away from Gallifrey there had been a TARDIS left unlocked. Waiting for her Doctor to come and take her to see the universe. She had never expected it would hurt so bad at times. To see people lost to them. To be invaded by The Master and used for evil. To witness the changing of her beloved Time Lord so many times. She hated to see him in pain, to be sad. How she had always wished to have arms to hold him when things got difficult. Now she did though! She had arms, and legs. Ten fingers, ten toes, two eyes, one nose, no belly button but... why did she need one? They were useless little holes after all.
A sudden sharp fear struck her deeply... what if he wasn't happy? What if he didn't want her to have a body? Maybe he wanted to pretend she was just a machine... "Oh, that is silly. What is the emotion. Oh, it's on the tip of my tongue... Anagogic? No... no that's certainly not it. Noxious? No! The two words. Put the words together. Smash them together and what is it. What is the emotion?" She growled a bit, pacing now, frustrated that she can't think of the world. She can see all of time and space and forgets words. Simple words. Finally, the word struck her and she shouted it out.
"ANXIOUS!"
