Physical Description:
She is rather tall, standing at about 5'8. She has a slender figure and stands rather elegantly. Instead of skin, she has green scales covering her entire body and the back of her head is oddly shaped in a typical Silurian fashion. She dresses in Victorian style clothing and often carries a sword with her.

Personality: 

Trait 1:

 She is typically very formal on all accounts, speaking in prolonged sentences and using titles instead of names for the most part. Even when speaking with someone she sees as a friend, she cannot help herself and will more often than not, slip into her formal tone of dialect. The only exception to this is when she's with her wife, Jenny.

Trait 2:

While not many people have seen this side of her, Vastra is a very, very cheeky little lizard when she wants to be. She'll make sly teases towards her friends and will joke around when the time does not call for serious behaviour all of the time. This is especially present with Jenny. If one looks closely, one can always see that will to tease in Vastra's eye when she is around.

Trait 3:

Wisdom is a strong point for Vastra. She has lived for so long that she has picked up a few things from her time on the surface. She is more than happy to share this wisdom onto others. Being someone as kind as she, it is almost impossible for her to just stand by and watch as people are lost in what to do or think, and so she tries her best to help them with some wise words. She loves to make even the smallest of differences with them.[/div]

Trait 4:

Short tempered. When Madame Vastra gets angry, which is quite a rare occurance but usually happens when the people she cares about are in danger, she can get quite reckless and acts before thinking. She'll go lengths that she normally wouldn't dream of and would even scold others for doing such. If she felt like she had to, in order to protect her friends, she would even kill in a blind rage.[/div]

Trait 5:

Clueless. There are quite a few things that Vastra does not quite understand about the Human race, even to this day. And there are many things that she hasn't even heard of. When she hears about even the simplest of things, there is a chance that she will appear very confused, for she does not know anything of the subject being discussed.[/div]

Trait 6:

Old fashioned. What has gotten her into quite a pickle in a number of occasions is the fact that Madame Vastra is very old fashioned. Favouring the Victorian era of her life, she never did get over how the people would speak and dress, and as such, fitting into the modern world has been a challenge for her, for quite a while. But due to her veil, she tells herself that she has no choice in the matter.

History: 

Vastra was slumbering along with the other Silurians who were with her when they were all suddenly awakened by the Humans causing quite a disturbance. Madame Vastra's first act of waking up was her short temper piping through as she murdered a number of humans upon reaching the surface. However, she was soon calmed down by The Doctor, who had reasoned with her and eventually befriended her. A friendship that would go on to last countless Human lifetimes and one with an incredibly strong bond of trust that would be shared for as long as the two would know each other. 

Madame Vastra soon decided she would try to fit in with society, wearing black clothes and a veil, all to disguise her lizard like appearence, she joined Scotland Yard and began work as a detective. While she was there, she hired a maid by the name of Jenny Flint. Before too long, Vastra's bond with Jenny grew and the two came to realise they loved each other. The duo would go on to marry and are now happily each other's wives. The two of them ran into The Doctor again and helped him on the battle for Demon's Run, where they met a Sontaran by name of Strax. After the battle, they healed him with alien technology and invited him to join their group as their butler. The three of them became the Paternoster Gang. Ever since, the three of them have been working together to solve mysteries and aid The Doctor when possible.

Addition Medical Information: 

While her lizard like scales are not a medical condition, they are the only reason that Madame Vastra has to wear a long veil to cover her entire face in public, as well as a hat on the back of her head to hide the exotic shape to her head.

RP Sample: 

Madame Vastra sipped her tea while working on a new case. She had to solve the mystery of a new killer who had begun taking the lives of civilians, he seemed to be working in a pattern, which is all the Silurian could figure out just by looking at the clues. This pattern, however, she was yet to figure out for herself.

"I have already tried the likely ones but no....it is not gender, as it was male, female, male, female, female, male, so far. No sign of a pattern there, it seemed such until the end. The ages are in such a variety, there is no way it could be that. Unless.....Strax! Get me medical records of the victims! I need to know their blood types!"
