Information recored about the Fifth incarnation of The Doctor
Name: Calls himself 'The Doctor' real name is unknown.
Age: Exact age is unknown, but it is thought to be anywhere from 600-800 years.
Gender: Male
Species: Time-Lord
Planet of Origin: Gallifrey
Occupation: "I like to think of myself as an explorer of space and time." Is what I was told. His real occupation is unidentified.
Describe his physical appearance:
Sandy blonde hair that is cut at medium length. It reaches his collar or just above it and he doesn't grow it out any further then that. He has light hazel eyes and a sort of tan complexion.
He is about six feet tall and not lanky like some of his other incarnations, but he is thinner then others. He has an open sort of oval shaped face.
He wears a white cricketeers jumper and red stripped tan pants. He also has question marks embroidered in the shirt collar and he wears a tan jacket with red piping. He wears white shoes and sometimes a panama hat that he can roll and put in his pocket. For an unknown reason he wears a stick of celery on his jacket's lapel. When confronted about this he simply stated, “Well you never know when you'll need a stick of celery.” It is believed to mostly be for decoration though.
Notable behavior:
When asked to summarize his personality he responded with this:
“I like to think I'm an agreeable man. I'm always up for negotiating instead of instigating death and destruction. I don't try to find trouble, but it always seems to find me.”
From research I gathered that he is passionate and his emotions are expressed freely except he tends not to show sorrow. He is a brave man and very loyal to his companions. He does try and find ways to save as many people as he can instead of jumping straight into any kind of battle. Though he may say that he doesn't want to cause trouble, trouble is caused because of him. Even though he never truly initiates anything often times danger happens because someone or something is trying to destroy him.
All together he seems to be a respectable man, if not a little ill tempered. He includes his companions as part of the team and teaches them things, though he doesn't seem to enjoy having to explain things over and over again. He can lose his temper sometimes, but seems to catch himself before he yells to much. Sometimes though if the situations is urgent he'll yell as much as needs to be done. Typically though he doesn't take charge if there is someone else in authority there. Unless of course a life is on the line then he'll step forward.
His past:
“Well to start from the beginning, not the very beginning of course, but the beginning of my regeneration, I had fallen off of a telescope radio dish in an attempt to stop the Master. I knew there was no way out and luckily the moment had been prepared for. Unfortunately, I had the bad luck of a failing regeneration. That was such a confusing time and I was trying hard to focus my energy into the regeneration process so a lot of it was a blur... Then I forgot who I was for a while and I was in a strange place.... Anyway my companions at the time were clever enough to get me help, even though the Master was making it difficult. After some near death experiences and some quick thinking I finally was on my feet again, and the Master was gone for the time being.
“It was then that we went on, Adric, Nyssa, Tegan and I, as I tried to get Tegan back to Earth, since she was a stow away. Well obviously it didn't go exactly as planned. We met some very narrow minded space frogs with funny hair, a bad encounter with a mara, started the Great fire of London, and played some cricket with Lord Cranleigh. I really am sorry for the Great Fire bit, but it couldn't be helped. My sonic screwdriver was also destroyed in my adventures as an added bonus.
“From there things got a bit... Muddled. I could tell for a while that Adric was becoming less and less content with the way things were. We had quite an argument, because he wanted me to take him back to E-space. Now that is a very dangerous thing to do if you don't know that already. Really we had barely made it back to normal space and he thought we could just pop back over there like you do when you go to visit a relative. Anyway I went out to think for a bit and got caught up in something big, as I always do. We had an encounter with the cybermen and to make a long story short Adric ended up being stranded on a ship set on a collision course with Earth. It was a collision that was suppose to happen of course, the collision that killed the dinosaurs, but Adric couldn't have possibly known that. He stayed behind to try and break through the cybermens' fixed coordinates. I imagine he was close and something must have gone wrong... It was my fault and there's nothing more to be said about it.
“We moved on of course and finally made it back to Earth at Heathrow airport in 1981. The only problem being that I hadn't set the coordinates for there. Tegan had agreed to stay on with me for a while longer so she was a bit upset as you can imagine. As it turned out the airport had lost a Concord very recently so I had to investigate, because it sounded like something important was happening. At that point it was my obligation to figure everything out. There was a time corridor and it transported us a long way back in time, where the Master had been stranded. He planned on using the psychic abilities of the combined Xeraphin to power his ship. I had thoguht for a while he'd bested me for the first time, but I tricked him and trapped him on the Xeraphin's home planet. After we got back and it all had been cleared up Tegan had gone off somewhere and I assumed that she had wanted to stay and get to work as a flight attendant so I left without her.”
After that he went on about how he stopped Omega from 're-existing', another encounter with the mara, how he met a young lad named Turlough that turned out to be an alien, when Nyssa stayed behind at Terminus, and how Turlough was being controlled by the Black Guardian in a plot to destroy the Doctor. He also spoke of how he met his past selves and was offered the presidency of Gallifrey, but chose to run from his responsibilities like he had when he first 'borrowed the TARDIS'.
Later records of him show that his two companions, Tegan and Turlough, were both returned to their home planets and he later died due to being exposed to the spectrox drug in its raw form. He chose to save his companion, Peri, and sacrifice himself.
Additional medical information: He is slightly near sighted in one eye and has two hearts. He is also allergic to certain gases in the 'Praxis range.'
Role Play Sample:
He stumbled slightly into one of the many rooms of the TARDIS. This was a slightly larger room and he had been in there many times before to let things think things over. He still couldn't believe what had happened. He had lost two companions in such a short span of time. Adric, the poor boy, had been killed because of him. If only he would have left Adric in E-space and not let him come with him. Then he would still be alive. He shook his head and ran his fingers through his hair. There were so many 'if onlys,' but none of them mattered now.
Then there was Tegan. She had left without even so much as a good-bye. Right when he was starting to like her too. She just went along into the air port and left him. Maybe it was better that way, but he still found that it hurt. It always hurt when someone left. He shook his head again and looked over to the plants hanging off of the pillars.
It would be best to harden himself and simply move on. Adric died honorably and Tegan deserved to go home after what she had been through. Nyssa was still with him and there was no doubt she was just as, if not more, upset as him. He had to be strong for her and show her that life still goes on even though you sometimes lose people. Hopefully they would have more time to rest before something else happened. So he pushed himself up and headed back to the corridors.
He found his way back to the console room and looked at the controls wistfully. I could take Nyssa to the Eye of Orion... Although as soon as he thought of it he knew that was the place they had to go. He nodded and walked up to the controls slowly and began setting the coordinates. “Here we go again old girl.” He mumbled slightly as he flipped the last lever. The TARDIS groaned and stood still. He couldn't help but smile slightly, Same as ever. He raised a fist and hit the console hard and finally it started towards the coordinates he had set.
