Canon
Name:Romanadrovatrelundar AKA Romana AKA Fred
Age:Approximately 140 years old by her first regeneration and then coming to her second regeneration she is about 200 plus years old.
Gender:Female; depending on her regeneration
Species:Gallifreyan/Time Lady
Planet of Origin:Gallifrey
Occupation:
Once gradutated she became apart of the Bureau of Ancient Records, afterward she soon became a companion of the Doctor. Later, she rose through the ranks and became the Lady President of Gallifrey.
Physical Description:
In her original body, Romana was relatively tall, with a full frame, curves in all the right places. Her hair was a chestnut brown and fell in loose curls to just below the shoulder. Her fringe was grown out so it was nonexistent and framed the sides of her face. Her skin tone was a pale ivory and her eyes were an icy blue ringed with darker blue at the edge of her iris. By her second form she had taken on the appearance of the princess Astra of Atrios. Her frame was much thinner, although she had a rounder, more youthful face. In this body, her hair was a dark blonde with an almost ginger tint. it was longer, about down to her shoulder blades and straightened, again with no fringe. Her eyes were blue still, and her skin tone was a slightly tanner tone, but still rather pale. By the Time War, Romana had regenerated once more and held a much harsher persona. Her hair, normally long was styled short in a bob, and her fringe was cut above her brow and was straight across her forehead. Her skin tone was pale as ivory in contrast to her ebony locks.
Personality:
Originally, Romanadvoratrelundar, was a bit of a know-it-all, and was not afraid to correct people whom had misstated any sort of information. Be it personal or not. She held a bit of a superiority complex at times and it showed with how she carried herself as she travelled. This changed as she realised that academic intelligence and experience may be great, but even if one is highly intelligent that without experience, there is still much to be learnt. From a young age, Romana was a bit of an ice-queen and by being so eventually was left in solitude at the Academy, although she preferred it that way. By the end of the search for the Key to Time, she'd gained an even greater sense of maturity.
This lead her to decision to regenerate. In her second body, she was more likely to be open-minded and cheerful. She could still have a temper at times, but was over all easy to get along with. In fact, while occasionally arguing with the Doctor, they grew closer and she was less and less of a by-the-book person. She had a strong will although she was prone in both of her forms to be a bit of a damsel in distress. She was still highly intellectual.
Enduring twenty years of torture made the young Time Lady realise how soft she'd become and so she regenerated again to take on a more harsh outlook on things. She was more mature, and took her rule with a strong mind. She in this form had taken on the title of Lady President and War Queen of the Nine Gallifreys.
History:
She was born in to the ancestral house of Heartshaven, one of the sub branches of the House of Lungbarrow on Gallifrey. She attended the Time Lord Academy while Braxiatel was a tutor there. She disliked the Academy and believed her class-were jealous because of her "effortless academic superiority" and was called “The Ice Maiden".
The White Guardian originally assigned her to assist the Doctor during the quest for the Key to Time, having appeared to her as the Lord President of Gallifrey. Shemet the Doctor near the age of 140. She found him to be quiet daft and lacking in intelligence. However as they searched for the various pieces of the Key to Time she had come to respect the Doctor for his greater experience and knowledge versus her stoic academic credentials.
Following the completion of the Key to Time mission, she chose not to immediately return to Gallifrey. The Doctor and Romana shared a few more adventures together. Then, she regenerated taking on the appearance of Princess Astra of Atrios, who had been the sixth and final segment of the Key.
The Doctor protested that she had no right to assume the likeness of another person, so she went briefly through other alternative forms, only to settle back on Astra's. She also initially chose a style of dress that mimicked the Doctor's, a hint of her sense of humour. The two had become relatively close friends.
After forgetting all about the matter, the Doctor received a message from the Time Lords requesting (or rather, ordering) him to return Romanadvoratrelundar to their home, to Gallifrey . Now that she had helped him find the segments to the Key to Time, which had been long over and they wanted her back. She, having tasted the life of adventure with the Doctor, and having bonded with him, clearly made it known that she didn't want to go back. En route, the Doctor's TARDIS entered a Charged Vacuum Emboitment, left their N-Space and entered another, smaller universe known as E-Space . During that time a lot of things changed, including meeting a young Alzarian boy named Adric, meeting Vampires, and she eventually met Biroc. She made the decision to stay with Biroc and helped free the Tharils, a race of feline humanoids alongside her ever faithful compantion, K-9 mark II.
Eventually she returned to N-Space and to Gallifrey, where she climbed up to the Presidency. Soon after taking office, however, she was abducted by the Daleks and spent more than two decades in captivity before finally escaping with the aid of the Doctor, now in his sixth incarnation. Upon returning to Gallifrey, she resumed my position as president.
Through her time as president she intiated diplomatic relations with the Daleks, and the Act of Master Restitution was signed, which was a peace treaty. Sometime prior to the destruction of Gallifrey, she regenerated once more and was much more ruthless, and she was less kind towards the Doctor. She never was one to be fond of the humans, although she did enjoy the time she spent in Paris during her second form.

She ran as hard as her weak legs could carry her; branches and leaves whipping past her fair skin tearing apart open wounds left upon her face. She looked over her shoulder hearing the creeping noise of something following her and deep within her hearts she knew it wasn’t the Doctor. He had merely told her to run and find the TARDIS; therefore, that was her immediate plan. She stopped to breathe for just a second her lungs finding it hard to breathe in the fresh air she had not experienced in over twenty years. But a snap of a twig nearby caused Romana to take off once more. With a yelp; her toes caught a tree root and she found herself tumbling down a mountain side. Her lungs could barely struggle a scream let alone a cry for help and her fingers grasped at whatever could be considered something to stop her fall. Finally with a thud; Romana felt her body collide with something solid. It was enough to cause the world around her to blur further and she blacked out, sliding down the tree stump and making contact with the soft forest floor below.
She was back in that cell again; strapped to a chair and feeling her biodata expelled from her body as if they thought it were water from a tap. The pain was numbing as she was getting used to it. Romana’s eyes darted back and forth as she watched the Daleks wheel around her, snapping orders for a potential ‘examination’. Romana had been persistent with them before refusing to give away Gallifreyan secrets. She kept her barriers around her mind even if it meant the rest of her body was growing weaker by the day. The examination in question however seemed to have some sort of arch. It couldn’t be, could it? Not the Chameleon Arch? Oh Rassilon… Romana thought to herself. They’re going to turn me into a human for their pure enjoyment! “No!” Romana cried. What would they do with her essence? Give it to another prisoner who had been weaned to the point of a mere babbling fool? “No, please…” The arch was placed over her head and Romana screamed.
She woke. She was lying on a metal table with a thin mattress underneath; further tubes and wires attached to her body but the room was pure white. It appeared she was alone and without clothing. Slowly, she sat up. This was different to the Daleks normal medical chambers. They were darker; more sinister, and what’s this… pain relief? Romana patted around herself and realised that the previous experience was just a dream. The Daleks didn’t make her human. Or perhaps they did and merely restored her essence since they couldn’t find a willing host. But this room… it was familiar. “Hello?” Romana called out and doors popped out from the white walls as they hissed open no doubt inviting Romana to walk over there. With pained yelps, Romana pulled the tubes and wires from around her body and she covered herself with her sheet. She dragged her legs to the side of the table and let her feet touch the cold floor where she stumbled a bit; but eventually recalled how to walk. She walked to the doors, eyes wide and alert for she was carrying one of the needles that had been in her body. It would be useless against a Dalek but from the look of this room it appeared something ELSE had taken her. Romana then stopped and looked back at the instruments. They didn’t appear to be hindering her. They were helping her. She looked at the needle in her hand and sniffed it; gaining sense of her own blood and restoration of biodata. Someone was keeping her alive.
Tying the sheet around her in a knot above her chest, Romana walked through the narrow corridor with both arms extended in order to keep herself balanced. Eventually she came to another set of doors and they still opened at her presence; but the next scene shocked her. “What?” She stared at the console room of the Sixth Doctor’s TARDIS in complete surprise. Her rescue wasn’t a dream, either. He really did come back for her.
“Ah, Romana! Glad to see you’re awake. I’m going to be needing your assistance if we’re going to make it back to Gallifrey with limited power…” The Sixth Doctor walked past her without immediate eye contact and Romana grabbed his arm. Her eyes were livid with rage. Sixth looked at her hand grabbing his arm and he looked into her battered face. “…aren’t you glad to see me?” SLAP. Sixth’s cheek had made contact with Romana’s free hand and he rotated his jaw as he rubbed his tingling cheek. He stared at his old friend in surprise. “Whatever was that for?”
“Twenty years!” Romana spat as she shrugged her hand away from Sixth’s arm. “Twenty bloody years and you didn’t even have the decency nor care to even ASK about me. What was the High Council doing all that time? Hmm? Sitting on their grotesque behinds pondering what’s next in their meaningless lives for they didn’t even BOTHER to announce a rescue mission? Oh are THEY going to get a hiding when I get back…”
Sixth continued to stare at Romana as she entered a flurry of rage. “Not even a word of thanks, then? Some rescue mission that was”. He turned away from her bitterly. Although he was mildly amused at her sudden outburst; for in that form she was always the quieter one. “Better get dressed, Romana. I highly doubt that the Council would like to see the safe return of their Lady President in a sheet”.
Romana was furious. What had happened to her jelly baby Doctor? Two faces later, he appeared to be nothing better off than a self centred old fuddy duddy. Not even the clothes appeared to mimic his ‘cheery’ personality. Out of the blue, Romana forced the Doctor to turn around with a brief tap on his shoulder. Upon doing so, she cupped her hands on either side of his cheeks and drew his face close to hers. She kissed him, a firm; single kiss, then drew away and marched up the stairs leaving the Doctor staring at her with still pursed lips. “There’s your thanks!” She snapped from the top of the stairs.
“I think I’m beginning to like her”. Sixth muttered with a chuckle, wiping his lips he returned to the console.
