She had to make sure the doors were locked this time. A girl stepped out of what looked like a red coffee shop, and used a tiger-striped pink-and-white key to lock the door. Actually, that coffee shop was a TARDIS, and this wasn't any ordinary girl, no matter what it looked like. Most people were passing her, not looking twice. After all, it was normal to get your kid to lock up the shop when the hours were over. The girl slipped the key into her pocket and headed away from the coffee shop.
She was smiling brightly as she looked around her. Roxanna Michaels was new to this particular part on Earth. She wasn't quite sure where she was, however there was a beach there, that led to the sea. Roxy felt the urge, suddenly, to go to the sea. And so, as she never let any want (that was possible) remain unfulfilled, the small girl began to walk towards the sea, her eyes shining, and her smile staying in place. She skipped slightly for a while, then stopped since she knew it would make her look very strange...okay, maybe not, but she was self-conscious. No judgement.
Roxy looked around her as she walked towards the beach, her hair blowing out behind her. it was 4:30 PM, and many families were packing up their things. The 11 year old girl, however, walked past them all and towards the sea, seeming not to notice the younger kids watching her. Younger kids watched everyone, after all, it wasn't something to look forward to. She stopped just by the sea, her hair blowing out behind her. Roxy knew it would be seriously tangled when she finally got back to her TARDIS and brushed it, but she didn't care. The waves were quite rough today, and as they came crashing into the beach, Roxy was sprayed with water and salt.
Honestly, though, she didn't mind. She loved the sea. She was very tempted to swim in it right now, but she knew that when the tide came in properly, which would only be a matter of time, it would be too fierce too get out of. Well, probably. So, instead, Roxy watched the waves, and the sun, listening to the birds sing above the chatter of the people leaving the beach. She looked to her left and saw that the beach went on for quite a while.
And so, intrigued as she was, Roxy began to walk along the beach, the waves splashing around her feet as she went. She studied her surroundings carefully as she walked, since people-watching was something the girl loved doing. She turned to look ahead of her, wondering how far the beach went.
