(Sometimes) Susan J. English was in the middle of the fountain with the pretty water shooty uppy things. Her dress was soaked, her shoes were elsewhere, and her heart-shaped sunglasses were misty with water. The blue eyes squinted as she noticed an... outhouse... rather violently landing (except it seemed to have come from nowhere, but Susan didn’t find that odd) ten or so meters away from her. She giggled, looking at the flower basket. How interesting!
Susan bounced over to the outhouse curiously, poking the back of it. She heard someone come out of it and giggled, but bit her lip to be secretive like a goblin. She listened as the woman rambled on about blending in and she gasped. “You must be related to Grandfather Time!” Susan yelled, bursting from her hiding place and staring up at the woman with wide eyes. She looked every bit the part of a starry eyed wanderer. “That’s awesome! I love blending in! I’m good at blending in! Oh gosh, are you with the gnomes?” she asked, pushing up the heart-shaped glasses.
She looked up at the flag. “No, the gnomes aren’t British. They’re French,” Susan reasoned, tapping her lips. “Ooh! Marigold would love to meet you! She loves meeting people related to Grandfather Time!” she chirped brightly, poking the outhouse. “Why do you live in there? That’s a bit odd! I live in a house, with Marigold, and The Gnome King, and sometimes the Dragon, and oh! An Alphyn!”
Marisol was in a panic. Susan was gone. Again. And Aixa was no help. He found the whole situation amusing and just shrugged her off. But she just couldn't be mad at him. He was more than just her jinn, he was her friend. She ruffled his hair and told him to call her the moment Susan came home, if she wasn't back yet. That was almost two hours ago. She had stopped and asked just about every stranger she came across if that had seen Susan, offering them a picture of her. She was just about to give up hope and turn to the police department to file a missing person's report.
The only reason she didn't was because she was certain she didn't want to see that grumpy Detective Cross again. Especially after she'd nearly clubbed him to death with her cleats when he'd called Susan a lunatic. Yeeeeah, she really didn't want to see Cross again since she now had 'Assault of a Police Officer' on her record thanks to him. She flashed the picture to one last person, thinking she was about to meet another dead end when the lady said she just saw her a few moments ago playing in the water fountain in Hyde Park.
Marisol had never run faster or harder, not even in a game. When she got to the park, there was Susan, soaking wet with the biggest happiest grin on her face and rambling about God only knew what to some woman standing beside... a really tiny looking shack. A shack that she was fairly certain had never been there before. She marched up, not angrily but absolutely relieved that Susan was alright and threw her arms around her in a tight hug.
“Dios Mio, Susan! I was so worried! Are you alright?? You're soaked!” she then turned her attention to the woman with a thankful but apologetic smile.
