Name: Tara Carver
Title: The Governess
Age: Ages range from 16 to 1,725 depending on Incarnation
Gender: Female
Species: Gallifreyan
Planet of Origin: Born on a TARDIS
Occupation: Becomes a School Teacher in her later incarnations.
Physical Description:
Tara, in the majority of her regenerations, has the most brilliant bright blue eyes you could ever hope to see. They are wide and curious, shining with intelligence. Her skin is a fair complexion with round cheeks and soft pink lips. Her hair is a soft blonde that falls in thick waves, cascading a bit past her shoulders. She's fairly thin but not so much that she appears underweight. She has a kind and genuine smile
Personality:
- Incarnations 1 - 4: Tara is still a young and inexperienced young Gallifreyan. She's bright and curious but somewhat rebellious against authority figures. She dislikes being told what to do, and lives life by her own set rules. While Tara may think this lifestyle is just peachy keen, it makes her a bit reckless. She can sometimes be easily led, which is what lands her into most of the trouble she gets into.
- Incarnations 5 & 6: Having matured considerably, Tara has finally found her purpose in life. Tara inherited her mother's love and desire to teach and care for children. While History was never something she took much interest in, she found she had a lot to offer her students in the fact she could show them the most wondrous things by taking them on spontaneous field trips in her TARDIS, 'Nadia'.
- Incarnations 7 & 8: After spending several years as a modern day teacher, Tara found she much preferred the Victorian Era. Even though it was a time when Women were considered simpletons, Tara seemed to enjoy turning the men's perception of her, right on their ears. Consistently through all her incarnations, Tara has a gentle and compassionate outlook, but she knows how to lay off the sass when someone crosses her.
History: When Tara was born, there was a lot of confusion surrounding her arrival. Her mother, The Whisper, had been perfectly healthy in every regard with the pregnancy. No abnormal symptoms. But, it was not to last. Without warning, only seven months pregnant, Whisper began bleeding uncontrollably as if her water had broken. Tara's delivery was agonizing but quick. Whisper did not survive the delivery. She died before she even saw her new born daughter.
Tara spent the first two months of her fragile life inside an incubator hooked to a breathing machine. Her father, The Shadow, kept constant watch over her, monitoring her vitals while The TARDIS, called Nadia, did everything within it's power to keep the infant time lord alive. The Shadow became fiercely protective of that little girl.
As she grew, she was always small and frail looking, but Tara proved to be a strong willed and determined child. But, despite her independent nature, she clung to Shadow in every regard. He was all she knew. She slept by Shadow's side, stubbornly refusing to sleep in her own room, until she was about six when Shadow finally put his foot down and told her she was ready for her own room.
As Tara rolled into her teen years, Tara started to become more keenly aware of how protective her father was and began to resent it, feeling like he was smothering her. She was not often allowed to leave the TARDIS without him, and she was never allowed far out of sight. But Tara had her mother's adventurous spirit and she wanted to see the universe, without constantly having to hold her father's hand.
But Tara would eventually have to learn the hard way that she really wasn't ready to be on her own. While Humans and Time Lords physically develop at the same rate, even though she was a teen, emotionally, Tara was still just a child and there were dangers in the universe that The Shadow had never told her about...
Tara Eventually discovers her passion in life and becomes a school teacher, the eras in which she resides ranging from Modern day London (And Occasionally The U.S.) all the way back to 1850's Victorian Era.
Addition Medical Information: Very slender and petite due to being a premature child, Asthma. Weaker lungs (has trouble breathing when stressed out or after running.) but otherwise perfectly healthy with average Gallifreyan anatomy.
