Name: Aloradelvankut
Alias: The Navigator
Age: 120
Gender: Female
Species: Time Lady
Planet of Origin: Gallifrey
Occupation: Unemployed
Physical Description:
The Navigator has only one life, and in that life she is about 5’5” with a hint of freckles on her easy-to-tan skin. She has dark brown hair, which she frequently wears dyes a lighter, warmer color. Her hair is not sleek, it’s a little thick and has flyaways. If she puts some time into it, she can manage some soft, romantic curls, but usually she just lets it air-dry.
She has a square jaw, yet everything else about her face contains soft curves. Her eyes have a naive and youthful shape and are the color of a deep, rich chocolate. While the Navigator looks like a woman of maybe twenty-five or thirty, her expressions speak loudly of her carefree- almost childlike approach to life.
The Navigator’s wardrobe has quite the variety to it. When she visits a place, she wants to experience that culture to the fullest. She’ll try their food, no matter how strange, and she’ll wear their clothes- no matter how demanding.
Personality:
The Navigator is a very earnest Time Lady. Perhaps she would have made a great, sincere poet if she was able to keep her sanity. She’s very possessive and protective. Life is incredibly important to her. She holds a unique belief that no one is truly rotten to the core. Everyone has their reasons for doing something, even if that something is out of their control. It’s partly because death is her worst fear and her own weighs on her shoulders every waking second. She can almost feel the clock ticking away down to her last second. She understands that one simply cannot get better from death. You never recover. If given a chance, anyone can make a change and make their life something worthwhile. She would defend Adolf Hitler himself if she ran into him.
The Navigator also has a bad habit of picking up strays. Sometimes sentient beings, but also animals. Stray cats, alien pets, she even has a horse in her TARDIS. His name is Tony. She tries to give each creature a good home and a good life, but she puts so little consideration into who she saves that she could easily lose track of who lives in her TARDIS, who is just hitching a ride, and who she never invited.
Something that irks the High Council to no end is her complete and utter disregard for rules in general. Though her worst crime is interfering with time by saving someone’s life, she is known to break into people’s houses and occasionally stealing the things she needs. She likes to play “Santa Claus” for children and also has a bad habit of not asking their parents’ permissions before taking them on a field trip. Who she is, is no secret. She’ll admit it plainly to anyone, that she is a Time Lady if asked.
The Navigator has an excellent brain... it’s just a little out of her control. It races and thinks about different things at once. It makes her a bit forgetful and that added to her love of “getting into character” when she travels through time... it leaves her companions wondering if she’s actually forgotten who she was ten minutes ago because now she’s the first alien musketeer with a drinking problem... that we know of...
History:
Aloradelvankut was born from a loom and raised in a proper Gallifreyan home on a hill. She has fond memories of rolling down the grass and climbing trees. Her father and mother were in the same business of growing TARDISes and sometimes she got to go with them on the test drives. Those were the best trips and she was always sad to say goodbye to the universe. Gallifrey was beautiful, but compared to the whole universe.... there was just too much to see.
Those first eight years went by so very quickly, she soon found herself being initiated into her future life of being a time lady. She looked into the time vortex through the Untempered Schism... and as they say, some look and are inspired, others go mad, and some run away.
Aloradelvankut was convinced that she was inspired, but in actuality had gone mad. She saw something that no one should ever see. The last page of her book, so to speak. It was the most painful experience she had ever endured and yet she could not pull herself away from it. She stood there staring until they pulled her away. It was a fixed point. She would not live to see her second regeneration. She could remember details of how it was to happen, but the fact was nailed to her heart.
Her years in school was brief, she learned what she believed she needed to know and thought she could figure the rest out for herself. It wasn’t hard to obtain her own TARDIS, seeing as her parents usually had some that were still being tested. While she was in school, she picked up the title, “The Navigator” for herself. She wanted to be people’s north star, the designated driver. She wanted to jump into people’s routine lives and show them all of what she couldn’t peel her eyes away from.
She is not exactly Gallifrey’s favorite Time Lady, she will do whatever it takes to save another person’s life, no matter how it affects the space-time continuum. If she were ever caught, she would face one heck of a trial.
The Navigator is out to make the best life she could for herself, seeking out as many experiences as possible, granting stranger’s random wishes, anything... because she knows very well how it all ends.
When the Time War started, The Navigator did her best to hide and avoid it. But as it escalated to the point that the lower species were dying over and over again in some unending hell, she couldn’t stay away. She was given the duty of watching the Gallifreyan children, because they knew she could not be trusted on the battlefield.
Her clock was ticking slower and slower. There was a rumor that the infamous Doctor was intending to kill all, daleks and time lords alike, and she couldn’t bare to see the children under her care perish. So she took all twenty six of them aboard her TARDIS and disappeared.
Things were working out, but like it happens every time... a distress beacon entered her TARDIS. Someone was calling out for help. Someone’s life depended on the Navigator.
There was no question, she drove her Tardis to the bubble in time and found herself on a living planet which soon introduced himself as the House. She had lead the children to the slaughter as she did every single time. When she herself was used as spare parts, something went wrong in her regeneration and she failed to make it to her second life. As it happens every time.
Her last thought is forever the same, through the hopelessness a moment of faith that somehow... someway... her fate could be rewritten.

“Excuse me, Tony.” The Navigator said to the sweet gray-painted horse. She loved his name. It rhymed with pony, “I need to reach the vortex manipulator.”
Her TARDIS trembled and shook, a few animals scurried this way and that, only Tony was really used to it. With an annoyed look on his face, he walked down the hall to his stable. She had a stable in her TARDIS. It used to be a spare bedroom, but a little hay it worked just fine. Standing on her toes, the Navigator leaned forward to switch a lever and because there wasn’t a second driver to switch the other lever, her TARDIS jerked to the left, sending a what looked like a glass jar full of something black falling off one of her couches.
Squeaking, the Navigator dove after it. A long time ago she had captured an unruly group of vashta nerada trying to eat a little italian girl. Now, the Navigator could take care of them and they wouldn’t hurt a fly ever again.
Except now her TARDIS was veering off course with no driver. The Navigator leapt to her feet and began to reorient her ship. With a forceful thud it landed gracefully.
“There we are, planet Midnight!” The Navigator said with pleasure to anyone who might be listening, “A tourist’s favorite and yet not a soul has ever touched it... and lived anyway.”
“Pardon me,” A meek voice came out in reply, “I think my mother is expecting me now.”
The Navigator turned around to see someone she didn’t recognize. A tiny italian girl with frail brown hair looked up at her with wide eyes.
“Oh! Hello there!” The Navigator smiled, putting her hands on her knees so she was at eye-level with the girl, “Who might you be?”
“I’m Lisa del Giocondo.” she said, “I told you that before... when you were saving me from the shadows.”
“Sorry, I’m bad with names. I’ll take you home right now.” the Navigator grinned, and the little girl smiled softly in return, “You know, you’ve got a great smile. Reminds me of the Mona Lisa.”
“Who’s Mona Lisa?” Lisa asked,
“1487? You might meet her in a few years, but she won’t be famous until centuries later.” The Navigator said, starting her disgruntled TARDIS up.
